Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
TwilightSurfer · 28/05/2010 20:40

okay either i am really really OLD or ya'll are learning to drive very very late in life because i've been driving for 24 years.

cyteen · 28/05/2010 20:41

You're just way advanced TS

MrsMiamla · 28/05/2010 20:42

sssh i'm doing an online tesco shop

thanks dizz, you know what though, yet again you have demonstrated what cyteen said about you giving so much for others and apologising for 'bleating on'. have a TM cyteen.. its the combo she was aiming for

i'm a bit concerned about DS. he was rubbing his tummy earlier saying 'owww' Part of me hopes he's copying me because if he's not copying then that means he's got a tummy ache. but if he is copying me, i'm obviously not doing a very good job at hiding my pain from him

cyteen just had a flick through your fb pics and he sure is one cool little dude! I do hope you don't have the SS on your doorstep for the one of him wandering the streets on his own though!

TS thank you to you too but now get back to enjoying your holiday!!!

dizzydixies · 28/05/2010 20:47

VG gave me homework and its now complete [preen] have taken the first step on my way to the scarey world of blogging [meep]

Miamla - am out of biscuits, could you order me some please?

thank you for my stug and please don't be worrying about DS, if he is copying you thats ALL he is doing, he won't understand and certainly won't associate it with DD - oh I love saying that !!!

MrsMiamla · 28/05/2010 20:49

oh TS.. you're soooo old! i've only been driving for 17 years

TwilightSurfer · 28/05/2010 20:50

Cyteen that's what my medical records said when I was pregnant with Reese, ADVANCED MATERNAL AGE.

TwilightSurfer · 28/05/2010 20:51

Where's that [stickyourtongueout] smiley!!

dizzydixies · 28/05/2010 20:51

do you not start earlier in the US though? a thought which frankly terrfies me, I'd like the age to be raised in the UK to at least 18 - having worked in the traffic dept I've seen too many things to want my girls to drive - then again do I trust them more behind the wheel or do I want them getting into cars with hormone driven teenage boys?!!? need answers, have only 10yrs to go

MrsMiamla · 28/05/2010 20:57

yay! well done on doing your homework dizz can't wait to see it

nope! biscuits are banned here... we have no self-restraint and can only eat them by the packet!

re DD

TwilightSurfer · 28/05/2010 20:59

learners permit acquired at 15 required accompaniment of licensed driver in the car over the age of 18

drivers license acquired at 16

dizzydixies · 28/05/2010 21:06

any further forward re DD's name Miamla? and boooooo for the biccies but I can hear Sazz going 'well done, no biscuits'

TS I was trying to lower your age there but you didn't catch on lol

TwilightSurfer · 28/05/2010 21:10

Dizzy thanks but it's all good. I'm out to prove that the 40s (when I get there) are the cool age to be.

dizzydixies · 28/05/2010 21:10
Grin
MrsMiamla · 28/05/2010 21:20

what biccies do you prefer?

re names... I really like Penelope but DH tried to get it taken off the list the other day! my trick with DS's name was to keep quiet for a long time, not liking any of the names he suggested and then when i came up with T, DH liked it So, i'm keeping quiet for now and will mention it again in a few weeks... you never know, i might even manage to convince him it was his idea
Middle name is probably 'Juliana' well at least it was going to be until he tried to take that off the list as well! Unless of course we end up with a first name ending in 'ana'

TS You may be old but surely you're years away from being 40...aren't you?!!

not getting far with my tesco shop!

dizzydixies · 28/05/2010 21:27

jaffa cakes and no need to whisper, she's not here

Penelope is lovely and was on our list till dsil named her pup Penny Juliana very pretty too - could that not be a first name? do you still work with the horrible Josephine

hotterpotter · 28/05/2010 21:29

Let's have less of the s re being 40 please... some of us well one are already well into that mighty fine decade

'Tis nothing to be scared of apart from the wrinkles

dizzydixies · 28/05/2010 21:29

ARSE sigh, bollox

I've just been asked to provide cakes for the dundee lit fest and its when I'm in fecking belfast - the only 2 days I've booked away the whole fecking year AARRGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I'll be in a corner, hugging my knees, rocking back and forward

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/05/2010 21:35

Evening all
I have only been driving about six years!
(just thought I would join in)
dizzy did you get my text lovey?

I am sat in my mums garden with a large red wine and a smoke ; )

sounds and looks like a rain forest up here, the birds sound amazing.

dizzydixies · 28/05/2010 21:37

no No1 - no text - everything ok?? how are things, have you time to hang about for a minute? would be lovely to hear how the kids are doing and if the cottage plans are coming on ok?

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/05/2010 21:42

Dizzy Have you changed your number? I have maybe o didn't copy it properly, it was to say I'm so sorry to here of your loss, I feel terrible I gabby been around for any of you. I'm so very sorry.

pertelote · 28/05/2010 21:42

Gah, who knows about flowers? Have just plonked a bunch of tulips in a vase (two viewings tomorrow) and now what looked lovely tied up looks stoopid. Advice anyone?

Cyteen remind me where you had your hen-w'end? From your FB pics it looks v like where we went for my friend's

Hullo No1! Lovely to see you! Hope all is going well for you and DCs?

Dizzy do you mean you've agreed? Or that you are to say no?

oh and pls can I come and play at Aug08 The Movie too? I promise to play nicely...

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/05/2010 21:43

Sorry typos bad, trying to get to grips with new iPhone, still not bought a lap top charger [ tight emoticon]

dizzydixies · 28/05/2010 21:46

No1 - have fb you the mobile number but no I haven't changed it

Pert - I don't know, it depends on what they want in terms of quantity and quality - I'm off the 6days prior to going and we leave the afternoon that the lit festival begins so I could maybe do enough for the first 2 days but I would't like to leave stuff for the last 2 days - AAARRGGHHHHHHHHH concert tickets bought and flights booked so can't cancel

how is the house selling/hunting going?

cyteen · 28/05/2010 21:51

pert it was a Tudor barn in Milden, Suffolk. Absolutely gorgeous place, I could have spent a week or two there in bliss. Fabulously comfy beds too. In fact, maybe it should go on the holding list for a future Aug08 meet-up...lots of beds, chickens out back, ping pong tables and barbecue available to guests, beautiful countryside all around. Sigh And Go Ape a mere hour's drive away

pertelote · 28/05/2010 21:58

Tricky Dizzy, I know the sort of dilemma. You completely deserve your time off though, and not to spend it slaving over a hot stove - and especially not worrying if there isn't really time to do things to your own satisfaction. That's not very useful advice but I hope at least it makes sense...

No serious viewings yet just curiosity ones. two tomorrow and one Tues so fingers crossed. I can't keep the house this tidy for very long... Got some viewings ourselves tomorrow too, only one I think is really any good but will let you know Hots what's happening with yours?
