Oh crispy dd1 does take after her mummy doesn't she?

VG welcome home, although I was very fond of LAdyGaGA

spring was it you whose ds is having undescended testicle op? Just wanted to say ds1 had this done at 13 months so am happy to chat about any worries

Loving the vocab of the aug08 gang. O keeps calling dh 'stee' (steve) instead of daddy. ds1 is affectionately called Toe (Tom) and I am memmy . Awww. and tonight after much prompting he said 'suff ooo' which is obviously Love YOu

Thor has learned to beg . If he wants something and you say 'no' he says 'o peeese' and waves his arms. It's very cute and hard to resist

No, I think he was trying to say 'suffocate you' after the rudeness of your post above . I'll have you know I have not bared my bottom in public since camping 3 weeks ago for ages now

cyteen · 16/06/2010 22:05

Am suffused with slightly tipsy benevolence and joy at the uber-cuteness of the Aug08 babies/siblings Have consumed some beer and taken delivery of our wedding rings AND my metal engagement ring. All are GORGEOUS. I am selling all my other rings forthwith, as shall never need to wear anything on my fingers again other than my lovely sapphire rock and white gold band.

dizzydixies · 16/06/2010 22:08

oh god I was going to come on and catch up tonight, apologies for being absent, but the 2.5hr parent council meeting has about finished me off

a quick lovely to see you VG, you were too much like a Lady Garden in your other form for my liking

TwilightSurfer · 16/06/2010 22:18

Cyteen you've had quiet the day. You're posts almost remind me of CNN: terror on the slide, unexpected birth, and finger fashions. Very emotional if I must say!

Dizzy I must apologize because I have not been to see your new FB postings today.

I've had a slightly Crispy day minus the cafe yard tinkle. Tennis, swim, lunch out, incorrectly paid preschool TWICE the monthly tuition, sorted paperwork, balanced checkbook, napped. Oh wait....Crispy never admits to napping.

Until later....

TwilightSurfer · 16/06/2010 22:19

quite NOT quiet

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/06/2010 22:26

VG no fountain thank goodness. I just ran over going nooooooooo, all in a kind of slow motion kind of way

TS you are right. You snooze you lose

cyteen rings sound fabulous. I have 3 rings i wear and no others

dizz lovely to see you fly through covered in cakey loveliness......

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/06/2010 22:28

Hey Hots, missed you there . You have taught him well

DH was trying to teach DD2 to say Westonbirt today and got as far as Whirrbirt

springaporesling · 17/06/2010 05:55

CC thanks but no not I (or should that be not DS?). DS says luff if he is just saying love mummy, love daddy, love cocolat but seemingly if he wants to say love you mummy/daddy it comes out 'peep po mummy/daddy' - have no idea why but he says this every time

Crispy what's the 3rd ring for? Cyteen I only ever wear my engagement ring and wedding ring too. Lovely news about cousin IL.

dizzydixies · 17/06/2010 07:45

D's most endearing thing is when she's saying night night but I wouldn't even know how to write it. She calls DD2 axey, quite appropriate somehow, loves clocks which are unfortunately cocks, and all food in num. It's a lovely time speech wise, some sentences & some confusion make it good fun. Dd2's speech has also come on leaps & bounds this past wee while bless her.

Have dd1at dentist this am, dh at work & another busy day with the empire

also had a mild cunning plan where DH takes dd2 & D to N.I next wk. D costs nothing to add, hopefully dd2 could go on my ticket, he can stay with his parents, I'll stay with dd1 & do lit fest. He can go to concert with mate & hopefully have a nice visit. Only problem is he's been cited for court on the Thurs and how much it would cost to swap my ticket. Sort of cunning though?

Morning

Both girls slept until 7.30 although DD2 was up at 3 and 6 too.

Cyteen -YAY for new rings

Crispy - sounds like a fab day out.

It is amazing how all the little ones are sudenly bursting with speach and very cute words.

VG - good to have you back as you.

Dizzy - you have done amazing things on FB with the KB page. Amazing how things have come along in such a short time.

HP - it took me a moment to figure out why you were pleased with DS saying stuff you

oopsandbabycoconut · 17/06/2010 08:58

Please can this thread never end - I love tat it is my very own birth thread and I often find myself reading the first pages and smiling when I realise it's me and I have another DD, also what lovely ladies you all are.

oopsandbabycoconut · 17/06/2010 09:02

oh dear it was Cece's DS who said 'suff oo' not HP's - I should read more carefully and spell chack as typing one handed is not good for spelling.

morning all

i've been lurking, not had a great time in RL, don't really want to talk about it but things are sunnier this morning so i'm back with a smile

loving all these words! DS's list consists of

more = could i possibly have some more of that delightful food you just gave me, hear that story again, play more football etc

closely followed by....

meee = please (if i've ignored his original 'more'!)

bootball = football

high pitched squeak means that he's seen a cat

oooooooof = dog

dee=yes

choochoo=train

brrrrrrrrrrr=plane or helicopter

nee nor = anything with a flashing light

uf uf = hot

ee or = covers anything vaguely horse like..donkeys, horses,zebras, goats...

un, ooo, eeee = one, two, three

iya=hello

daddy car = all red cars

everybody who goes to the toilet at our house (even guests ) get a running commentary about what they're doing... weee wee weeeeeee

beejuw= the name of all of his soft toys

more obvious ones
peas, car, quack quack, toast, NO!

actually just recently he's started having a think about his answers to questions. He'll say 'errrrrmmmmm' followed by a dramatic pause and then his reply of either 'dee' or 'NO'

sorry, this is all more for my benefit to keep a record! just re-read the list and most of them are the sounds of the thing and not the name but it means we understand what he's looking for so not a bad thing!

oh and i felt a bit guilty the other day. he spilt his drink (deliberately) and went and sat in his 'naughty spot' by himself! I was amazed, we've used it a maximum of once a fortnight, and not even that some weeks!

i'm going to stop now before i get really boring

MrsMiamla · 17/06/2010 10:16

lol VG your wish is my command! what a great x post!

MrsMiamla · 17/06/2010 10:17

don't start no birth threads for me just yet...i'm months and months and months away

cyteen · 17/06/2010 13:50

Okay, without mentioning anything about the birth (which will obviously be of the choral harps and tweety bird-accompanied style ), what are your current thoughts on names MrsM? Have you and DH made any further progress?

ah ha but you see, I'm not worried about the birth bit, its the having a baby at home who we haven't done any prep for yet that's worrying me! And yes, I have indeed booked the local harpists for the big event

my due date is 29/8 so as I said, months and months and months away

and cyteen, vg's right..her RL name is still on the list (amongst about a hundred other options!)

dizzydixies · 17/06/2010 16:02

VG

cyteen, lovely news

Miamla - we're all right here to panicwithyou help, just ask, shout, wail {{hugs}}

love to you all, I'm still being crap and thank feck for Red frankly [meep]

GladioliBuckets · 17/06/2010 17:31

Ello, just popping on to say I have officially registered as a self-employed admin person with my 2 clients waiting to pay me far more than I expected! I will even be able to afford a CM for K once or twice a week if I can get one. Hurrah for friends turning out to be more professional than you'd ever noticed.

Now off to bake hummingbird cupcakes for ILS who are babysitting tonight while me and DH go our separate musical ways.
