OK caught up.

oops hope mini one is doing ok

loti how's things today?

Hi everyone else

Actually that should be a as I've been feeling a bit low the last week. Feeling stressed at work but not sure if thats tied into finding out I've got a bald spot...therefore, it got me thinking that maybe I'm stressed (iyswim). Too much to do and not enough time to do it. I'm seeing my gp on weds so will see what she says. Maybe time to up the meds for a while . I don't want to take time off work, because I'd just find it harder to go back. Plus I'm useless being alone when I'm down, I need to be busy and then take down time when I'm feeling better/happier. blah blah blah, sorry for bleating on. I just feel like crying

DD2 been checked this morning and weighed - the little porker has put on 8oz in 5 days they warned me not to expect her to be over birthweight today as most don't get there until 2 weeks. She is now off the chart for height and on the 91st for weight which is huge compared to DD1 who was on thed 9th for both.

Farmshop brekker was delicious [chubby emoticon] I must go see the HotMamas!

oopsandbabycoconut · 06/06/2010 12:43

Oh Cece - ((((HUGS))))

dizzydixies · 06/06/2010 12:48

oh Cece, if you feel like crying then that is exactly what you should do. Where is it written that you have to be chipper and feeling like you are coping 100% of the time? Fully understand about the work thing though, I am having a very similar debate after last night's 'just checking in' phone call - just checking in my arse I'm finally feeling physically ok (just the usual tiredness of everyday life as opposed to utter exhaustion) and although I'm still all over the place mood wise and a bit weepy I'm wondering if the longer I'm off the worse it will be going back - my lot are a bunch of bastards though Please see what your GP says and take their best advice rather than pushing on with 'ease' in mind {{hugs}}

dizzydixies · 06/06/2010 12:49

glad to hear it Oops - I never quite understood (or got into) the whole chart/ scale thing but it sounds good very re farmshop brekker, too close to pay day for indulgences

TwilightSurfer · 06/06/2010 13:26

Dizzy I just found this food blog and wanted to show you. I love it and it's gluten free stuff so good for ALL. LOL! Anyway just sharing.

TwilightSurfer · 06/06/2010 13:40

Captain I'm sitting mighty close to where you are sitting. I think that's why I'm so frazzles doing all these nonsensical things when relaxing is what I should do but so hard when down. Let me know how it goes with GP. I'm hoping going back to pilates is going to help me...although I was going when this dark cloud set in.

Oops nicely done with that wee one.

Time to shower then figure out something I can wear to pilates then to market. Hopefully I can shop quick and run into to no one I know. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!!!!!! I totally make myself laugh. Market's too packed to shop quick and I've NEVER been where I didn't run into AT LEAST a half dozen folks I know. Oh well they'll just have to see me in my pilates garb!!

dizzydixies · 06/06/2010 14:03

thanks TS, sorry to hear your cloud descending too what is bothering you? work, rest or play? You're an inspiration to me with all you manage to get done and get involved in and I'm blaming you for the fact I've signed up for a bodybalance course to be started at our local sports club - they have to have so many people show interest so I flung my name down!

alittlebitshy · 06/06/2010 14:30

Lord this is a sad thread me too

Higs to ts dizzy and cece and i know where you;re at For me it is a constant up and down battle (and i ^should have gone to my gp re coming to ani deps back in maybe feb but time has passed, plus I feel i neeeeed them atm), and i judge myself by how dd is behaving and how well i cope with the dc which is now how i should be rating myself but .

oops yum yum at farmhouse brekker.
Also yay for dd2@s weight gain. love chubby babies: neither of mine went below 91st centile for weight, dd was off the fecking chart . .

TwilightSurfer · 06/06/2010 15:29

Dizzy THAT IS WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!! Do they have a link? I'd love to read about your bodybalance course. YOU GO GIRL!

I didn't mean to sound so low. I'm handling things but feel I'm crabby a lot more than I should be. I want to simplify things in my life but don't have the time to simplify just yet. I'm just a very impatient person and I WANT IT NOW!! I keep searching my calendar for that slow down point which might happen in a couple of weeks. Finger's crossed.

((hugs)) right back ALBS

Time for me to leave for pilates. Reese is pulling DD1's hair, DD1's crying about it. GOOD LORD GIVE ME STRENGTH! DH's is on duty so bah-bye.

dizzydixies · 06/06/2010 15:43

TS, baheave youself, our wee local sports centre should have been demolished in the 1960s but they couldn't be arsed!!! if its the same as the one I was considering in the nearest town it should be something like this :

Yoga based activity. Body Balance is a dynamic Yoga-based stretch programme that leaves you feeling relaxed and renewed. Body Balance combines the fundamental principles and practices of Yoga and Pilates, such as controlled breathing, concentration, flexibility and strength training to create a holistic workout that brings the body, mind and soul into a state of balance and harmony. Body Balance invigorates and tones, releasing tight, tense muscles, leaving you in a state of energised calm. Body Balance promotes good health, is a natural remedy to stress and is great fun!

etc etc etc

LadyGardenia · 06/06/2010 16:44

Sorry to hear of thread lows .

It's such a cliche but exercise is so good for the mental health, so the body balance sounds like a good idea. Cavey do you feel worse when the hockey season is done?

Loti enjoy your flying visit!

We are just back from our camping/festival fun and it was great. Lovely weather yesterday (lashing rain today) and v nice friends, fab food there, lots for the smalls to do, heard Anne Enright in interview/chat, plus gig-wise, Lily Allen singing with Crystal Swing, what more could a body ask for??

Abs shattered and we are all rather grumpy today so baths all round and some restoring supper on the cards.

CaptainCaveman · 06/06/2010 17:00

Def feel worse when not exercising VG, I need to make time to go running or something . Trying to be organised when feeling out of sorts is not my best forte . I'm not too bad, certainly not as bad as Ihave felt before now, but mindful to look after myself.

Prayers all round for joy is the order of the day

Tell me, how do you get a 22 month old to stop fiddling with his willy? He shoves his hands into his nappy any way he can and usually manages to extricate it from its Pampers prison , resulting in many a wet pair of trousers and socks. Never had this much trouble with ds1!!

OP posts:
MrsMiamla · 06/06/2010 17:07

cece i reckon you should take his nappy off, let him have full access and by the time he's 40* the novelty will have worn off

  • age selected from own personal experience! i was going to put 30 originally but realised this wasn't true, eg my DH! I can't think of anyone over 40 who fiddles but I accept I may be proved wrong on this! Or perhaps they just get a bit more subtle as they get older
hotterpotter · 06/06/2010 17:57

Hell we're back from drowning camping

Random traffic jams added an hour to the journey there and back, we camped next to camp bore man, DS didn't get to sleep until 10pm, both DC wide awake at 7am, it has rained most of today and the house is full of soggy crap but it was great and can't wait to do it again

Better go and get tea ready as was hoping for an early night from the DC but will be back later to catch up properly

hotterpotter · 06/06/2010 18:06

that's twice I have gone to type hello and typed hell ...

CaptainCaveman · 06/06/2010 19:05

hotpot you make camping sound fab , perhaps I should invest in a tent

Sorry to hear of the blues running through the thread . My neighbour and i were only discussing this last night that people seem to have so much on their plates atm and struggling through. Her DH is just about to leave for a trial separation so she is pretty mis

Went to the garage this morning. No-one about . Finally salesman came back from a test drive and proceeded to completely ignore us (rather than a quick hello, i'll be tied up for 15 mins but please help yourself to tea and coffee. Not rocket science one would have though ). So we left. Not so impressed with their 'big sale weekend extravaganza'
Went to the pub for lunch and had a mediocre meal, then on to a 4th party for one of DD1's friend. I now have serious house and garden envy
DD's in bed and i have a headache so going off for a soak in the bath

Oh and i have just randomly messaged someone on FB. I lost contact with a friend at Uni an have never been able to contact her (living in some pretty explosive areas of the Middle East). SO i google her every now and then as she has a very unique name. Finally a photo came up today of her at a business lunch. Still no way to contact, but the girl sitting next to her also had a unique name so i googled her and came up with a FB profile. I then proceeded to send her a message on the offchance that she actually knows my friend rather than just being sat next to each other as a result of a seating plan. She is going to think i am crazy stalker nuts isn't she?

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/06/2010 19:26

Actually don't answer that question

CaptainCaveman · 06/06/2010 19:43

lol crispy you know yourself so well. (mind you, I do stuff like that too!!)

OP posts:
CaptainCaveman · 06/06/2010 19:45

I've just agreed to be someone's friend who I think I went to school with. I say think. We have 48 mutual friends in common, all of whom are school friends. Trouble is, she looks like no one I went to school with!!! How mad am I? (again, don't feel obliged to answer )

OP posts:
CaptainCaveman · 06/06/2010 19:45

on facebook of course! Not in rl

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 06/06/2010 20:17

Captain I gained a FB friend that way and it was only after a YEAR that it hit me who she was. LOL! She's English and transplanted here as a child, attending my private school. She was a few grades younger but oddly I finally remembered her first day of school. I believe it was her accent that got logged in my memory banks. LOL!

Pilates was great BUT I will be unable to move in the morning. It was a Level 1 Reformer class that instantly got converted to a Level 2 once all 5 class members arrived. Seemed only one of us was "really" a Level 1 person. I do feel for her. BTW VG the exercise is a big emotional boost for me. That's why I'm getting a sitter on Tuesdays or Thursday so I can get that mid week kick I need.

Lost what I was going to type next but still chuckling a little from HP's "HELL WE'RE BACK!"

HELL I'M BACK TOO!

TwilightSurfer · 06/06/2010 20:27

somebody smack me! here i am needed to simplify and i've just fb'd with my aunt to go see her on friday. do i have anything scheduled on that day? i think that was my only free day this week. she is a wonderful aunt and was very close to my mother (she was her sil). plus she'll be sitting for my cousin's daughter who is a month older that dd1. i'd say it will be fine.

dizzydixies · 06/06/2010 20:42

Crispy, what a pain in the arse, we didn't buy another mazda for the very same reason - silly sods
