oh and dcousin phoned today to say she has got the girls a pony it is one where a lady had her out on loan but didn't like how she was being treated and can't afford to take her back. Dcousin is going to stable her etc on the grounds that the lady can visit etc but the girls get preference as long I don't have to pay I'm delighted. On the flip side I asked how my aunt was doing (the other one is away to Spain to visit the third one) and she said she was angry and upset after the argument - feck knows what that means but I guess I'll just have to accept the fact I'm not being spoken to at the minute shitey phone call from work too which I couldn't be arsed with either

Oops - tart sounds lovely and glad the check up went well, do you have to go in every day with E?

CrispyTheCrisp · 05/06/2010 18:33

Oh fab news on the pony, the girls will be made up i'm sure

Don't fret about the Aunt stuff, IMO it is up to them to come to you and (hopefully) apologise, i would leave them to stew until then. Ditto for work. Feckers.

Girls playing nicely here but knackered so I am sure it will go Pete Tong very soon

dizzydixies · 05/06/2010 18:38

is the bbq at yours so you can put them to bed? mine are all filthy so after tea are allowed to watch the end of the DVD then bed in their filth - gymnastics in the morning so no point in baths tonight

CrispyTheCrisp · 05/06/2010 18:43

LOL @ bed in filth . DH chucked ours in the shower, and then gave in and got in with them once utterly soaked

CrispyTheCrisp · 05/06/2010 18:44

Oh and yes, BBQ here. One neighbour has her 13 yr old son with her so we have left the small tent up in the garden and will give him the camping lantern and he can amuse himself rather than listening to us lot gossiping/wingeing

luckoftheirish · 05/06/2010 18:52

evening ladies,

thank you so much for all your lovely words.. tis been a trying day with hangover, very grumpy "h" poorly dd1 and manic dd2.. phew..

"h" now off to his jollie boys night out in notts and won't be back til 12.30pm tom... think i am going to have a very quiet night and have a good old think about things..

he did mention something similar to me when we were in Cyprus at the wedding when i had a few glasses of wine.. think is getting drunk is no longer the forefront of my mind.. i am so happy getting up early and enjoying my time with my girls.. guess he just thinks i'm boring... have been making more of an effort to spend some time with him hence last night but it still isn't enough..

enough about me...

oops glad you had fun baking with dd1 today and dd2 sounds heavenly.. hoping her fast breathing is just her way

dizzy did i hear correct a pony? ..

sazz hope bbq goes well and remember your hot mamas!!! only kidding i have consumed my body weight in junk already this weekend {hangover cure}

waves to everyone else xxx

dizzydixies · 05/06/2010 19:14

yes, LOTI a fecking pony and as ungrateful as that sounds how the hell am I ever going to top that?! I'm already seen as the mean one for not living closer and having to bring them home but now away from Shannon the Pony too I was going to pay for a few of her friends to go on a pony trek for her 7th birthday but fear that may pale in comparison

sorry to hear of hangover and bodyweight in juck a requisite in those circumstances!!

cyteen · 05/06/2010 19:41

Hello all, sounds like everyone has been enjoying a similar outdoorsy day We have had the ultimate family Saturday: DP cleared up the yard while I took DS to the park, then this afternoon we all went down to the local festival for a stroll and judge around the park. Took DS on his first ever fairground ride (a very thrilling round-in-a-flat-circle carousel ) which he loved, so cute seeing his little face. Mooched back for spag bol tea and now DP is doing bath and bedtime

What is it about the summer that means extra dirt all round? DS was only in the bath last night and needed one again today.

dizzy a pony, how marvellous. Never mind all the family bolleaux, just concentrate on the part where it's free

loti when you say 'enough about me' I couldn't agree more. Enough about you making all the running, enough about you trying to be all things to all people when you don't get anything back. THIS IS NOT ABOUT YOU, not about what you do, cos you can flog yourself into the ground but it won't make a jot of difference when he's refusing to even contemplate changing even a little bit.

dizzydixies · 05/06/2010 20:00

cyteen, my lot are so tired, filthy and sticky but have been sent to bed with aftersun rubbed in over their sand (lovely gritty feeling) and put to bed pleased to say none of them damaged from sun which is more can be said about my shoulders am idiot and was so busy making sure they were done I missed a bit of myself [prize pillock award] your day sounds perfect and glad DS enjoyed his ride

oopsandbabycoconut · 05/06/2010 20:26

Dizz - yes we go everyday until Thursday and will hopefully have been discharged by paediatrics team on Wednesday.

Sazz BBQ sounds good, you have tempted me to light a fire here.

Cyteen - day sounds heavenly and yes, the summer causes the dirt to breed on DD but she too has gone to bed filthy!

dizzydixies · 05/06/2010 20:33

will keep my fingers crossed Oops, hope you're at least local to the hosp?

GladioliBuckets · 05/06/2010 20:47

Loti It's not about you not giving him enough attention, he's a grown man FFS. The 'turning on you' tactic is another tick on the ba**ard list btw, deliberately disorienting you and making you feel that you did something wrong. Classic controlling behaviour. Or could it be that when he sees you happy and relaxed, he feels threatened? (again wouldn't be your fault if he did.) How many times have you had with him this year that started out fun and stayed fun?

TwilightSurfer · 06/06/2010 02:57

hi. i am so tired i'm loopy. not sure i could pack anymore into today. high point: chicken tacos with dd1.

guess what i might get to take tennis lessons this summer. oh and i hired a sitter so i can do pilates on tuesday. and we have out town family staying wednesday & thursday. three different dental visits & dd1's first summer tennis lesson on monday. by friday i might need a drink. see you all tomorrow.

luckoftheirish · 06/06/2010 07:24

Morning,

Wow TS sounds like your summer is jam packed already .. your pliates will sort you right out tho ...

Buckets you are always so full of wisdom.. maybe he does feel threathened i'm not sure..

we have had very few nights out lately together but am begining to think there i a theme in that he always ends up getting the hump ..

dd1 was allowed a special treat to sleep with me last night.. she was still awake at 10pm.. she thought we were having a sleepover .. thankfully she is still asleep atm!!!

we are off to Dublin tonight on literally a flying visit {or else LG you would have been contacted in a flash}... so we will have to be nicey nicey in front of my dad [sigh]... hey ho at least i can stock up on lots of irish chocolate [but don't tell the hot mamas]

oopsandbabycoconut · 06/06/2010 08:00

Morning all

DD1 up at 6.15 yelling, I think her dreams are waking her as she speaks utter nonsense until she opens her eyes.

GB - I have put my birth story in Birth Announcements if you want a read.

DD2 slept from 11 until 4 last night then DD1 woke her at 6.45. So I have had a fair amount of sleep and have let DH sleep in as he has been up with DD1 at 6.30/7 all week.

Off to hospital in a bit - it's a 40min journey Dizz which is a pain but we can stop of tea and cake on the way home at my favorite farmshop cafe.

oopsandbabycoconut · 06/06/2010 08:01

LOTI - travel safe and try and enjoy it.

luckoftheirish · 06/06/2010 08:03

morning oops and thank you! its always good to see the green green grass of home ..

what a little trooper dd2 is!! cannot wait to see more pics xx

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/06/2010 08:23

Had a lovely BBQ last night although I am being reminded of the lentil salad fairly frequently

Good news on the 5hr stretch last night Oops and hope all goes well at the hozzie. Farm shop a must i reckon

Hope your trip goes ok LOTI and DH steps up to the plate. Enjoy your morning with the girls

TS you are doing more than me LOL

DD1 and I are watching 101 dalmations (the recent one not animated Disney) and DD2 sitting on the floor putting DD1's shoes on, all very peaceful for now

May go and look at cars today, although this may be tempting fate for us to get a no from the Insurance tomorrow.

cyteen · 06/06/2010 08:27

Heh, we're having a v lazy Sunday morning since it's black with rain outside - DS is watching some Night Garden while DP and I mooch. Was hoping to get up to the allotment later but think it might be a touch muddy.

dizzydixies · 06/06/2010 08:42

Cyteen, its sodding raining here too, suppose I couldn't hope for 2 dry days in a row D up at 6.15 and the other two only just up so I'm afraid I stuck on tv and left her too it whilst I snoozed state of kitchen serves me right and now have to put everything back!

Oops - hurrah for decent sleep & farm shop

Loti - enjoy your trip, is it just you and DC or is DH going too? can you get me some golden crisp please?!?

Sazz are you really surprised re the lentil salad?! anything in mind car wise or just browsing?

my three are wrestling again and if only I had a pound for how many times I've told DD2 to be careful or gentle we'd all be sodding millionaires [sigh] DD2 distraught at the demise of 'wee hollie' the balloon dog that the lady made for her yesterday and is not beating lumps out of DD1 with an inflatable squeaky dolphin - got to love fecking Gala Days

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/06/2010 08:51

dizz i am glad you have said that about DD2 as it is all i say to DD1 with absolutely no effect

Probably going to Volvo garage as they have a sale weekend thingummy going on

dizzydixies · 06/06/2010 08:58

Lordy, you've met her, you KNOW what she's like good to hear, I love a good thingymmy

Friends had their twin boys early yesterday but all well, no names yet. Makes me happy to hear but also a little sad as other friends lost their twin boys at 21wks a short time ago - makes you wonder why things happen for some and not for others. DH and I watched 'Time Travellers Wife' last night which was possibly a mistake and I think I'm getting my period this morning. Upsetting but at least might draw a line under this all somehome?

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/06/2010 09:18

Congratulations to your friends on their twins dizz, and yes it is so cruel what happens to some and not others. No rhyme or reason .
With your period, there is no line to draw, only a physical and emotional recovery path to be trodden. However having a period sounds like your body is getting back on track and you and DH can start to choose what you want to do moving forward? . {{{big hugs lovely}}} - they are more my forte than words

GladioliBuckets · 06/06/2010 11:58

Oh shit, I've got to go look at a potential new car this avo BY MYSELF!!! DH has officially given me permission to buy it (so he can extend his night away) and I was hoping my dad would come help but he's busy. Car is at Hayling Island so after lunch I'll take the 3 kids to play at the seaside there then 'do' car stuff . Plan is also (to spite DH) to take Tesco cubcard vouchers and stop for tea on the way home at Prezzo. Had been saving them for Cornish holiday but sod him (am not actually cross, just grasping at excuses to induloge myself).

CaptainCaveman · 06/06/2010 12:11

Hi ladies, sorry it's been a few days, just been caught up in rl .

Alton Towers with ds1 was FAB, the weather was gorgeous and it wasn't too busy. Also had a great night out with old school friend thurs eve.

Dh was away last night and we had a cracking 2 hour thunder storm , some mighty loud bangs!

Just going to try and catch up....
