Too pooped to type. The outlaws have left and were in good form on their own special scale.

Dd2 is potty-trained in the day time and can wait for a few minutes to find a loo. Hurrah!!! She just decided for herself that she wanted pants and that was that.

Ms Dizzy is a whirlwind by the way. Am clinging on to the coat-tails of her world domination bid.

Oops - at dd1
TS - that account of the aquarium visit made me guffaw.

LG - some proofreader I am. I thought you were offering vin rouge Aussie.

I think I'm so wrecked because I went for a 'f'eezin' swim today and I haven't managed to warm back up. I need one of those wetsuit yokes.

And my extension starts a week on Monday. I am totally incapable of doing anything to get ready.

pertelote · 01/06/2010 21:36

Property update: we are going back for a second viewing tomorrow morning We have two second viewings on our place lined up So fingers crossed.

Buckets good to have you back! Sounds like a lovely trip

Glad you are feeling somewhat better QoD, at the wolves following S up and down! There was a lion doing something similar at Miamla's wedding

Cece your colleague certainly needs Something To Be Said. How rude.

Hullo everyone

TwilightSurfer · 02/06/2010 00:47

Pertelote you are making me consider moving.

The planets are all messed up in my astrological life and I am feeling the consequences. GGRRRRRR!

LadyGardenia · 02/06/2010 07:51

Morning all, Redser you were in the sea? Well done, nice way to mark 1st June. Is your dh going to the space workshop ?

Beautiful day here today, hurrah, but we are going to playgroup so won't be enjoying the weather this morning.

No word from ds1 on trip a text message would be comforting but I suppose if you are staying up all night drinking Coke and napping through your Irish classes by day you could be considered too busy to bother. He will be back, in rag order, on Friday.

Newsflash: I know some of you, namely cyteen, are allotmenteers and I only have a small patch in the back garden BUT BUT BUT there are strawberries the size of my little fingernail almost blushing pink, there are tons of gooseberries (still tiny) on the bush, you can see what will become apples on the tree (was there before we moved in, can't take credit), and my three lots of beans (potted) are growing vigorously up their wigwams. And some small amount of very thin rhubarb. I feel outrageously proud. I just wish we had space for chickens. Then we could live off the fat of the land.

CrispyTheCrisp · 02/06/2010 08:17

Good luck this morning pert, fingers crossed you still love it and you get an offer in on yours

TS

GardeniaTheGardener well done on all your produce, you will eat like vegetarian kings. My coriander is doing SO much better than before, i also have basil, parsley, chives, rocket, mixed salad, tomatoes, strawbs (hundreds of wild and a few cultivated) and a redcurrant bush dripping with redcurrants (as long as the birds don't get them). Such a nice feeling to be able to enjoy things so fresh from the garden

Brrrr red on your sea swimming, I dipped a toe in last weekend and the poor thing turned blue and nearly fell off. Re getting ready for the extension i would buy a big sheet and hide behind it

Cece good luck with your fuckwit unprofessional colleague this morning. Happy to come and let he know whats what it needed?

Weather crap here atm, very misty. However set to be 26 degrees so i shall pause my moaning for a while. Off to a friends to play and lunch this morning then going to see mum & dad until Friday so i may be out of radio contact . See you all soon.........

MrsMiamla · 02/06/2010 08:45

morning all

DS is currently 'riding' a hanger whilst running round the living room.... I think its a plane

lovely story re missOops. Fortunately we won't have the same problem, all DS can say is 'I've got a duck', although he does like hiding in cupboards!

Oh, unless you count 'unnnnn, oooooo, eeeeeee' as counting 1,2,3

had panic yesterday, realised i didn't know where the envelope stuffed with cash and vouchers from my colleagues (for our wedding) was. after a fair bit of searching this morning, and whilst following miamla logic for putting things in careful places, i found it down the back of the chest of drawers in our hall

ooooh, forgot to say....we had a 3D scan yesterday!!!! pics on fb!!!!!

i have caught up, but i can't remember anything..sorry... i will try harder

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 02/06/2010 15:07

Hey everyone.
Miamla glad you found the gift, I have a tendency to put things in a safe place and forget. I'm fact dh wants rings back, but I don't know where they are, tempted to tell him I weighed them in, such an Indian giver!

It is our fifth wedding anniversary today, and he gave me a card, was a lovely one but sadly all a little too late, he sent me a pic message of Dcs on the beach today, as he has took them to coast for the day.

Ts you sound stressed my love.

Vg I too want chickens, and have already found my supplier for if and when I get the cottage!
I hope you hear from ds1. I know I would be anxious, I am worrying if kids have sun cream and hats on today, can't switch off can we.

Hope everyone ok, will catch up more later, o have had a lovely morning riding, and brushed gem so much she is gleaming, I'm just sat outside local pub with a pop ony own, before I go shift 65 bales of hay!

I may not survive to tell the tale, I shifted 15 last night and needed a drink. Lol

dizzydixies · 02/06/2010 15:59

No1 - he wants the rings back?!?! tell him to feck off and you'll keep them safe for C

VG photos please - would love to see the progress of your garden as it might inspire me to get off my arse and do something with ours and if you buy as many eggs as I do get some chickens

miamla - I saw the scan photos, fab and well done on finding the envelope. I normally have to stand in the middle of the room, shut my eyes and pretend to go and put the lost thing away again to find things (hence the dizzy!!)

TS - sun is here please feel free to pop round!

today I've made white chocolate and blueberry muffins, double choc chip muffins and an orange yogurt cake for the school summer fete - the orange yogurt cake became a casualty of afternoon tea but the rest, along with the st clements mini muffins, were delivered by DD1 to the school this afternoon bless her - we'll probably end up buying them all back tonight

Red - got your email thank you. I think I'm going to have to get lessons on the technical USAGE of the blog though as its all well above my computing skills you are a huge help and inspiration though - thank you x

girls at park with A (long story there but I'll keep it to myself) and I'm having 5 minutes to myself which is bliss. Bendy bus garden doors are open and I can smell the lavender in the breeze my hip is extremely painful however and the pain is now travelling down my leg to my knee - consult for private hosp came in for next wed and I had planned to be at the farm however I can't face being in this much pain so will shuffle things about a bit.

Went to see SITC with 2 lovely friends last night, treated ourselves to premier seating as it was cheap seat night, sat down (looking like a bag of shite that had been dragged through a bush) and turned to see my verypassionateonenightstand15yrsago friend and his extremellyattractiveblondesuccessfulpartnerwhorunsaneventscompanyandthey'rejustbackfromMonacoGrand Prix new partner walking up and of course sitting right next to us - my face was varying shades of purple through bright red and of course we were there before the lights went down

dizzydixies · 02/06/2010 15:59

ah now that didn't work did it?!

cyteen · 02/06/2010 16:15

If only I was nearer dizzy, I would head to the school fete and buy all your cakes This is the effect my visiting family have on me [exhausted emoticon]

Hi no1 Glad you're getting a moment to yourself here and there, and glad too that your H seems to have discovered that it is possible for a dad to handle his two young children alone. Just a shame he didn't work it out before but I bet they're enjoying having some Daddy time now, especially if it involves trips to the coast and whatnot.

We need a summer picnic meet, I reckon. Anyone up for it? The Peak District is nice...

dizzydixies · 02/06/2010 16:23
dizzydixies · 02/06/2010 16:38

too far

LadyGardenia · 02/06/2010 16:58

Oh hello I have been unable to post

dizzy I could gobble a few cakes atm myself but sadly having seen photos of myself at christening last week or whenever it was I think cakes are the last thing I need.

I put some Fat of the Land pics on FB, the MN photo uploader thing's always a disaster for me.

Sudden urge for coffee...

oopsandbabycoconut · 02/06/2010 17:28

Afternoon

Been to get DD2 checked at clinic today - midwife is as useless postnatally as she was during pregnancy!! Then I took the girls to BF cafe and DD1 got to see her 'bestie fend' who has been away on holiday. I met another mum who's baby was born just after DD2 and had heard from the MW about DD2's rapid entry entry into the world.

Dizzy -baking sounds great, care to share??

LG - you garden piccies are amazing, ours is a little neglected this year but hopefully will be on track again soon.

Miamla - 3D scan is fantastic, they never cease to amaze me.

I know I've missed some people sorry will try again later.

dizzydixies · 02/06/2010 17:34

always for you lot oops - what do you wish to know?! lovely that E is making potential friends already - I hope you asked the other mother all the correct interviewing questions

Poppy - I keep meaning to ask, have you done your walk yet? Can I sponsor you??

Pert - am keeping all things crossed for ALL the viewings x

dizzydixies · 02/06/2010 20:39

where is everybody?!!? I've been in school fete hell - are you having a thread BBQ without me [nae mates]

pertelote · 02/06/2010 21:03

I'm here Dizzy... having a wild evening alone on the sofa with knitting and ice cream to celebrate the fact that we bought a house today

Well, to be fair, we have had an offer accepted. Long way to go. But they are clearly a bit nervous about the fact that we have not sold ours as they have a deadline to move. And today's 2nd viewing (of ours) didn't feel that positive. But we have another two coming up so... woohoo, right?

oopsandbabycoconut · 02/06/2010 21:10

YAY Pert fingers crossed for you secong viewings.

I'm here Dizzy -I think I scared everyone off with my constant referrals to my DD2!!

Did your cakes all sell?

pertelote · 02/06/2010 21:21

Oops have you been here before?! These women would crawl over broken glass to hear you talk about DD2 Well done on getting out to clinic and cafe! Nice to know you're a local legend, eh?

MrsMiamla · 02/06/2010 21:25

argh! just found half a message on my screen from hours ago so i'll post it now and then catch up!

oooh, I finally remembered to ask DH who he wanted to play him in our film... His reply "Dirk Diggler"

no1 hello! lovely to see you! Just reading your fb updates today has made me feel exhausted! Well done on getting a sneak pub trip in there too though!

dizz my usual trick for finding things is to look for something else. and then, once i find the lost thing, I put it back in the place I looked in originally. it does generally work...mostly!

dizzydixies · 02/06/2010 21:40

OMG Pert thats WONDERFUL!!!!! am free all next year for housewarming except 11th June when I'm at a wedding in Stamford

mimla - loving dirk diggler

Oops - all cakes gone by the time we got there so DD2 made me buy some pathetic looking crispy cakes and never stop talking about the lovely DD2

pertelote · 02/06/2010 21:56

Miamla I had to google that, you might have warned me

Thanks Dizzy, I'm hoping we'll be in before next year! Definitely expect you at the housewarming when we are though
