OMG Red get your DH to apply for this!!!

hotterpotter · 01/06/2010 10:16

Hello lovelies

Grey day here but we are off to the camping shop in a few minutes to buy pan and sleeping bags etc in case we go camping at the weekend [eek]

Sazz I see your 7.30 and raise you an 8.10

Just had a nice lady from the council on about school admissions for DD. Apparently there are 6 children on the list for the village school and DD wouldn't necessarily go on at the bottom, more food for thought if we ever get our arses in gear Readyforanything don't worry we will still be in this house when DD is going to senior school...

LOL at you lot running out the door. I'll bet DD1 thought it was great fun

luckoftheirish · 01/06/2010 10:57

Morning ladies...

at your 8.45am wake up dizzy .. we did 7.20 for dd2 which was very impressive but she did chat til gone 8pm last night!!..

bbq was a success for bil tho dh and i worked from 8am til 2am to make it happen.. 4 1/2 hours sleep on the sofa before dd2 woke up!! so yesterday was fit for nothing!!

haven't had a second to catch up but hope all is well and dd1 tummy gets better crispy xx

QueenofDreams · 01/06/2010 11:35

hey everyone, hope you are all ok, haven't had time to catch up.
Am ok here. I went to the doctor and asked him for some different tablets as the ones I was on weren't helping. So the new prescription is so much better I actually feel functionally human now.
My mum is still here and she's been so fantastic I don't know what I'll do when she goes home Seb is loving having her here and has become really attached to her.
We all went to the wildwood trust park yesterday which was lovely and S loved it. The wolves seemed really fascinated with him as well and were following him up and down the boundary of their enclosure. Maybe he looks tasty

QueenofDreams · 01/06/2010 11:37

Oh forgot to say huge congratulations to oops and family. I saw the pics on fb and she looks just delicious

CaptainCaveman · 01/06/2010 12:13

lol QOD at your tasty little boy, I agree, he is tasty. Tasty good looking that is

dizz i got the invite and have now joined

Off to watch the Tooth Fairy with ds1 shortly, complete with bus ride to and from town (city). He is so excited bless him.

Oh, and I now have a black eye to go with my bald spot . Less middle class chic and more chavtastic by the day!! The bruised eye is courtesy of O 'playing' at fighting with me and ds1, he landed on my eyebrow with his big heavy head!

Captain tsk tsk You need a better story than my 21 month old son beat me up.

First day back to normalcy after vacation and holiday. DH to work. I am sorting out plans for today. So many things to do and all I want to do is go back to bed.

oopsandbabycoconut · 01/06/2010 13:05

Ladies, My DD1 is out to get me reported to the Social! The midwife was here this morning and DD1 showed her the new dolly she had been given. MW asked if dolly slept in DD's bed with her last night, DD replied that 'no, I don't sleep in a bed, I sleep in a cupboard' I thought the MW was going to wet herself.

DH now back from work and we survived - DD2 slept and DD1 had snuggles whilst we read stories.

Cece - you must look fab

Hi QOD, good to see you.

Hi Crispy, Dizzy, TS.

cyteen · 01/06/2010 13:37

QoD great to hear you're feeling better - I can't imagine how debilitating it is to be so ill. Arf at S and the wolves; maybe he was Mowgli in a previous life

cece I drove to the allotment all by myself on Sunday and done some more pootling about town with DP and DS. I love driving! Going to tackle the motorway next weekend, if we get a sunny day (plan is to go a couple of junctions up the M1 for a day out in Derbyshire, hence the need for better weather).

DS asleep and I am waiting for my family to descend upon me...any ideas what I can do to entertain four creaky adults and one manic toddler on a wet Tuesday afternoon?

CrispyTheCrisp · 01/06/2010 13:47

LOTI glad the BBQ was good . Any further thoughts on how you want things to move forward with regard to 'H'?

QoD well done you on getting sorted with new tablets and that they are helping. And a big shake of teh pom poms for mamaQod coming to look after you and S

cyteen hurrah for solo driving. Is DS impressed with your new found skill? Weather this weekend is supposed to be lovely (well Sat anyway) so finger x'd for a good trip out. How about a nice game of monopoly, then you can either all snooze your way through it or end up killing each other with DS randomly redistributing property

Enjoy the film cece, i think inside a dark dry cinema is the best place to be today tbh

I have done most of the things on my to do lit (which was huge) so chuffed with that. DD1 and i off to the local town this avo to collect some photos but they have closed the main road for 6 weeks so will probably end up on a 10 mile diversion

dizz did you get a nice freebie lippy through the post? Mine is a lovely colour

TwilightSurfer · 01/06/2010 13:49

Oops that is the funniest story EVER!!!

CrispyTheCrisp · 01/06/2010 14:48

Sorry oops that one passed me by . Brilliant DD1, bet she has been plotting that one for her to deflect all the attention from DD2

GladioliBuckets · 01/06/2010 15:09

Hellooo! Am back and bitten to buggery, lungs buggered from smoking too much but as batty about DH as ever. And other B words. Actually had to take Piriton last night to stop itching long enough to sleep! Kids appear to have been fine, just took them all to see How to Tame your Dragon by myself (autism-friendly screening so no worries about them running around.) Nice fillum.

Outdoor island wedding was beautiful, reception a grand piss-up with fairylights and tealights all around. Apart from that we spent most of our time in our room or sitting in a taverna we adopted - could have been anywhere but we truly 'marked out' for the childfree experience (to use a wrestling fan term.) Just couldn't be bothered to be sociable and keep hanging out with the wedding party. I totally forgot to put on jewellery or lipstick to the wedding, am still baffled at myself. Plus my dress was shockingly more gapey than I thought so I borrowed a pretty hair clip and pegged it to my bra like a brooch instead.

Oops Can't believe I missed the birth of Miniest Oops but 27th May is my luckiest day you see, it's a good omen. Can anyone link me to a birth story if there is one yet please?

Albs Friend of mine has great success renting to foriegn language schools over summer. Some schools are more proactive than others at taking students out and I think you have to provide at least one meal most days but she does very well out of it.

cyteen · 01/06/2010 17:01

FFS

My family piss up in a brewery

GladioliBuckets · 01/06/2010 18:11

Courage, mon brave.

CaptainCaveman · 01/06/2010 18:26

ah cyteen are they still there?

welcome back buckets, glad you enjoyed it but shame about the bites. Nice to have you back

We watched an hour of the film before ds1 got bored....he found it funny but the non-funny bits (ie the story) didn't hold a 6yr olds attention for long. hey ho.

I'm off to the shop for milk,Heat and wine. Today I am feeling stressed, not sure why but pretty certain it's work related. I have someone who works for me who manages to get me goat pretty much every day by the emails she sends. The one I read today was copied into all the other managers the level below me, stating that I hadn't transferred some info or other correctly and so they should all 'triple check' the spreadsheet that was coming back to them . I've sent her a reply politely asking her to tone it down a bit, that whilst I don't mind a criticism or two I find that pointing out my mistakes to everyone wasn't too good for my ego....I didn't point out that the reason I got it wrong was because she hadn't done what I asked her to in the first place. I'll save that conversation for when I see her grrrrrrr plonk

Cyteen Please let me pass you a to draw under today. Oh and a glass of gin.....

cece outrageous. Karma will come and bite her on the bum though

buckets welcome home lovely. The tan looks fab and you can see the relaxation from here

My big news of the day is that my fuckwit wonderful employers have graciously agreed to pay me the £600 they deducted. I did have to get a bit stroppy mind

TwilightSurfer · 01/06/2010 19:02

HI! Someone remind me whose idea it was to get a pool membership. Reese was a terror the whole 36 minutes we were beside/in the pool. I will mark it down as a "getting use to things" moment. However, it wore me out. Well that and the chase through the aquarium. Hey look a fish......................>>>>the end. Geez!! Summer is so unrelaxing.

Cooking a chicken today so will pop back in a moment once it's in the oven.

Buckets glad you're back but STOP you're making me itch.

Sazzles I warned them properly to give you the money!

Captain (((hugs)))

brb

LadyGardenia · 01/06/2010 19:07

Welcome home, Glads! Sounds like a well-deserved fab time.

Cece that's really unprof of her not to mention rude and arsey. I am going to join you in a midweek glass of wine as I have had a couple of work things go awry today as well, pah! Steak and salad and a glass of red ce soir.

cyteen famblies, eh? Perhaps you would like some of my vin rouge aussi.

Sazzles excellent news! I so want you on my side for any HR dispute I end up in!! I suggest you get yourself something really nice out of the 600 smackers and put the rest into your piggy bank. Then when you get a new job / new career / new direction you will have a few quid to buy new clobber for starting it!

TwilightSurfer · 01/06/2010 19:49

hi ladygardenia cyteen i will glad sit and listen to all you need to expel regarding familia.

chicken's in the oven. load of wash going. dishwasher unloaded. kids have been treated to a field trip. i'd say my work is done for the day.
