MrsMiamla · 31/05/2010 15:57

albs when do you want me round to sort her out? I'm a big scary pregnant woman at the moment with an absolute overload of hormones!!

sorry, have only skim read. not meant to be here. meant to be getting ready for a party at one of DH's friend's houses. DS coming with us and we're meant to be leaving in 5mins. oops. but...i have made some italian biscuits to take with us (just hope they taste as good as they look! tempted not to try them before handing them over and then if they're horrible, they'll have to pretend they're not and i won't be any the wiser!)

laters my chicadillas

ps keep forgetting to ask who DH wants to play him in our film..will try and remember now...

CaptainCaveman · 31/05/2010 16:09

oooh, are we making a film? really? Can I be in it? please

Been to yawn Critch Tramway Museum today to entertain dh the boys. Some trams and shit. Nuff said

I'm becoming quite fond of my secret bald spot and find myself absent mindedly stroking it (I know, weirdo)

Albs she sounds scary . What does your dh plan to do/say?

By CrispyTheCrisp Fri 28-May-10 13:34:27
Cece, how did i forget you?

For some reason Davina is popping into my head, although she could well be a crap actress, sorry

miamla enjoy the partaaaay

alittlebitshy · 31/05/2010 17:17

mmm biscuits miamla. cece my dh has drafted a written summary of what was agreed when they moved in (some is cut and pasted from her emails when replying to our ad). basically, if they realise that room 2 is part of the package and means her dh works for the church, fine. if not, bye bye unless they can stump up for the extra rent.
she is very tall and, sounds rude, not slim, so quite a forceful figure to talk to. bear in mind i am 7 or so years older than her i still feel like a small child cos of the height thing lol (anyone who has met me will know i am 5ft 2....). we are happy to carry on as it is if we are mutually helping each other - ie we help them have a first home reasonably cheap (and their main room is biiig) if her dh (and in advance she agreed she would do youth work - her suggestion, not dh's) carries on working for the church (as he can't be paid we have cut our financial giving to the church to compensate, if that makes sense)

CaptainCaveman · 31/05/2010 18:20

albs I have the same height issues as you being only 5'3" . Praying all goes well for dh when he has that convo!

Photos on fb of random stuff, mainly the boys, if you fancy a nosey...

crispy glad to hear I had been thought of , makes me feel all warm and fuzzy
Given the hair drama, perhaps Gail Porter could play me

dizzydixies · 31/05/2010 19:10

Crispy I haven't made any today - did you need some?!

dizzydixies · 31/05/2010 19:44

TS -those cakes look fab

oopsandbabycoconut · 31/05/2010 20:02

Dizzy - Just popping on to say I made some sticky toffee and lime cupcakes today with salted caramel icing - different but delicious, do you want to test the recipe?

Visitors earlier were the best type - the popped in, coo'd over DD2, played tea parties with DD1, left them both a small gift, made me tea and left all inthe space of 30mins . My folks then arrived whilst DH and DD1 were out which gave them DD2 fussing time before they came back. DD1 was then her normal centre of attention when she got home. They brought food and drink then left us in peace for bath and bedtime.

Now off to search for food - again!

dizzydixies · 31/05/2010 20:07

oops - how the bloody hell having given birth only 4 days ago did you have time to make cupcakes?!!??

visitors sound fab

MrsMiamla · 31/05/2010 20:40

dizz a bit of fb advertising done for you girlo!

oops and yes, i agree with what dizz said...how the bloody hell have you got time to make cupcakes?!!!!
i thought i was doing well at making some biscuits to take with us to the party!!

oopsandbabycoconut · 31/05/2010 20:43

Dizz - baby in sling, DD and DH out at ILs, baking stuff in the fridge from when I planned ot bake with DD before the baby was born. I realise now how disorganised I was this time compared to DD1!

CrispyTheCrisp · 31/05/2010 20:47

oops where are your pics?

oopsandbabycoconut · 31/05/2010 20:48

CrispyTheCrisp · 31/05/2010 20:50

Oh, ok, sorry . Was looking on your FB

dizzydixies · 31/05/2010 20:52

OOps - even so still a [feck me I'm impressed emoticon]

thanks miamla - you can invite all your nice friends to join the group too at more blatant self promotion

have been trawling for a twitter background but I can't seem to find a pic of a garden gnome eating a cupcake

keep with the programme Cripsy!!

TwilightSurfer · 31/05/2010 22:42

Dizzy my wonderful aunt (who visits me often) is a member of your baking journey as is dh's cousin's wife (whom i am very close to).

dizzydixies · 31/05/2010 23:00

there are now 52 people who have joined and many more waiting to join!! its all very exciting but DH turned to me tonight and asked 'how exactly is this going to earn you money '

he has a fair point!!

LadyGardenia · 01/06/2010 07:49

He has not got a fair point, has he not read the rest of the thread? This is about your profile and you getting into the zone of going public and all-the-time-y and branded and claiming your space in front of the world. When you have done that it is a mere simple next step for people to ask you to do jobs for them / delivery a box of cakes for a party / cater a wedding / etc and a mere simple next step for you to have a full-blown online ordering system and a mere simple next step for you to bring out the book and supply shops and, and, and...!

RL weekend and work yesterday sorry I cannot keep up atm.

Cavey did you see my thing about viviscal / Jennie Bond?

Oops nice to hear your visitors are behaving! TS glad to hear you are home safe, sorry about your loud & partying neighbours.

cyteen · 01/06/2010 08:25

dizzy just point him towards Justine and Carrie MN - from humble internet beginnings do full time earners grow!

CrispyTheCrisp · 01/06/2010 08:29

Morning. I am here as DD's slept till 7.30am .

Very pleased yesterday as my neighbour managed to find us an umbrella fold double buggy for a tenner . It has seat inserts, reclines flat and has a rain cover. I can get it in MIL's tin can car too. I know we should be past the point of buggies for DD1 but she gets jealous of DD2 being sat in a buggy and then strops and throws herself on the floor. I am staying with the method of least resistance

Raining here and DD1 has a dodgy tummy so cannot go to CM. Will see what day brings.....

dizz the orders and money will come from the most unexpected place. The key is that you get confident in you, your brand and are set to go when those first tentative enquiries roll in and you can focus on the baking

CrispyTheCrisp · 01/06/2010 08:31

so to *MrDizz

CaptainCaveman · 01/06/2010 09:17

dizzy where do I join? (sorry, bit slow on the uptake me)
