miamla - this is the mother's help we employed instead of a CM, she's lovely but works about 4 jobs and is constantly shattered/got cold/needing iron tabs etc etc She's here 3 days this week instead of two as DH away and I thought I'd need more of a hand with being pg - she's only here one next week instead however so it all evened out, we're not asking her to do extra

I can't decide if I now have their cold or hayfever - fingers crossed for cold.

cyteen, sorry to hear so early again, if it helps mine also seem to have turned a corner towards 7am so hopefully J will reach the end of this phase VERY soon too

morning Crisp - enjoy toddlers

MrsMiamla · 17/05/2010 09:51

she doesn't sound like much of a help to a mother so perhaps she should change her job title!

Have you sent her outside for a run round the garden yet? It works with toddlers and dogs so why not mother's helps too?!

hotterpotter · 17/05/2010 09:53

I've been gone less than 72 hours and the thread is half full

Off to catch up, I may be some time...

MrsMiamla · 17/05/2010 10:17

hi hots

make sure you're not hungry when you read the friday night chat

oopsandbabycoconut · 17/05/2010 10:37

DD and I were heading out hours ago but I got a phone call from an old school friend and now the clouds have arrived so not sure I want to head to the beach - maybe the park will have to do. Although saying that DD is lying on the efloor with her blankie and polar, snuffling like a snotty piglet maybe we should just nap. Friend is a obs/gyne who just gave me a lesson on how to check how dialated I am - not sure I want to know TBH!

Dizzy - tell her to get a grip! Hope you don't have the dreaded hayfever!

Miamla - no kitchen table involved just the regular version but when a man looks at your fanjo and bursts out laughing it does nothing for the mood!

oopsandbabycoconut · 17/05/2010 10:38

Hi Hots - did you have a good time?

Miamla - leave the craft books alone and get on with yout work

MrsMiamla · 17/05/2010 10:44

i'm working very hard i'll have you know

hmm, i can understand how MrOops' reaction may have changed the mood some what! I'll never forget DH the night before DS was born. We'd had a medically enforced drought through most of pg but decided that it was worth a go to encourage DS out towards the end. Anyhow, we had a few nights of 'good shags' (as buckets put it so politely) and on the night before he was due, DH asked if we had to because he was too tired! This was the man who had been desperate for it for months and months!

dizzydixies · 17/05/2010 10:50

she's kicked into gear since i got sstarted
D running about in the garden in white trousers , sun still shining but clouding over a touch

Oops, when I was waiting on DD1 I told DH to get on with it - he got her in there he could bloody well try to get her out needless to say that hardly set the mood !

MrsMiamla · 17/05/2010 11:33

good good! (about A moving in the right direction...not the white trouser bit or the clouding over bit!)

dizzydixies · 17/05/2010 11:48

lol

alittlebitshy · 17/05/2010 13:08

Just caught up < phew>

qod poor you. I hope they have given you meds. i had meds with dd and although it didn;t stop the sickness it improves it a bit until it stopped at 20 weeks. with ds i avoided meds but carried on being sick until after he was born .

is dd's birthday today. How can my baby be 7?

TwilightSurfer · 17/05/2010 13:20

too much to do today to retype.

MrsMiamla · 17/05/2010 14:55

waves back at TS albs happy birthday to J!!! i can't believe its a year since her 6th birthday party!!!

i'm not here btw, i'm still working

TwilightSurfer · 17/05/2010 15:55

miamla i'm not here either. work work work

just popping by to say i've obviously lost my freaking mind. dh's car maintenance bills have me so mad that i just emailed him and told him to trade it today for http://www.chevrolet.com/tools/windowsticker/result.do?year=2010&pvc=1910&VIN=1GNUKKE33AR223910&dist ance=19.5776&region=30&zip=37379&evar18=vehlocresults_rat this. it's not a race car but it's the color he wants and has everything he could ever dream of on it. he called in a state of shock and utter excitement. he said, "oh but honey it'd be yours and i'd take your old truck...because it's smaller...this one wouldn't fit in the parking garage at work." the dealer is a few blocks from his office so who knows i might be driving a new truck to the beach on friday.

TwilightSurfer · 17/05/2010 16:04

Queenie one of my many friends posted a link today that caused me to stumble on this website called the http://www.helpher.org/ Hyperemesis Foundation.

TwilightSurfer · 17/05/2010 16:05

this is the truck.

TwilightSurfer · 17/05/2010 16:13

lunch break.
reese & i are having a bowl of chili. or rather a bowl of crackers covered with chili.lol!!! this is the first no pressure day i've had in weeks. checkbook's semi-balanced(finally) and all the dirty laundry's been washed(however not folded).

chili anyone? we have plenty.

TwilightSurfer · 17/05/2010 16:14

crap! Queenie here is the website.

MrsMiamla · 17/05/2010 16:33

oooh, i would love some chilli!! in fact, i reckon you've just decided what i'm doing for dinner tonight. thanks TS

TwilightSurfer · 17/05/2010 16:56

glad i could influence in a good way.

oopsandbabycoconut · 17/05/2010 18:50

Do you all see that big pot of fresh homemade curry on the cooker - yes the one next to the empty M&S ready meal boxes - it isn't really there as DH discovered when he got home and I have finally faded and given in to the I'm too tired to cook and I don't care who knows!

dizzydixies · 17/05/2010 18:53

you're just right Oops relax relax relax baked potatoes (4 for 27p in Asda - financial needs must [blush) here and they were lovely, I hasten to add I didn't eat all 4

oopsandbabycoconut · 17/05/2010 19:02

Dizzy I love jacket pots I just forget to put them on in enough time for them to be crispy and cooked when I want them to be!

Bed is calling for DD and bath for me.

dizzydixies · 17/05/2010 19:33

tis just as well they're popular here Oops - they're rolled out at least once a week but always received well

DD1 away to bed worried that she might hurt her lip or knee in her sleep so I've to check on her twice an hour - I have of course assured her that this will happen and all will be well in the morning [going to burn in hell emoticon]

MrsMiamla · 17/05/2010 20:18

hmmm, now if only i could combine a bit of TS's chilli with a jacket potato from dizz...getting on for a perfect dinner in my book!

well done for giving in to the ready meal fairy oops dizz why not delegating the checking to a few of us? and then that way, you haven't technically lied to her
