Can I just say, I like how this thread title works on several levels. As well as the obvious, there is the implication that we're looking at our Aug08 babies and going like clueless teenagers Plus of course, with a little extra punctuation it becomes a question that anyone with a child in nappies asks themselves at some point - 'Crap: how did that happen?' (Subtitle: and why in god's name does it stink so much?)
