Crispy - If I gave DD banana and yoghurt she would ask 'where more dinner please mummy?'

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/05/2010 22:26

Ah, the benefit of a non verbal DD

I just ordered my TENS for labour - I have hired one and it will be delivered on Tuesday - Whats the bets I go into labour on Monday night?

MrsMiamla · 16/05/2010 22:29

qod rest up and take it easy girl!

thanks for food advice. pleased to see most of you agree with me...not mentioning any names CRISPY
but actually, i did what you do anyway... gave him extra peas, then he had an apple and a rusk

so we're all correct!

diiz i used to absolutely detest fish til about 5yrs ago so completely understand where you're coming from! He does love fish fingers though so pretty sure it was the texture of the sauce he didn't like

oops i'm with you on the trying to avoid the 4am hungry wake up screams! at least with DD you don't have to play a guessing game as to what the problem actually is! we're still having to go through...offer drink? nope. offer cuddle? nope. check nappy? nope etc etc until we eventually find out its something like teddy needed a cuddle/drink

right girls, off to bed

nighty night

oopsandbabycoconut · 16/05/2010 22:33

night from me too all - sleep well

MrsMiamla · 16/05/2010 22:35

oops surely labour on monday is now a sure bet!

came back to say...any londoners/visitors fancy joining me on an elephant hunt? apparently there are lots of good ones in Green Park so as soon as funky lightweight pushchair is here, DS and I will be popping up to visit them... all welcome as always

not sure if you'll have permisison to view them but here's a link to the ele photos a friend of mine has taken so far...

MrsMiamla · 16/05/2010 22:36

really am going now, night!

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/05/2010 22:40

miamla i have a few pics of the DD;s climbing on them - will see if i can upload tomorrow to FB

Off to bed here too. Night all.xx

Oops 17 May is a great day to be born

Had a nice weekend went out for a meal on Saturday night and took DS to the zoo yesterday - it was very hot and so lots of the animals were swimming (white tigers, leopards, jaguars and orangutans) and DS loved it exclaiming - 'leopard mimming', 'angutan mimming' etc.

After all this talk of elephants (or elepants as DS calls them) DH/DS bought me one of the bronze ones from here www.johnerdos.com.sg/bronzefigures.htm for my birthday.

QoD hope you are getting lots of rest.

Crispy where food is concerned DH and I (in particular DH who will literally eat anything - he had pig organ soup last week just as an example where I would probably draw the line) are probably some of the least fussy people you could meet yet DS is very fussy at the moment. That said he had a chicken burger we bought from the butchers yesterday evening we didn't realise till later that it had fresh chilli in it but he ate it all just after each mouth full he said 'hot' and drank lots of water

MrsMiamla · 17/05/2010 06:29

crispy ooh i didn't realise they were climbable on

oooh so do we owe you a 'happy birthday' springalingalong?
you see, this is what happens when our stats queen is busy having a RL... people have to hint when their birthday's are!

Those figures are lovely! If I lived somewhere hot and had patio doors, I'd definitely get the gecko door handles!

DS has been so lovely this morning. When I first went into him, I could hear him chattering away and he'd lined up his teddies, dug a couple of extra toys out of his toy box and was sititng on his bed reading 'jack and the beanstalk' to them all

morning all

MrsMiamla · 17/05/2010 07:24

nobody else up yet?! i'll just sit and chat to myself then

got an email from pushchair seller...she's posting today! really hope there's nothing wrong with it after all this!

i'm working from home today and juggling DS at the same time

oopsandbabycoconut · 17/05/2010 08:18

I'm up and have been for ages but DD and I have been snuggling in the morning sunshine in bed watching peppa pig and chatting about all sorts of things from why Igglepiggle is blue to where DD2 will live once she arrives (apparently in our room is fine but in our bed is not!)

Beautiful day day here so we might go for a walk somewhere but where is yet a mystery.

MrsMiamla · 17/05/2010 08:31

oooh a mystery walk sounds fun. don't forget to take a fully charged mobile with you though in case Hectorina decides she wants to join you on your walk!

springaporesling · 17/05/2010 08:33

DS pottering in the garden watering the plants for me although he's now drinking out of his watering can proclaiming nice water!

GladioliBuckets · 17/05/2010 08:34

Morning all.

Oops Have you tried a good shag to get things moving yet? If too awkward, can you not just lean over the kitchen table and let him get on with it?

Speaking of which a friend gave birth on Tuesday, brought the little fella in to Crafty Coffee Club on Friday! Now there's professional.

Still not caught up...

springaporesling · 17/05/2010 08:35

I tell a lie he's now decided it's coffee

oopsandbabycoconut · 17/05/2010 08:36

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPRINGA - Hope you have had a lovely day. Watering can is better than DD proclaiming I thirsty and drinkingthe cat water

Miamla - I am sure if I go anywhere today I will have the secret police following me - DH is a tad paranoid. No baby today contractions tailed off at 4am and are never seen in daylight!

oopsandbabycoconut · 17/05/2010 08:38

GB - yes were have tried that and both ended up in fits of giggles so gave up trying.

MrsMiamla · 17/05/2010 08:42

you've already tried it over the kitchen table? i'm impressed
sorry, i know i should know but when's your actuall due date? is it this Friday?

morning mrs bouquet spring DS watered our garden yesterday...and he watered the house and the fence and the mummy and the daddy.... was great fun albeit a little cold here for it!
So does he like the taste of it still now its coffee?

MrsMiamla · 17/05/2010 08:44

i've just had an email from amazon..the subject is 'savings on selected craft books'

can somebody just delete it for me please...can't resist temptation to open it for much longer!

cyteen · 17/05/2010 08:50

DS is stalking a piece of tangerine across the floor like a cat It's things like this that make 5am starts bearable.

CrispyTheCrisp · 17/05/2010 08:54

Happy Birthday Spring. Enjoy

miamla elephants are not really climbable, well not for the littlies, they can more try and drape over/hug them

Off to playgroup here. 7.20 wake from DD1 (although didn't go to sleep until 8.30pm) and 7.45 from DD2. What has happened to my children? Has someone swapped them . Beautiful morning here so girls are playing outside whilst i MN clear up brekker
