so I can't stop fecking itching - I KNOW its all in sympathy but nonetheless

Miamla - hope all going well

Hots - hope you made the journey ok

TS - I'm going to have mine cut off after this baby so you're welcome to wait till then and I'll post them over

shite night for D and subsequently us however she has beenknockedoutwithdrugs slept for 4 hours today so I've cleaned the fridge/dishwasher/done 3 loads of washing/ got rid of some boxes/made lasagne and dusted and hoovered - am now sitting down whilst DH faffs with the car and the tree. she's now walking about naked apart from shoes, itching somewhat, shouting SPOTS a lot but am pleased to say she ate her lunch like a wee trooper [bless her heart emoticon]

nothing like a distraction to ease disappointment

seriously - STILL nothing from Slingapore?? am beginning to worry that she's lost on an island somewhere in the pacific

GladioliBuckets · 02/04/2010 17:33

Dizzy Are you nuts? Cleaning the fridge is NEVER a top priority (esp if you don't have imminent visitors), let alone when you're as knackered as you. Even hoovering and dusting can wait a few days til D is sleeping better. My fridge gets cleaned twice a year if it's lucky so don't tell me yours was so filthy it HAD to be done. Are you deliberately trying to wear yourself out as punishment because you don't have chicken pox? D won't thank you for it, you know. And being exhausted will make you feel sicker too. Having an ill child is a chance to put everything on hold and do NOTHING!

Sheesh, it amazes me how many people don't have a clue about loafing. Lecture over.

GladioliBuckets · 02/04/2010 17:33

Plus I don't want to worry but have you googled obstetric cholestasis re the itching?

dizzydixies · 02/04/2010 17:37

I had it with DD1 and its not the same thing but thank you

and when I say cleaned the fridge, I took out the shelves (all empty due to us not supposed to be being here and any that couldn't fit in the dishwasher were handed to DH to clean

loafing about now whilst DH 'makes' tea for girls - fish fingers and potato wedges dragged out of bottom of freezer lol

sambo303 · 02/04/2010 19:40

just popping on quickly to say hi, time has flown! miamla good luck for tomorrow, will pray for sunshine

off to check what you've all been up to whilst i've been away...

oh, and happy easter!

TwilightSurfer · 02/04/2010 19:42

loafing here. house is tip and i don't give a shit. dh pissed me off.[ebiscuit]

does ebiscuit even work?? we shall see.

soooooo does anyone else have a child who removes their diapers ALL THE TIME. reese keeps removing hers and it's becoming a bother really. just now i peeked in on her napping...diaper off. last night she woke up because she WET all over herself, the bed, blah blah blah blah. so now what do i do?

TwilightSurfer · 02/04/2010 19:47

okay just googled pull ups and they start in her current size. guess i'll be trying those and moving forward with potty training. joy

ataraxis · 02/04/2010 19:53

TS we had L in pull ups a few days ago (due to the fact that I bought them by accident a year ago in France ) thinking about moving her to them too.

ataraxis · 02/04/2010 19:55

Update on the icecream - turns out I should have used condensed milk rather than evaporated milk . Suffice it to say it was not an unanimous hit .

Any suggestions for future Easter holiday fun?

ataraxis · 02/04/2010 19:56

Right... about to attempt to get the boys in to bed. Time to see whether it's payback time for this morning...

right 3 down - fingers crossed. D has had a bicarb bath, DD1 had a shower and poor DD2 had a telling off and a lecture

Miamla - will be thinking of you tomorrow darling, best of luck for a wonderful day

off to spend time with DH - night all

ataraxis · 02/04/2010 20:46

I hear the pitter patter of not so tiny feet

pertelote · 02/04/2010 22:14

Well goodnight all, looking forward to seeing some of you tomorrow. Miamla I don't suppose you'll see this before the Big Event but I hope you have a good night's sleep and a wonderful relaxed morning.

To everyone I won't see: I will do my best to represent the Aug08ers! Hope you all have lovely, restful, chocolate-filled weekends.

Morning All

HAPPY WEDDING DAY MIAMLA* HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOTS

ALBS arrived safely here to have to face DD in a foul mood due to lack of napping. Hopefully I haven't killed her off with dinner and she is relaxing in bed. DD had a rough night waking at 3.30 sobbing for Papa and not being able to sleep - had he not being sharing a room with someone I would have rung him told him to tell her to go to sleep. She eventually fell asleep at 4.45 and then did that wierd startle reaction like she was falling every 20mins and dreaming loudly!

Will see some of you late and those who are not there will be missed.

oopsandbabycoconut · 03/04/2010 08:15

Morning Dizzy - thrilled you had some sleep and there are no new spots this morning. Have camera armed and loaded for today.
