Oct I think, scan on March 30th [meep]

Sazz, where are you off to??

DH was already up when the girls were sent up with the whistle so that knackered that - he's off to work now taking the two eldest with him for a visit with my friend and D is now sleeping so I am having a roast beef and tomato sandwich before tackling the ants

GladioliBuckets · 20/03/2010 11:38

I did wonder that your AF must have arrived without fanfare Dizzy. Congrats you are bonkers LOL. So does this property mean new schools?

DD had a big breakthrough at swimming this am and did a couple of metres utterly unaided. No longer bunched up and foetal but long and elegant. DS1 and my dad have gone off by bus on an Asparagus adventure to the Oceanography Institute. I'm sure DS1 will be happy as long as there's lunch and snacks involved.

dizzydixies · 20/03/2010 11:43

no, am still waiting on it to arrive

house would mean new primary but same high school - I don't want to move out of village we're in but houses here are like hens teeth
tis going to be a bit of a squeeze in here

well done on DD buckets - its lovely to watch them swimming, I went for DD1's assessment on Thurs and although she has to repeat the class she's scoring 4/5s on each element and I'm happy with that - swimming is the one thing I have no desire they rush them through in

poppy if you're on and reading this, A doesn't know and I have no intention of telling her

RedLentil · 20/03/2010 11:50

Dizzy, you could ask the agents if any other prospective buyers have had a full survey done or ask to speak to the vendors?

A full survey would bring up all that info. It looks lovely.

I'm the eldest of four girls, and it is great. I spent 30 mins on the phone to the youngest one this morning, seeing no 2 tomorrow and no 3 next week.

We lived in a three bedroom house. (Two extra bedrooms were added after we all left). It never did us any harm.

Delighted though that 4 children can't any more be crammed into the back seat of an estate car on a Coventry to Cork-length round trip.

dizzydixies · 20/03/2010 11:58

Red would love to move somewhere bigger but financially its not an option at all and sod, am going to need a bigger car - oh well at least I might get to get rid of this heap of shit that I drive now

TwilightSurfer · 20/03/2010 12:14

Dizzy you've not always been one of use who quite obviously use our threads to track their cycles(raises hand as now after 3 years it's just habit). I did remember and something you said during the week made me wonder but I dismissed it since you're not one to keep things from us for too long. I am very excited for you and will keep my thoughts that it's twins to myself. ( did i say that outloud).

BTW Property porn is interesting. I've noticed loads of converted buildings. Good bones turned into nice homes. You just don't find that here. I love the architecture available abroad.

springaporesling · 20/03/2010 12:43

Dizzy yay many congratulations! Would be cool if it was 10/10/10

TS architecture not up to much here either. On that note we have however found a new place to live much smaller condo but it is a maisonette so finally upstairs to bed and it has a small garden - very rare here but I think DS will love it and I am certainly looking forward to growing some tropical plants.

LWFH I can't believe you said you weren't good at responding to everyone's issues you have summed up perfectly how I feel about the Aug 08ers and living overseas.

This time next week will be in Leeds!

TwilightSurfer · 20/03/2010 13:56

Dizzy to show my love (and utter mortification for not clueing in to your condition sooner) I've pinpointed your creative moment. I must admit I am better at research than recalling day to day conversations.

To further check my mummy brain:

We have 3 snips, 1 birth, 3 pregnant, 2 actively throwing caution to the wind ttc. Right?

dizzydixies · 20/03/2010 14:13

you're freaking me out now TS!!!

GladioliBuckets · 20/03/2010 14:43

TS Funnily enough if I never get my own derelict Victorian (half) mansion like my friend's, the dream will always be to build a kit house in a New England clapperboard style. With wraparound Waltons porch (I was named after the mom,) roofwalk and spooky attic rooms.

Dizzy Oh this is going to be such fun living the 4 child life vicariously through you. You'll have to get a Toyota Previa import now just to please me.

dizzydixies · 20/03/2010 14:49

good grief buckets you were named after the mum and I've spent my entire life being accused of being one due to my sodding name
am glad to have amused you lol

luckoftheirish · 20/03/2010 15:53

lol ts you are one on the ball girl..

ladies i am beyond shattered.. just taken the dds swimming and to sainso.. this is after dh waking up at 9.45am and leaving to play football at 12... dd2 being a cheeky monkey and no nap so is a massive pita... now have to do tea, bathtime, make dh's tea and then get the girls down...

this late af is also proving a nightmare so heavy and crampy... NEED A HOLIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

poppysocks · 20/03/2010 17:04

Ok, so haven't read the rest of the thread so am sure I've missed lots, but had to just post a whole line of yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay yay(is the a whole line yet?) for your news dizzy. Many congratulations! Actually saw A earlier today for the first time since she started with you. Of course I will not say a word. But yay!

poppysocks · 20/03/2010 17:29

Been back and caught up....

lwfh - that was the loveliest drunk actually pretty coherent ramble. I have been in awe of how well you seem to have got used to having two under two and all without your family and friends around.

Poor you loti and grrr on your behalf. Do you need to have another word? And/or do have a friend that you can call up and demand a drunken night with so that DH can pick up the pieces tomorrow am?

So pleased the family TS is now lurgy free.

Have a fab weekend sazzles. and

Your new place sounds great spring.

Best go off and get some food sorted for the DDs. DH out on his bike after I had a lie-in this am and then went straight out walking with my friend. Managed nearly 20 miles! Her ipod told us that we were burning about 100 calories per mile, which I don't quite believe but will use to give me full licence to stuff myself when DH and I go out tonight. Can't wait. England-France rugby in a pub AND meal out. Ikea trip tomorrow but hey, can't have it all.

dizzydixies · 20/03/2010 18:32

feck am in a bad enough mood already with DH without sodding Ireland winning at the last minute - they'd bloody better not there could be divorce on the cards

thanks poppy - tbh am in shock, it wasn't planned, it hasn't sunk in and admitting it on here has freaked me out slightly its my 5th pregnancy, you think I'd know by now

cyteen · 20/03/2010 18:32

loti sympathies on the naplessness. DS refused again today...nightmare. And it's been pissing it down all day so no chance of wearing him out at the park. Ah well, DP is on bath and bed duty tonight

dizzydixies · 20/03/2010 18:34

re wine cyteen - could do with a vat here myself - the two older two have returned shattered and D is desperate for bed however I cannot face putting them down this early and being up at 5am again
