Bloody arses. Bloody bloody arses.

ButterPie · 08/03/2010 07:41

What's up Pav?

ButterPie · 08/03/2010 07:48

Money not in? Bloody banks.

scarlotti · 08/03/2010 07:52

Rats, pav, presume that means they've not put the money across we will miss you today if that means you can't come.

Brood, Ninja am leaving here around 9am so will do a quick check of fb and mn before I leave (addicted, moi?!) but you have my mobile on fb if there are any problems. I'll be going to Ikea anyway for a stop and some lunch - if nobody manages to make it then you'll all just make me walk around the store and spend lots of money

wook hope inspiration strikes for the application today

Right, off to get everyone up and dressed. I have so many bags and stuff for this trip and we're only going for 4 days!!

PavlovtheCat · 08/03/2010 08:00

I am so sorry scarlotti, ninja and brood I am really and really upset.

PavlovtheCat · 08/03/2010 08:12

I just spoke to mortgage company. They said that it is being processed. It will be in my account tomorrow. tomorrow! They told me today at the latest. She said 'we have a target date of 9th' wtf? why did they not bloody tell me that on the phone last week instead of 3-5 working days? Then i would not have spent the money i had paying another bill! stupid arses.

Well, at least we can breathe, even if I cannot come to bristol.

PavlovtheCat · 08/03/2010 08:16

I am coming! I am coming! I am coming! DH is clever.

DD is at nursery. He phoned his bessy mate and said that I was meant to be going to bristol but money not in account til tomorrow could we borrow some cash til the morning. And he said 'and then while everyone is out, I can come over and hang out, maybe we can x-box for the afternoon?' of course his friend said 'sure that's a good idea'

Shame I won't have enough to buy a ton of stuff from ikea though

PavlovtheCat · 08/03/2010 08:18

So my nice chilled morning of leisurely getting ready and toddling off at a respectable hour, stopping for coffee, pottering around Ikea has turned into "EVERYONE GET READY!' so i best jump in the shower!

So, 1pm in Ikea, I have Scarlotti's mobile number in case of emergencies/lateness.

PavlovtheCat · 08/03/2010 08:27

I am such a dead head (as DH said!) I for some reason had it that there were 3 hours between 9am and 1pm. But there are 4. So, i can stop rushing .

Well i guess it would not be a proper meetup without a pavlov drama in the mix eh .

Sorry ladies for my million posts. Hope all is well with everyone. Rueben still has lots of mucous and a rattly chest, but is a happy thing with it he has the most delightful giggle going on, i agree with everyone else who said ti should be bottled.

ButterPie · 08/03/2010 08:31

TOK · 08/03/2010 08:40

Soooo jealous of your meet up ladies! Hope you all have a wonderful time. Obviously it just won't be the same without the rest of us but I'm sure you'll cope!

Pav your posts have made me laugh, it sounds like every attempt at going out in this house!

Fruitpastels · 08/03/2010 08:43

Have a lovely time ladies! Pav good news the money is getting sorted out and you can join the meet-up.

Scarlotti Glad the weaning is off to a good start! I've ordered a BLW book last night. Can't wait to read it. The reviews on Amazon are very good. Regarding being afraid of the dark, we have the torch night light as well. I leave his bedroom door open with the landing light left on. I think part of the problem is DH being away and DS really misses him. They are very close, more so now the baby is here.

Buggy board would have been a good idea. But he weighs 18kg (nearly 3 stone!). It's all in his bones as their isn't an inch of fat on him! Starting the star chart again today. I'm hoping taking this approach will improve things. He was a good boy yesterday, we seem to have theses blips every few days.

Wook Hope you have a good run. Well done on the weight loss

Ninjacat · 08/03/2010 08:52

I'll be there

PavlovtheCat · 08/03/2010 08:53

TOK it is a shame. I think we should definitely think about an entire thread meetup this year, in the summer. Somewhere in the middle. Those of us with cars can pick up those without cars on route.

scarlotti · 08/03/2010 09:03

Hooray Pav

Another blue arsed fly here ... should be loading up the car now... Ioan now asleep so trying to give DS1 toast and pack the car whilst baby is asleep. Feeding then off ... and relax ... soon!!

Fruit your elecrticity bill sounds like it gets the same hammering as ours

lemontop · 08/03/2010 09:47

Morning all. Enjoy your meetup ladies! I might be hitting Croydon Ikea today to get a highchair and stuff. I'm sure you'll all have much more fun.

I've spent the last few days having really bad allergic reactions and looking swollen, blotchy and itching like mad. I'm sure it must be the sunflower seed oil from the baby massage course but even though I've thrown it away it must've come into contact with other stuff. Every time I pick up Isaac, his jacket, his bottles, my keys etc I break out in a rash. Am currently in the process of disinfecting everything just in case!

Fruitpastels · 08/03/2010 11:01

lemon Sorry you've not felt too good. Sounds terrible. Not heard of sunflower seed oil before, when I attended baby massage we were told to bring sunflower oil. You haven't been on antibiotics lately? My friend had the same symptoms as you and it turned out to be the medication. Piriton is good to take. I love Ikea in Croydon! Happy shopping!

Fruitpastels · 08/03/2010 11:04

When will the hair loss ever end??!!

ursigurke · 08/03/2010 11:41

Enjoy the Ikea meet up! pav, your posts very very entertaining, at least now that there has been a happy ending
lemontop, strange to hear that you are getting an allergy from that oil, but I guess all things can provoque allergic reactions. For future massages: we use Sweet Almond Oil which you should get in pharmacies. That should be quite save as it is used in many creams.
wook, I hope running club was fine! I'm sure there were others not dressed in this years latest running fashion.

Paula got her third lot of jabs and I have noticed that I have more and more problems to hear her crying. It wasn't too bad though as even if she screamed louder than last time she stopped soon.

Fruitpastels · 08/03/2010 12:29

Ursi We have the third set of jabs tomorrow. I know it will really upset me, especially as it's 3 injections this time. At least that's it for a while, until they turn one. He's normally a happy chappie and hardly ever cries, so a shock to my ears when he does. He has this bottom lip look and it breaks my heart when he does that!

wook · 08/03/2010 12:49

Wow, running with other people makes it far, far easier and more fun ! Two of the other runners were in ds's class so I was not the only one waggling a lycra clad bottom though mine was certainly the biggest!! We did 7 mins running, then 2 walking three times and got all the way up the road and round the big park, couldn't believe it, that's about 3k! Maybe I'll get to run the marathon for the miscarriage association as soon as next year, I've wanted to do that for ages.

But why is it that any lbs I lose always come off my boobs?! Never my thighs!!

Hedy not napping today, she is on nap strike, so I guess I'll be able to sit down and write the application at, hmmm, about 10pm tonight, once ds is asleep and dh and I have got Hedy down, and Glee has finished!!

Fruitpastels I can't believe the amount of hair I am shedding either!

Meet up It's 12.38 here- so you'll be meeting any minute now

hobnob57 · 08/03/2010 12:50

Last week's fashion of nice 2-hour naps in the daytime have given way to no sleep ever, and complaining about a bloated tummy all the time. Just can't win.

BBL I'm looking into cranial osteopathy too, but it's so darned expensive! I was quoted £50 for 1st appointment . How was Toby's appointment? Did they say that was enough or did they recommend you come back? I've read anecdotal stuff about forceps deliveries and migraines so I reckon spending some cash on potential quackery might be worth it if it does in fact have an effect which could prevent a lifetime of woes whilst their skulls are still malleable. Hmmm. I'm a scientist by nature so I'm not sure I'm convincing myself here...

I'm wincing on behalf of all those facing jabs again this week. It's just no fun.

lemon that's an awful reaction to a random thing. We've been advised to use grapeseed oil by the HV's for massage and cradle cap. I think it tends to discourage yeast a bit better, but not sure at all about its allergenicity. Have I just made up a word?! I use it in cooking now as well. Piriton should sort you.

I wonder how the meet-up is going? And were there any knitted boobs in evidence?

hobnob57 · 08/03/2010 12:55

wook I'm in awe of your running. I was tempted by brood's tips, but have thought of all kinds of reasons why I can't do it: DH is too stressed to look after Isla in the evenings when she's in her scream-fest state, I don't have a supportive enough bra, my trainers are 12 years old and I couldn't justify getting new ones in case I don't keep it up (can't see me managing it when I get back to work and need to do tea, bath, bed, shower, marking, collapse into bed of an evening). Yada yada yada. How do you manage to lead such a full and busy life with 2DCs?

hobnob57 · 08/03/2010 13:23

I'm about to put all the newborn and 0-3 clothes back up in the loft, along with the baby bath. Anyone else refusing to believe there will not be another?

hobnob57 · 08/03/2010 14:26

Where is everyone? I forgot - having fun in IKEA!

Well, 2 DDs asleep and I can't do anything on my list without accidentally waking them up, so I'm having a quiet MN with a cup of tea.

Has anyone out there got an eye for interior design? If we don't choose colour(s) quickly for our extension I'm going to go nuts because I feel we can't move in properly until it's all been painted! Because we're effectively doing 2 conjoined rooms, my brain can't seem to take it. Staring at colour cards doesn't seem to work. If I work out how to put pics on my profile, would anyone be prepared to help?
