Jenwa - Hello! How are you? How are the dds? You've had lots going on lately..... I will say this about the mooncup, once it's in place, it's fabulous. Alas mine seems to get too wedged.

CSWS - There is no way on earth I would put M in a bed yet. Did D escape from his cot? I might consider it if M escaped from the cot, but otherwise she's staying in her cot for as long as possible! DS went into a bed at 2.5 years so wasn't a problem at all so alas, I cannot help.

Star - I agree with Pistachio. Q won't see anything wrong with the way DH treats you because it's his normality.

HMM - Eat some fibre woman! Which do you prefer: whole wheat pasta or constipation? Eating more fruit and vegetables or taking more laxatives & ending up with a dodgy bowel? Hmmmm? Young lady?! You'll get used to the taste of wholewheat pasta. It took DH a long time to adjust to eating whole wheat bread but no he prefers it to white. It is worth the effort.

The is the last thing I will say about the Mooncup as I imagine Star is about ready to keel over. I have no idea why I am having such problems. I think that I must have a trim and youthful vagina & maybe needed the small size.

That sounds tough CSWS. Also, it's so annoying when men are think they're right isn't it.

I've just been going through my tesco booklet to see what nice things we could get with all the vouchers we've collected. I was pointing out that we could get a flight to Paris, or a stay in a hotel. DP wants to spend them on a MOT/Service for the car! How bloody uninspiring can you get!

I know what you mean about teaching Star. I've spent far too long writing reports that, frustratingly, I know loads of the parents won't be able to read. And now I'm way behind on everything else!

RachieW · 28/02/2010 21:26

Hello just place marking. Being a teacher is pants, I am now writing notes for parent's evening and for my progress meeting with the Head. All very valid and important things but I'm tired and I want to chat on here or watch tv. Will catch up tomorrow night I hope

I just realised I cross posted with you there pistachio! Oh and Ekka!

Ekka - I LOVE that bed. DH has agreed to get this for DS..... at some point.

Pistachio - I don't think anyone could claim you need anymore fibre. Your diet is very healthy and balanced!

50ftQueenie · 28/02/2010 21:41

Oh and how typical. The only trim youthful part of me is not something I really want to show off during a trip out to Sainsburys.

Honeymoonmummy · 28/02/2010 21:46

Ha ha ha! What are you ladies trying to do to poor Star with the mooncup stories?!? It's putting me off trying one, never mind Star!!

Aubergenie, are you TTC??? How exciting if you are! You never know, we might end up in the same group again if I get my act together soon!!

I bought this double bed online for our new tent today, DH doesn't know yet . Plus we went to a camping shop and got a fridge, a child air mattress with raised edges (smaller than travel cot in boot), an all-in-one waterproof and camping chair for Poppy and some other boring bits.

I do eat wholewheat rice BTW, and bread. I just dont like wholewheat pasta. Had brown rice, salmon and sweetcorn for my tea. An odd combo, I know, but it was quite nice. Is white pasta bad for constipation then, cos I eat soooo much of it.

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/02/2010 21:47

Ekka - tell him that you want this one, and then he might see the other as being more reasonable .

No, ds wasn't trying to escape from his cot, but I was starting to struggle to put him down with the mattress so low and my bump expanding, and I thought that it would be easier to get him used to it before our holiday in April and the new baby's arrival. I figure that once he's had a few days to get used to it he will probably be ok. Dd was under 2 when we moved her, as she fell off the top of the cot, and ds is an even stronger climber than she was, so it prob wouldn't be long before he started attempting it. He went off a minute or two after my last post.

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/02/2010 21:51

I had salmon for my tea too hmm. But I had mine with broccoli, peas, asparagus and baby new pots.
And lunch was lots of lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes with caesar dressing and some ham and coleslaw.

Honeymoonmummy · 28/02/2010 21:53

[Bleugh]

Oh forgot to say, my back and knee has been aching today, hope it's not because AD dose is going down, dont want to go back to those days again...

I'm off to bed anyway, I'm knackered! Night all!! [logs off still chuckling about mooncup stories]

Honeymoonmummy · 28/02/2010 21:56

Oh also forgot to say, I think I'm gonna carry on with the BF for now. I enjoy it and Pops enjoys it so why not? Thanks for the advice folks.

Ah yes of course CSWS! The expanding bump would make bending over a cot tricky. I want this for DS.

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 28/02/2010 22:06

Am def getting bigger pistachio. I have finally had to stop wearing my normal jeans. I'm more just 'bigger' than 'bumpy' though, which is how I was with the other 2 too.

Is that a RL friend who lives near you pistachio? I think that there are a few scots on the thread, but I'll pay more attention to remember exactly who and where next time!

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/02/2010 22:07

at that bed 50ft!

I don't think DS was that keen CSWS. I do love that bed but there is a crow's nest but that goes above and that is FABULOUS! Can't find a picture of that.

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 01/03/2010 02:39

50mins so far and dh hasn't managed to escape ds' room yet ...

50ftQueenie · 01/03/2010 08:31

Eeek CSWS. Sounds like a rough night.

Pistachio - I said I want that bed for DS, we won't be getting that bed unless we win the lottery (or actually sell the apartment in Spain).

OP posts:
StarExpat · 01/03/2010 08:44

see that's why I'm considering keeping Q in a cot until he's 12. I know as soon as we leave the room, he'll hop out, run to and open the door!! And I can't be bothered to let him think one of us is going to fall asleep next to him every night

lol pistachio. I was thinking the same. Q's cot turns into a toddler bed and after that I was thinking of finding something second hand and in good condition still but buying a new mattress. The cotbed was given to us, too by some Americans returning home and their 6 year old DD had just barely outgrown the toddler bed!! I'm hoping it lasts that long for Q! It is a bit bigger than typical so perhaps it will

I hope D managed to settle in the end, csws.

Q has the SAME symptoms that he had for the last two bouts of tonsillitis. wtf?
I almost want antibiotics in advance. is that horrible? I don't like the thought of him having them so much but I KNOW what's coming next... I have predicted every symptom so far and the cough is just getting worse and worse. ugh!

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/03/2010 09:11

Is he taking the whole course of antibiotics each time star? It sounds like he's not really clearing the infection as they are so close together.

D ended up in with dh, so is now knackered, as are we all, as it meant that he got up too early as well as going to bed late and being awake for over an hour in the middle.

StarExpat · 01/03/2010 09:30

yes, he is taking the whole course. 1st one was 10 days long. 2nd one was 7 days long.

I hope D takes a nice long nap for you, today csws. Sounds like an awful night.

Q was up screaming his fair share last night every couple of hours not sure why. Probably those molars. Probably also not making his throat feel any better.

50ftQueenie · 01/03/2010 09:36

M has just removed a packet of desiccated coconut from the cupboard and was munching her way through it looking very pleased with herself. It looks like it's snowed in our kitchen.

Star - Poor Q. I got recurrent tonsillitis when I was a teenager, every two weeks, and it was horrible. Are you still with the crap GP?

OP posts:
StarExpat · 01/03/2010 09:47

I'm trying to switch. It's not such a quick and easy process as it turns out.
