You didn't get it wrong unless you didn't mean to be complimentary!

Glad you had a good night out, myjob

Ronshar did you end up emailing your mil?

I think I may have gained 4lbs over the past month... does that count?

50ftQueenie · 27/02/2010 10:17

Maybe Hmm has donated those 4lbs to you Star!

Hmm - I am much fatter than you so am BOUND to lose weight faster. Plus you must have nearly lost 3 stone by now much is amazing! Pistachio is probably more knowledgeable than I so listen to her advice. Plus, what did I ALWAYS say when our babies were constipated....? Apricots! Try dried apricots, prunes and other vile delicious dried fruit. And definitely look at the books I gave you, the Jane Clarke one is probably easier to navigate. Failing that I always find that loads of vodka cleans me out. Oh and that is partly why I love Johnny Depp so much, he's not scared of being ugly. Can't imagine Brad "oh aren't I beautiful" Pitt doing anything like that.

Myjob - Glad you had a good evening out. How was your lovely DH's new menu? Bet it was scrummy.

I am now officially in the Mooncup gang! Please say it gets easier to remove!

Pistachio - Martha has done one solid poo in her life, just the one. All of her poos are soft, sticky and very difficult to dispose of. I was starting to worry a little while ago but now I have given up. Dairy definitely has a negative impact as it seems to prevent her from digesting ANYTHING and it all come back out looking the same as it did when it went in. But normally it is just very soft. When she was ill she had lots of mucus in it but I guess that was from swallowing lots of snot and not eating much which meant that the mucus was more conspicuous. It's a good job I love my cloth nappies so much otherwise I would have been defeated by the poo!

To add to all the food advice hmm, don't forget to drink plenty of water, and not too much caffeine - is essential to keep the bowel working properly.

Ds used to do pretty solids poos, but since Christmas time they have been liquidy mush. I don't know whether that's due to dairy re-introduction (to me and/or him), another allergy, teething and/or constant colds, or his insistence on having an innocent smoothie every day. We may never know, but I do hope that they firm up again soon.

ronshar · 27/02/2010 14:47

Mushy poo house here too. DD's were exactly the same. Cloth nappies & runny poo not a good mix.

Myjob if you could just box up some goats cheese tart and some of the Canelloni, that will be our dinner sorted. Oh and some of both puds please.
Great you had a good night out. You def need a few more of those.

I am out tonight but only for a few hours. Adult company so I dont care for how long.

CSWS I forgot about the water. Doh.

I bet you looked fabulous.

50ftQueenie · 27/02/2010 16:19

I bet you did too Myjob.

DH survived his walk round the lake dressed as a woman for the NCT. Although nobody sponsored him I will put photos up on FB later.

Sorry, I meant nobody on FB sponsored him. His work mates have given him about £100 so all is not lost! I have decided to hold the photos to ransom on FB, though I bet nobody is actually that bothered! He looked like his sister, only with a beard. Hee hee hee!

Honeymoonmummy · 27/02/2010 20:00

HI all, gotta be quick. I eat porridge with fruit most mornings for breakfast, sometimes bran flakes. Sandwich (usually tuna or prawn) for lunch and carrot sticks and houmous for lunch and pasta with fish, chicken or quorn for tea. I never eat eggs or cheese, I drink diet 7up all the time which is practically water and caffeine free... I could definitely eat more fruit and veg but I'm certainly not that unhealthy...am I???? Should I be constipated with this diet??? (Oh forgot a glass of wine a night!!)

I like that Johnny Depp doesnt try too hard with his looks but he really looked a mess last night. Brad Pitt seems to be trying the ugly look at the moment with that horrendous pubic wig beard.

Honeymoonmummy · 27/02/2010 20:05

Oh forgot to say, I do eat quite a lot of low fat breakfast bars/ weightwatchers choc treats too!!!

Am about to BF Pops, should I leave it until 2 years? Will I regret stopping?? Thoughts please!

StarExpat · 27/02/2010 20:12

mmmm johnny depp.

I almost threw up on my laptop at the mooncup comment.

Yummy new menu myjob! That sounds fab!

Runny or sticky mushy poos here, too. He'll on ocassion have a solid poo but it's very very rare. I always take out many wipes before even unvelcroing the nappy. I would not cope with cloth. Very well done to those of you who do!

HMM I stopped bf just after a year and found it easy to wean him. I did "don't offer/don't refuse" you probably heard me babbling on about it before.
If he would have wanted it, I would have given it to him, but after me not offering for several nights he didn't ask anymore. It didn't take long. I heard it can be more difficult to wean them as they get older but I have no experience with that. I loved bf (eventually - not at first!) but felt very selfishly so happy to have my breasts back. I know that sounds soooo awful!! But I was relieved and he did sleep better after weaning, too.

You are seriously lacking in fruit and veg there hmm! I am not at all surprised that you are constipated! I trust that the bread and the pasta are both wholewheat? Def add a couple of portions of veg to your dinner, a dried fruit snack, and if that still doesn't have you going regularly after a couple of weeks then have a glass of juice a day too.
