Sorry you're stressed VG. I don't know anything about your kitchen tiles or much about your work but I do know that you are beautiful, a fantastic mother, and a wise and kind friend to all of us - not a bad tally IMO, but I'm sure two mornings will help as well. Hope the interview goes well.

Sazzles know what you mean about sudden influx at playgroup! I think everyone's NY resolution was to get out more. It's one thing I think myself at times, actually, DD doesn't 'socialise' quite as much as I'd like. I try to take her to playgroup etc Thurs and Fri but 2 days out of 7 isn't much, is it? Oh dear, there are so many things to beat oneself up about aren't there...

GladioliBuckets · 01/02/2010 16:21

Ah VG but I'll bet she doesn't know how to have as much fun as you. I got big compliments on my houseful of crap eclectic bohemian homely home from one of the mums who came to DS1's party and also at how much more fun it was not having party games. She says she is going to take a leaf form my book and stop worrying about things like showhome decor and children's activities. My work here is done.

we still have to secure all the funding [meep] the ones who were meant to come back to us before the New Year still haven't - will have to call them again tomorrow

fingers crossed for the ramping up though - even though the PITA Chair arrives home from Oz on the 8th and we were hoping to have it all sewn up before he came back

VG how did the meet/chat/interview go

oopsandbabycoconut · 01/02/2010 20:01

YAY DIZZY - all that hard work is finally coming to fruition. I will have to plan a trip to Bonnie Scotland for cupcakes now!!

I have discovered that it is not the time of day that DD sleeps that make the difference but how long she sleeps for! forthe last week or so she hasslept for no more than an our to 1.5 hours and has slept 7.30 to 7 but yesterday DH let her sleep for 2 and a bit hours and we were up with a jolly MORNING Mama at 5.40! Atleast she hasn't realised she can climb out of bed yet!

VG - would your boys or dogs (and DP of course) be happy in a pristine house where they are not allowed to touch/do anything? More than likely not! Buckets speaks sense.

Hi everyone else

cyteen · 01/02/2010 20:42

Wotcha. Just popping on to say VG I bought the green stars dress in the end Had fab weekend with best mate, lovely day dress shopping with her and SIL (dress bought in first hour, spent afternoon in pub), then bizarrely/hilariously shit night out which was the cause of much cackling. Am a bit at best friend's man who was somewhat of a twat all weekend - misgivings remain, but we'll see. Otherwise all well DP had fantastic bonding weekend with DS who was apparently the soul of cute and charmed his grandparents all over again. I was assured that he was missing me terribly, gazing sadly at my photo etc. but as soon as I arrived on Sunday he gave me the cold shoulder and made a show of climbing all over Daddy But I don't care, we're friends again now

Have read and enjoyed all, particularly Red's boxed daughter and dizzy's DD2. I must agree with hots dizzy, your L really is the queen of all things I was walking along the other day and suddenly started pmsl as a mental image of her tapping her lips in demand for a kiss, then saying 'that's enough now', just popped up for no reason

dizzydixies · 01/02/2010 20:49

oh how lovely cyteen, is that for the wedding or just as a treat?!

L is hysterical, she has such character

cyteen · 01/02/2010 20:50

For the wedding I also bought a dark green satin version cos it was in the sale and I couldn't choose

Need to hunt out a green petticoat now. Nowhere does them!

TwilightSurfer · 01/02/2010 21:27

Sambo 7/8 weeks ago??? Not AT 7/8 weeks, right?

TwilightSurfer · 01/02/2010 21:35

VG I've purchased the new face cream and I've re-grouted tiles. Life's no better here than before. Same old me. I do completely understand the thoughts about the greener grass. I have an acquaintance whom represents that to me. We are the same age. I look at her and all she has and how awesome she looks and wonder WTH! Why don't I have the same.
