Once more with feeling

noooo, i thought we'd settled it with the zoo idea! but that looks good too!!

at the moment, the plan at the zoo is to have a murder mystery dinner thing (without the murder bit so we'd have a mystery like something's gone missing instead of killing someone off!) with a bbq

I can recommend The Bear Hotel in Crickhowell as a lovely place to stay/eat/celebrate - we spent MIL's 60th there and had a great time. There was also a wedding featured in a recent issue of Perfect Wedding mag that had the reception there and they totally bigged it up

Miamla - I love the zoo idea!

I am not here I am doing puzzles with DD who has run off to try and feed the cat plastic cheese!

Miamla · 14/01/2010 18:33

oh no!!! there's been more good ideas since i was last here!!! keep them coming though

vg possibly! but they sent us a photo of the terrace and DP reckons the wall needs painting and it looks a bit shabby! apparently the photo was taken a year ago so its either even more shabby now or recently painted! DP wants to go there to see it

oopsandbabycoconut · 14/01/2010 18:35

OOh a zoo meet up - you guys can look around and I can amuse T for you

Miamla · 14/01/2010 18:41

hi oops didn't see you there behind that puzzle piece!

Miamla · 14/01/2010 18:42

we may well hold you to that Mrs!!

Miamla · 14/01/2010 18:43

i've had a peak on the aug10 thread and its so sad. So many have had first scans to find no heartbeat. I'm really scared....

hotterpotter · 14/01/2010 18:46

Oh Miamla darling, try not to think about it, relax and try to enjoy your early pregnancy. Take comfort in your morning sickness and the time will quickly pass until scan time. Are you booked in yet?

Miamla · 14/01/2010 18:51

i know, i know. its a good sign i'm feeling sick and have gone off things etc. At this point last time i'd had two lots of bleeding so had a scan at 8 weeks

no, not booked in yet.earliest i could get an appt for GP was next thursday (i'll be 8.5 by then so hope mw gets her wotsit into gear quickly)

Miamla · 14/01/2010 18:51

partly why i'm focusing on the wedding plans...trying to keep mind occupied on positive things

oopsandbabycoconut · 14/01/2010 18:59

Miamla - That is why I stayed well away. I felt if I posted/looked I would jinx it. Stupid I know but we all know there is nothing anyone can do about what happens. Once you are booked in it won't be long until your scan. Now back to weddings.......

hotterpotter · 14/01/2010 19:01

I had a missed miscarriage before I got pg with DS and it was utterly heartbreaking but with hindsight perhaps I might have had an idea if I knew such rotten things happened. I was really ill with a bad cold and nasty fever. I didn't really feel pregnant any more but thought it was just because I was feeling so rough that he pg feeling couldn't get through IYSWIM. It wasn't but hey I have got DS instead now

You keep feeling sick lass and your scan date will be here before you know it

oopsandbabycoconut · 14/01/2010 19:02

At this stage sickness is your friend!

home from work, off to meeting

at least you're on my list for later - don't be making ANY decisions without me

alittlebitshy · 14/01/2010 19:31

weddings. ooh. so many exciting ideas!

Yes, i agree that sickness is your friend . Both the early m/cs i had pre ds had no hint of sickness, and as i have said many time there was ever so slightly more of a hint of it with ds. so i think all is good miamla.

GladioliBuckets · 14/01/2010 19:47

I am totally up for a Bristol meetup at half term! (w/c 15th Feb for those who don't yet have the dates etched on their hearts.) Although picnics on the greens look unlikely at this time of year.

There is a v nice but shabby inside 3 bed house up for sale in our road at bargainous price. Just mentioned it to DH and he suggested we sell up and downsize. This has rather broken my heart because it shows how much pressure he is feeling. However, before he left I pointed out he would lose his music room and having done most of the DIY on this house for us it would be a bit rude to expect my dad to build him a log cabin in the garden. Has taken 3yrs to get this house up to scratch and 'working' well for us.
Feeling a bit shit and worthless today anyway but Kurt has been delightful. Seems like a light has switched on this week and he is really concentrating on language, playing in a different, more noisy style and just being more characterful really.

hotterpotter · 14/01/2010 19:59

Buckets that is almost exactly the house I want for almost exactly the amount of money I will probably have to spend, shame it is several hundred miles too far away from my work

GladioliBuckets · 14/01/2010 20:05

Tis a great house indeed, would be v happy with it but I think the money we would make by downsizing would not counteract the work and hassle involved. As I say we just did that here so he should sit back and enjoy our results, not sell it on and start over. Plus it took us 3yrs because I was at home to 'project manage' everything on a v tight budget. Somebody buy it!

hotterpotter · 14/01/2010 20:10

Absolutely looks like a project house, and I utterly understand why you would be loath to go through all that again esp as you would prob just end up spending most of the profit on double glazing and new cupboards, after having just put in a new kitchen! Stand firm with your talk of music rooms...

Miamla · 14/01/2010 20:20

thank you all, especially for the Irish blessing
seriously, what do people do without the support of such lovely ladies?

CaptainCaveman · 14/01/2010 21:25

oi oi oi, don't start making wedding plans without me

miamla time will pass v quickly til your scan especially with your wedding plans and T to keep you occupied! My friend just had her 12 week scan and all well. She has no symptoms at all, apart from a cold she can't get rid of.

How about the M4 for your wedding? Goes from London to Wales!! Hear they have some nice services....
