Sleep makes all the difference doesn't it Ginge where in Scotland are your boys going to? I personally think the final years at school in Scotland are much kinder on the child, A Level stress and the pressure to get grades for Uni is so intense in England.

Lilyloo · 29/03/2010 14:33

Rubi is back home and is much better thanks! I have been vomiting all weekend But feel much better today , not sure if its all the stress or what!!
My sis friend has taken her out today so have had day at home , much needed!
Although busy packing as we go to Oz on Sat!! It just seems to have come round. Never needed a holiday so badly. Dcs finish school Wed so need to be finished by then!!

Off to catch up x

LaTrucha · 29/03/2010 15:00

Good to know Lily. I hope you get some rest. You;ve had an awful time.

gingeme · 29/03/2010 15:05

Happy holidays Lillyloo. So glad your niece is better
I think I spoke too soon about my strategy all went a bit pear shape last night again onward and upward as they say.
They are moving to Port Gordon, Banffshire. Yes they loved the school they went to and its the same one they will be returning to.

simpson · 29/03/2010 18:50

lilyloo - so glad to hear Rubi is on the mend

Very of trip to Oz.

Gingeme - Grrr on the bedtime, hope it goes better tonight

Was kept up in the night with crippling tummy pains and feeling sick and just as I managed to get off to sleep DD decided to have a little party in her room

So very tired today and feeling a bit delicate.

Good news is my mum is having kids on friday night so I can go out and she has offered to have them sat night too

Am also thinking of getting a kitten as next door think their cat is expecting ,tell me I am mad please!!!

willsurvivethis · 29/03/2010 21:38

Hi all not up to posting much sorry

Glad to hear Rubi better and Lily you deserve a fab time in Oz x

mixedmamameansbusiness · 30/03/2010 10:37

Just catching up ladeis.

LaTrucha · 30/03/2010 14:06

Very pleased Rubi is on the mend. ANd you, Lilyloo?

Mixedmama - could you put into a few words how you've managed to turn around your inlaw situation. It's really impressive and a lady on my antenatal thread is seriously struggling with hers!

Third trimester begins today! I actually feel alright today, though had dizzy spells yesterday. Am getting some Spatone in case it's anaemia. I don;t think there's much to do if it is low blood pressure. Oh well.

willsurvivethis · 30/03/2010 17:04

Bad day just got better - been succesful in one of the jobs I applied for!!They just rang and said they've appointed two people but I was the definite No1 choice. Problem is the funding it depends on has not yet been agreed as the Legal Aid Board is in a mess and the decisions on funding nationwide are delayed so they cannot make me a firm offer yet. They are happy for me to work part time though, and have said if they can only get partial funding for expansion they will offer me rather than the other person

LaTrucha · 30/03/2010 17:47

CONGRATULATIONS! (Which one was it: less stress or more interest? )

willsurvivethis · 30/03/2010 18:07

LaT the very much less stressful one - junior legal/admin post. Cycle 35 mins to work, do hours and enjoy what I'm doing, switch off and go home. No budgets, spreadsheets and targets.

LaTrucha · 30/03/2010 18:55

And do you want it?

willsurvivethis · 30/03/2010 19:07

I do - although I also want to have a second interview with the other guys so I'll ask them tomorrow what their plan is. At the moment this one seems most sensible as I am cracking up (stress of curent job plus first new memories in what feels like months) so I'm sure the right part of me is deciding!

mixedmamameansbusiness · 31/03/2010 16:51

LaT - have emailed you on FB. Forgot to say though that being ready t make the change was the most importnant I wouldnt have been able to do it before.

Catching up but I saw a note about interviews - IWST hope that means good news.

gingeme · 31/03/2010 20:22

Sounds promising iws
Stayed the same at SW this week Russ lost 2 1/2 though it is mooncup week, well thats my excuse.
David came home from school today not his usual bright chatty self. Gave them all a shower before bed and I think he has chicken pox I thought he had had it already when he was about Georges age but these look very definatley like the pox just as well it is Easter hols and he won't be spreading it about too much. 3 boys with the pox ........

Lilyloo · 31/03/2010 20:25

Well done IWill sounds like it may be right for you

Simps hope you better sounds like what i had at weekend and H has.

LaT i think it's just try to keep up your fluids for low blood pressure.

H off school today with vomiting so struggling to get on with packing. I also had some good news (seems first in ages) the pre school for dc school , where M will go in Sept have asked if i am interested in job there. Can still drop off and collect H and L and M can come with me ! Only mornings so still enough family time so fingers crossed i get it. They advertising after easter but the fact they asked me hopefully bodes well!

Lilyloo · 31/03/2010 20:26

Gingeme x post oh dear doesn't sound like you will be getting out much over the hols then!!!

JustKeepSwimming · 31/03/2010 21:11

Lily - that is good news!
And v about the trip, hope it all goes well.

Gingeme - that really isn't for you & hope not.
Still waiting to see if H comes out in spots, has until next Wed to come up i think.

IWST - hope the right job shows itself.

Um, stuff here...parents meeting with T's pre-sch tomorrow, could be interesting ...

2nd speech appt for H tomorrow, he hated physio again today so hope he is good at speech as he was last week.

Also spoke to GOSH re his Keppra (last med) wean - not until June but that's fine, thought they might say next Jan.

Oh and saw GP earlier, i can come off the ADs, yey, but totally confused about timings, may have to ring up and ask for more advice, doh.

nicky6 · 31/03/2010 21:13

not been on as too weary. noah reflux been a nightmare but have got gastro paed appointment for 23rd april at kings so fingers crossed that might help.

we did go to champneys at the weekend - christmas present 2008!! a night away - me and dh go there at lunch time had lunch went to the room to put clothes in and fell asleep waking up at 5pm - our treatments were booked for 5 too so q made dash to relaxing treatment. Nice though to feel a little bit more human.

LaTrucha · 01/04/2010 14:54

Mixemama - thanks a lot for your email. It was really kind of you to take the time and trouble. Very interesting too.

gingeme · 01/04/2010 16:47

Afternoon ladies.
Yes David definately has chicken pox though not too bad so far but then has a week or so for them all to come out. Keeping a close eye on the other two for the signs now
I had a productive day yesterday. DH booked me an Abhyanga massage(anyone?)for my birthday last year, its down Kensington. An all over body massage with 30 minute aroma steam and sauna after. I booked it yesterday ror 17th May and I booked my DJ for my birthday party in November. Have to send a £100 deposit.
DH sat and mad e a few templates on the pc today for my invites too. Some realy good designs. Hes clever like that
I have made an appt for Edward to see the gp next week about his dribbling. He is still dribbling like mad. They told us last year he would grow out of it! When? When he's 16 Just want to see if anyone else could shed some light on it.
Well enough babbeling from me.
Hope your all well xxx

simpson · 02/04/2010 13:54

Hi all

Hope everyone is ok....

Went on a boat trip this morning along the canal with DCs which they loved but it was sooo cold!!!

Thinking of booking the boat for J's birthday party in the summer...

Counting down now till 4pm as my mum is coming to pick up the kids and have them overnight and as my youngest bro is down from uni to help her she said she would have them tomorrow night too

Am off out tonight with the girls and tomorrow I think I shall just chill

JustKeepSwimming · 02/04/2010 14:02

Simps - have serious fun!

Nicky - really hope things improve with Noah, and you can get some sleep sometime soon.

Well H has chicken pox now too, kind of glad to get it out of the way, esp as so far he's fine, just spotty, though some of the spots are around his scar which isn't nice to see.

DH been out in the garden with the boys this morning, good job as it's raining again, yuk.
Got PIL here for a bit + lots of chocolate cake & eggs, hooray for Easter!

Lilyloo · 02/04/2010 20:43

Popping by to wish you all a happy easter and a fond farewell for 3 weeks!!
Take care all and your lo's!
Lloo xx

gingeme · 02/04/2010 22:39

You have probably gone but happy holiday Lillyloo
[HMM] jks Im just keeping a beady eye on my other two for spots. David has them very bad now. They are in his mough and round his dangly bits too I'm going to buy some oats tomorrow to see if they help relieve his itching. Giving him Piriton every 4 hours with Calpol. Poor love.
DH took Edward to Tesco this morning to get the eggs. Bought David a Cbeebies mag which we had great fun with while the lo's were asleep
Well hope you all have a fab Easter
