Morning all

DD slept until 9am she woke at 5.30 I fed her but she sat up and asked for milk, meaning her cup so I got her a cup of warm milk she guzzled it and went back to sleep very very peculiar. She then proceeded to eat 1.5 weetabix, a slice of toast, 4 crackers and 1/2 a banana - Who took my child??

Off to get DD weighed in a bit once we are dressed. Nothing much planned here for today a bit of a walk and laundry.

Pleased mini meet went well and you got to have child free conversation. Did someone have a Sazz-on-a-stick?

alittlebitshy · 06/11/2009 10:56

I agree - the meet was great. Late night though [yawn] and no proespect of lazy weekend as we're off to walsingham on the families pilgrimage today.

ds slept from 7.10 until i woke him at 9am. i think he'd have gone on a while longer but i was starting to panic so i raced in there and of course he was all ok, just sleepy. I think he is recovering from his trauma plus the night of v little sleep in hospital. he is a boy who likes and needs his sleep, even if sometimes punctuating it with feeds .

if i don;t get back on, have a good weekend, see you all next week and THANKS for all your supoort this week.

miamla · 06/11/2009 11:13

lol oops! i realised this morning that i'd left my carefully prepared sazz-on-a-stick at home

albs hope you have a great weekend and make sure you visit here on your own....

oh and oops it would appear that you have mine and i have yours... DS usually eats loads for breakfast but only wanted half a weetabix.

I had an awful night with him ( was great after getting back home late ) but then i guess its all my fault because he didn't have an orange last night [hollow laugh emoticon] (the orange trick hasn't been working for about a week now!) n

hotterpotter · 06/11/2009 13:43

Glad you all had fun in London

Snot I think you and Loti are the only ones not yet scooped up in an Aug 08 meetup of one size or another so share your 2010 dates and I'll put it in my diary among the tumbleweed straight away

It's very quiet today, all the other HotMamas are bunking off from the other thread too. I should be working but got that Friday feeling a few hours early.

Anyone care to join me in posting laughable lovely photos of us from 1989? I'll have a go tonight if I can find a suitable one. Despite my protestations of Gothdom, the talk of a reversible 101 Dalmations sweatshirt is sounding disturbingly familiar. Must have been my little sister who had one

Tell me I'm not imagining it, that biscuit definitely had eyes the other day didn't it???

cyteen · 06/11/2009 13:49

I'm up for a photoshame swap hots - will see what I can find tonight

Eyeless biscuit shocker!

RedLentil · 06/11/2009 15:03

Why has no-one mentioned big hair yet? When I met up with my Leeds mates last week, we were talking about our photos from college, and the fact that you can't see our faces because of the bouffantness.

I had a dotty p grey and yellow stripe long jumper which made me look like a synthetic fibres wasp.

Was the dalmations thing a puffy yoke from C&A? I may have had a minnie mouse one.

It's lovely to hear about the meet-up. I felt very guilty last week to be in Sheffield without meeting up with hots. I will not repeat that sin (nor the disney clothing one).

My Leeds dates for July are still not settled but I'll get on to that ...

DD2 had her mmr today. Her legs are like chicken wings and so it can't have been comfortable at all. DD1 is under the weather too and-rare for miss independence-is very much mummy's girl at the moment. Is it bad to be enjoying that?

DD2 has decided that even daddy isn't good enough and she must have me at all times. Aaaggghhh.

Brief bouts of feeling suffocated, but the whole gang are in lovely form at the minute so generally all is well.

Go easy on yourself albs my dear. It will take days for the shock to wear off I'd have thought ...

RedLentil · 06/11/2009 15:05

Apologies for sounding down about my break by the way, it was hectic, but really lovely too.

And can I just preen a little about ds being asked to draw his most special thing at school and drawing a picture of his family and his teddy? He's nearly 7 so I must extract maximum pleasure from each remaining declaration of devotion.

hotterpotter · 06/11/2009 16:06

The more I think about the reversible sweatshirt I am sure I had one . Undoubtably from C&A, I seem to recall it was padded and didn't have any sort of waistband so just sort of stuck out in a not-flattering way. I will have to ask my mum tomorrow.

Red you were in Sheffield You will have No1 crying as well as me we will look forward to next summer now and don't think you'll get out of it again

30 minutes to home time, yippeeeeee

steaknife · 06/11/2009 16:14

I had a winnie-the-pooh reversible sweathshirt. Big picture one side small pooh pattern the other. Though it must have been earlier than 1989. Probably around 1984 - now why didn't Orwell come up with that horrific vision of the future?

Red Mini-sir-legume sounds a love.

hotterpotter · 06/11/2009 16:17

Yes, a small busy pattern and then on the other side a picture. I am glad you've said 1984 Steaky as there is no way I could have been wearing such a thing after I had left home.

Obv we were the trend-setters

steaknife · 06/11/2009 16:17

Oh and as for photos - I was having similar discussion on a Style and Beauty thread the other day.

Photo of me in 1990

hotterpotter · 06/11/2009 19:06

Excellent Steaky

I am having a bit of trouble as don't currently have a scanner and the camera is refusing to focus properly on a photograph but I will get one up once DC are in bed

cyteen · 06/11/2009 19:19

here is me and my bro around 1992 Check the hot tie dye action!

SazZaVoom · 06/11/2009 20:11

LOL at you 80's queens - i can't even think of any pics from that age, must have been some kind of camera drought round our way . Will have a look though

Had a good afternoon with DD1 going to the whole of her swimming lesson (ignoring the need for a wee, refusing to wear the shark fin etc ). As a reward for being so good we are taking her swimming tomorrow with DD2.

Red - i hope DD2 is feeling ok with her MMR and you are getting a little space. Bless DS and his family love

Oops - i forgot to mention that i have a nice comfy maternity top for you (and some other bits if you want to take a look?). Do you know when you are up this way next?

hotterpotter · 06/11/2009 20:13

Very cool cyteen

I've put a couple on my profile. They're not brilliant but you get the idea . Think the reversible sweatshirt was too evil to have been photographed

oopsandbabycoconut · 06/11/2009 20:24

EVENING ALL (sorry to yell but the fireworks are very noisy here)

Have had a very exciting day today. I went in to see DH in the office at lunch and he said did fancy a trip to Australia instead of SA in January - I said no as 2 weeks is too short he then told me he has 3.5 weeks off from the 18th Jan and had been offered a 2 for 1 deal on business class tickets to Sydney. It's a bit of a no brainer as I have wanted to do Aus for ages but DH never had the urge. Now we are off on the 18th Jan and back on the 9th Feb. 5 days in Sydney then drive to Brisbane and back via the rainforest road to Sydney and home again. I am looking forward to beaches, sunshine and good family time.

Nothing much otherwise news here, feeling sicky and the chinese didn't help. I think DD is sickening for something all this sleeping and she has been ratty as all heck!

Great photos everyone - I don't have any of me many were lost in moves.

Sazz - yes please to looking at what you have - will make a plan to be up your way soon.

cyteen · 06/11/2009 20:27

Fabola oops, I am not at all jealous

hots ultralol, you are my hero

SazZaVoom · 06/11/2009 20:35

Fantastic news oops, you guys will have a lovely time together as a family of 3, a real holiday to remember . Then of course you will have to repeat it when DC2 comes along

I am usually around Mon pm, Tues, Weds pm and Thurs. So no real life then . Oh, or weekends if you are visiting family at the weekend and DH doesn't mind meeting the meetup guru's

Thinking about that, has mrSazz met the most Aug08'ers (4) or MrAug08'ers (2)?
You will need a mrsazzonastick at this rate

dizzydixies · 06/11/2009 22:42
