x post. That is sweet sazzles vg I love them blocks too. Love that kind of thing.

DD is still up,sat at the side of me,poking me in the eye, saying 'poorly eye mummy'
I do not have a poorly eye, but soon will if she keeps at it.

hotter does your mil still have that craft shop at Cannnon Hall?

dizzydixies · 18/11/2009 21:35

cripes, have just looked at my online family rota thingy and realised I'm down to work in the cafe tomorrow morning now the likley hood of me managing is nil points AND its too late to let anyone know - pants - I hate letting people down.

I have to go over to get sick line so I'll call in and see them. pants pants pants - I don't even have the energy time to do some apologetic baking

hi sazz hope DH ok after his bump and well done for prep for Sat, is she excited?

steaknife · 18/11/2009 21:38

VG yes I saw that one. I spoke to a business link advisor and she said to phone job centre. Will make an appt for a day I fancy a trip to Exeter for a bit of window shoppy shoppy and some TK Maxxing.

hotterpotter · 18/11/2009 21:38

Gee wizz you guys have expensive tastes there's Dizz with her posh biscuits and VG with her antique blocks They are very nice VG, but a bit too pastelly to find favour with my DC

No1 isn't your DD nearly/just 3? She's a big girl too then.

Oh oh oh, forgot to say, they are having a pretend wedding at nursery on Friday, as they are doing about celebrations this term. Normally I would be a little about this as they are just babies, but they're not really are they, and they're all looking forward to going in on Friday in their posh clothes for the reception but but but my DD is first in line to be the bride [proud] as long as she's still up for it on Friday! As this is a girl who wouldn't speak to any of the grownups there for nearly two whole terms this is amazing

steaky without meaning to be nosey - and tell me to feck right off if you wish- but did Monsieur Steak put his hands in his pockets when he was over and more importantly on a regular basis?

hotterpotter · 18/11/2009 21:41

No1 yes they still sell old tat lovely craft stuff at Cannon Hall

dizzydixies · 18/11/2009 21:41

hots lovely - I hope we're all invited, I'd love to buy a new hat for such a special occassion - as mother of the bride I hope you've co-ordinated outfits with the mother of the groom and may I recommend some rescue remedy for when the emotions get too much

S'alright Dizz Mansteak sends 100 euros a month - works out as £80. I can't accept more than that otherwise it comes off my benefits pound for pound. Which is another reason to want to get onto WTC as it isn't affected by maintenance - I so don't understand why that should be.
He also brought over clothes for her and clothes while he was here and paid for food while out and about and for the house too.
So he is doing what he can. Though again, I'm not counting on it - all budgets based on what I actually get.

Those blocks are delish.

steaknife · 18/11/2009 21:44

It is 36 dollars so only about £20 still quite a bit for something I wouldn't let DD play with for fear of spoiling them.

dizzydixies · 18/11/2009 21:46

VG this is for the church cafe I volunteer at so I don't have contact details of anyone to step in - shall go in and flail about a bit and may I mention I find you rather attractive when you're being bossy

steaky - glad to hear it, sorry for having to ask but I am prone to getting a touch indignant re men and hands in their pockets

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 18/11/2009 21:48

Yes hotter she is a big girl. She will be 3 in Feb.

I would be very proud too hots bless her.

vg stickle bricks are fantastic. I used to love those.

We have got ds a wodden garage for xmas and dh got him an interactive Waybaloo. He goes mad when it comes on.

DD is getting baby annabell and a wooden farm.
Just looking for some clothes for baby annabell.

dizzydixies · 18/11/2009 21:50

No1 - don't bother your arse, if your DD is anything like DD2 then poor Annabel will spend the rest of her time in the buff

steaknife · 18/11/2009 21:51

No idea what to get DD. We bought her a teddy last year and then had to give it to her cousin as mansteak had forgotten to get DN anything.

Thought I might make her a little quilt - I had wanted to do that for her birthday, high hopes of doing one a year for her.

hotterpotter · 18/11/2009 21:53

LOL all our dolls spend 95% of their time in the nude too

I am not invited to my DD's wedding I just hope she doesn't have any such ideas when/if she decides to do it properly...

Right DS seems to have finally gone to sleep and I have a busy day shopping --in JohnLewis at a meeting in Newcastle so that's me done for the night.

Sweet dreams all

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 18/11/2009 21:59

Yes dizzy you are probably right, in fact I would be suprised if any of the stuff gets played with. Just been trying to atke note of what they play with when we are out.

Im off too, to get dd in bed.
Happy shopping hotter

Hi Sazz keep forgetting ebay, I just posted on freecycle so will wait and see.
I've been trawling the local second hand shops weekly but nothing about.
Just easier to get something new and delivered.

steaknife · 18/11/2009 22:15

Sazz you star - someone is selling the one I was looking at anyway. So placed bid, closing tomorrow evening - fingers crossed.

steaknife · 18/11/2009 22:18

right - bed for me.
Night all, wishing you peaceful ones.
