Hi thought I'd take the bull by the horns and start a new thread. Hope the weaning was covert enough! Fire away!

Hi to all of you who remember me, I've just passed the 20wk mark and now know that we are having another girl. We are delighted as we had gotten used to the idea of having a couple of girls.

18 weeks to go - wishing the weeks away tbh but trying not to.

take carexx

Phoenix · 24/01/2010 21:14

Oh how cute Baby

Phoenix · 24/01/2010 21:17

How lovely to hear from you WoollyJo. Huge congratulations on your baby girl. Hope you're all doing ok

lydiathetattooedlady · 25/01/2010 08:08

Lovely to hear from you woollyjo i was actually thinking about you the other day, fantastic news, i hope you enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

i'll have a peek baby!! sleep well after putting pillow in he seems a lot better and last night he slept from 6.30 until 4 in his cot!!! i feel great!

missp we will be doing some hand crafted bits and some little baby bits once we're up and running, also going to do knitting group on first sunday of the month and then beginners classes once a month too, maybe a special mums to be class with easy blankets/cardigans etc to make.

lady he was on domperidone but we stopped it once he started solids as he seemed to be getting better, especially on the foods that he feeds himself. Having said that he did a spectacular projectile vomit across dds wardrobe this morning, good job the doors were shut!

sister saw her today, she looks knackered. she asked if it was normal to feel this tired, i thought wait til the baby gets here!
Bless her i dont think she thought the sickness and tiredness would be too bad!

Patchybob · 25/01/2010 11:52

Woollyjo so lovely to hear that you are doing well. Please keep in touch and let us know when you have your baby. big hugs xx

Hi all sorry I'm crap at keeping in touch, I really don't know were the time goes.
The boys are doing well. Both have 2 teeth and Stan trying very hard to crawl
Both have colds at the moment so I'm covered in snot and dd2 really suffering she's had a temp of 39.5 today

I'm on facebook too if anyone wants to add me not sure how you do it

QueenFee · 25/01/2010 21:08

wooleyjo that's lovely so nice to hear from you.

Misspaella · 25/01/2010 21:31

Woolyjo lovely to hear from you. Hope it has been going smoothly and I truly wish you the best.

Activity thanks, I am keeping an eye on the anxiousness. I have chatted to some GF about it. Thank you again. It feels like another hormonal shift. Still BF and no AF but definitely feel like things are happening (hormonally anyway)

Larglass crawling?!?! WOW.

LargeGlassofRed · 25/01/2010 22:23

wooleyjo so lovely to hear from you I think about you all the time.

Phoenix · 26/01/2010 08:39

LGOR - If you want you can tell us your email address and we can search for you that way. Mine is [email protected]

I took Noah to the doctors yesterday cos as well as a cough and a snotty nose he is really miserable and not drinking much milk so i thought there might be something else wrong. We literally walked in and walked back out. He listened to his chest, felt for swollen glands, felt his belly and looked in his ears and said he's fine you can go now. 2mins we were in there. They really know how to make you feel that you've wasted your time don't they?

lydiathetattooedlady · 26/01/2010 09:15

missp hope you're feeling ok.

phoenix thats how my gp made me feel when Bill was ill before xmas. Id only seen him that morning and said i thought he was dehydrated as his lips were cracking. he got a shock and called me back the next day when i cancelled the appointment after he was admitted that night for dehydration!

sister shes so poorly, being sick day and night, hasnt kept anything down since staurday and has phoned me upset because she feels so faint when she stands.

LargeGlassofRed · 26/01/2010 11:22

Thanks phoenix, sorry to here Noah poorly too, roll on spring!
my email is [email protected]

ladylush · 26/01/2010 12:56

v impressed at the crawling/movement Now is calorie burning time for mums too
Took dd to clinic yesterday and she gained 8oz since last week - so very pleased after a few weeks worry
woolyjo congrats on your wonderful news. Understandably it will be worrying time for you and can understand you wanting to wish the time away but this time next year you will be on a postnatal thread with a whole host of other concerns and be grateful for them - because you have dd iyswim (after several losses myself this is how I feel anyway).

babyblue4 · 26/01/2010 18:08

Lydia So I am guessing this is your sisters' first pregnancy? Not nice when you feel so bad the first time around! My first pregnancy was by far the best! Aside from migraines the first 3 months, I had very little nausea, no spotting, no aches and pains and no real food issues (aside from Pasta - couldn't stand the sight and smell of it and for an Italian, thats a BIG deal!!! ). Had I had DD2 first, I think she would have been an only child!! LOL

sleep So we seem to be getting on much better now that Marco is in his cot. His first waking is between 4and 5am, and then he usually goes back to sleep until 7 or 8. He has gotten up a second time to feed once or twice, but not nearly as bad as before. He also seems to be drinking the entire 5 oz bottle now, instead of just taking a few gulps. Makes it at least worth while to get up for. And the fact that he goes right back to sleep helps. He has also taken to sleeping on his tummy with his bum up in the air! We try and put him down on his back, but the little bugger rolls over straight away! So now we have stopped swaddling him, since we are worried that he cant move once on his tummy. As a result, he doesn't seem to sleep as long during nap time! I feel like I cant catch a break! LOL. Guess he needs to get used to it.

colds Marco's seems to be pretty much going. He was stuffy for a week but the snot seems to be thinning out now. Thank goodness, because I find that he projectile vomits more when he is stuffy... and its been horrible now (especially with a belly full of carrots that stain on contact!).

Mobility Well Marco has had his first accident. Nearly put me into hysterics!! He was crawling around my bedroom floor with DD1, and he must have toppled over onto the corner of the change table. He started screaming blue murder. I was preparing dinner at the time. Heard a thud and his screaming. Sounded like he had fallen off the change table!! (in reality it was DS1 falling off his bed after jumping on it, which happened to coincide with Marco screaming). I raced up the stairs to find DD1 holding Marco and blood pouring out of both nostrils and coming out of his mouth! I was HORRIFIED!! DD1, bless her, had to calm me down and convince me that he had not fallen off the table and it wasn't as bad as it looked. I cleaned up the boy and found he had cut his upper gum with his one tooth and had banged up his upper lip. He was in good spirits, but I was shaking like a leaf! And so it starts! I can only imagine when he starts walking!

woolyjo Congrats on the good news Try to enjoy the rest of your pregnancy for baby's sake.

alibobble · 26/01/2010 19:52

arg! am in pj's alreadt. dd2 projectile vomited all over just before bed. Dd1 been ill for a few days and now I feel v ill. Oh dear. Hope it's not a vomiting bug. I hate being sick

Had Noah weighed today, he's 21lb 1oz

JetLi · 26/01/2010 21:33

Hi all - great weight Phoenix

Doing OK here apart from I had my swine flu jab today. Waiting on side effects now. Not sure which was worse - the jab itself, or all the OAPs moaning and complaining whilst we all waited

Ali - really hope it's not a dreaded vomming bug

Hope all are well

alibobble · 27/01/2010 09:40

doing better this morning. dd2 not vomited since. maybe she ate too much last night?

Was kept awake last night by snoring.... coming from NEXT DOOR You can't exactly do anything about that can you?!

Anyone else putting in application forms for schools for older dcs? Had to submit mine for dd1 yesterday. Hoping she'll get hte school I want as it's very over subscribed but very good. We shall see.

phoenix Wow on weight! dd2 was 19 lb 4oz at 27 weeks the other day and I thought that was massive!

Gotta go, dd1 is "doctoring" dd2 with ehr doctor's kit. It could all go horribly wrong.. I can see she has the "tweezers"

ladylush · 27/01/2010 09:57

Ali - I did ds1's school app. in Sept and the closing date to get them in here was in Nov. We find out in April. Ds won't start until Jan 2011 though. He will be 5 a month after he starts. Most of the others on my other post natal thread for him start in Sept '10

Baby - ouch for Marco. Must have been a shock to see all the blood.

Re. Noah's weight. Ds1 was 21lb 11oz at 26wks (Noah is 28 weeks) according to his red book. Noah isn't even on much solids yet so his is all milk

Has anyone got swine flu vaccine invites for older dc's? Are you having it done? We got one for Lewis last week but i just don't know what to do.

Patchybob · 27/01/2010 13:47

Hello everyone

LGOR I will look you up on facebook later.....its my next stop after here!!

Baby AARgh to the blood....what a fright and lucky you have such a sensible dd1. bless her.

Lydia hope your sister is feeling better, has she seen the dr as it sounds quite bad.

I am in agony. I really bad toothache, went to the dentish yesterday with dd and Max who screamed blue murder and poor dd had to look after him! After 2 injections and a horribly numb face it still isn't much better today. Will have to go back on friday when dh is home to have max I think.

Finally moving forward with the old conservatory, have quotes now so just need to submit it to the loss adjustors. I can't wait to have it built again as everywhere seems so cluttered with all the crap that was out there!

Max is still full of cold, but eating a bit more and less miserable. He is sleeping so well. The last 2 nights its been 7pm till 8am with a dream feed at 9.30pm. He wakes for a bit at 7am, think he might do a poo then but he goes back to sleep. Its lovely! Although last night dd was coughing all night and the night before that dh snored all night so I don't feel as wonderful as I should!!

Phoenix at the dr. They are a nightmare for making you feel like a timewaster aren't they. Max has his 6mth check tomorrow with the dr and I am going armed with a whole list of questions!!

Anyway Ironing calling, boo hiss!

babyblue4 · 27/01/2010 18:30

Phoenix Wow! Noah's weight is wonderful! I havent taken Marco to the doc yet. I am probably going to postpone his appointment, as he needs another set of jabs and we are a bit behind in those. Maybe get them done mid February. Am really curious to see how much he weighs! He was almost 16lbs at 4 months and he seems to have sprouted lately!

Swine Flu All three of my older DCs have gotten their jabs (as well as DH and I). DD2 had to have hers in 2 doses as she is only 2... that was horrible. She had bad reactions both times with high fever. The older 2 had pain in their arms and just a slight temperature. I am glad we did it, since Marco seems to catch everything that comes into our home!

Ali Glad DD is feeling better

Patchy Glad Max is feeling bit better and that you are at least getting some sleep! Toothaches are the worst! I had to have a root canal and crown put in after breaking my molar in half on a crisp whilst preg with DD2! Can you imagine! Good thing it was towards the end of the pregnancy, because nothing could be done about it until baby was born. My tooth throbbed for weeks. Then the procedure took 3 separate visits to complete. Was in agony for almost a month!

quiet So I thought I was in for a rough day when I woke up to the sounds of both babies screaming downstairs and DH yelling at someone! I quickly left the house, went to the gym for my run and came home an hour later to blissful peace! DH got both down for a nap at the same time, so I sit here in silence! AAAHHHHHH!!!!!! Can eat my lunch in peace, check my emails, pay my bills, and NO INTERRUPTIONS!!! Woot Woot! What has my life come to when this is what is exciting news in my day!

Patchybob · 27/01/2010 20:47

Baby enjoy the silence!! it never lasts long! Max always has a long sleep after lunch from about 1pm till I wake him up to get the big kids. When dh is away and the big kids at school it is bliss, 2 hours of my time, where I get my jobs done, go on facebook, mumsnet and catch up on phone calls. I love it!

I tried to make some biscuits for Max today, as was shocked by the amount of sugar in the shop ones for babies. I sweetened them with apple juice and a tiny bit of sugar and they were ok! They looked like bird poo and were a slightly strange colour but didn't taste too bad. (I'm not selling them too well am I!) For dairy free, egg free, hardly sweet biscuits they could have been worse! DO any of you have any decent recipes for baby biscuits? I bought some organix rice cakes, bluebery flavour I think, he loves those so at least they are better than an incredibly sweet biscuit.

Anyway, off to have a glass of wine and watch crappy tv. DH back tomorrow so my last night of peace and quiet for a few days
