50ft I was trying to only spend money on the one thing. I had seen lakeland online... never thought it was a real shop until I saw it... If I had gone in there, I would have been swallowed up in there for longer than ronshar was swallowed up in Hollister, and come out remortgaging our home .

star6 · 23/10/2009 10:27

come ON csws... how did you post??

Just marking my place. Back later!

I love, love, love it when the Lakeland catalogue drops on our doormat. I very rarely order anything but love sitting down and having a good read.

Pepper- So sorry to hear about your wrist. That sounds terrible

50ft- Have a great holiday in Dorset!

Myjob- Happy Birthday to DS, hope he has a great day

I'm on half term now..yippee..yippee I'm so excited, a whole week with J, a whole week of not making packed lunches and rushing out the house at 7.30am! Plus it's his birthday and we're having a day out at the zoo and then a party. I am soooo looking forward to next week

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/10/2009 20:31

Ouch pepper.

Lol at star and the teleshopping.

Happy holidays mm!

Ds only had 30 mins sleep today, and a v busy day, so hopefully tiredness will win out for him tonight and we'll have a better night, last night was baaaad.

Fuck - the day the clocks go back (tomorrow) is really not the best day for me to have my first night out where dh has to put the dc to bed on his own is it . Ds will need his final feed from me before 6pm, which will effectively be 5pm!

Well, when I say pizza, it'll be a salad for me on account of the no dairy rule . But nice anyway .

Swearing CSWS .
Thank you for my spelling lesson ladies .
I was taken up by the bnp for the evening. I didn't end up going to bed until really late.

Happy holidays 50ft.

Pepper. Ouch your poor hand.

Pistachio, college work avoidance is the best way to do your housework.

Rachie enjoy your half term.

star you have made my week with the austin powers thing - very very funny. I work/live in Scotland and manage most of the time with the accent unless i am with 2 people who are talking to each other - then i am totally lost and just grin idiotically. i think people think i am a bit simple!!!

Boys have stayed with PILs and have been great - not even noticed that we weren't there really (unless MIL is lying) great to know that your kids really need you hoorah for lie-in tomorrow - for dawn waking on sunday - i think i may see 4am again as boys were up at 5am today best make the most of tonight - off for booze now...

Rachie - where are you going to centre parcs - whinfell forest is fab....don't know about the others though.....when are you going as you need to book stuff well in advance if its school holiday time.

computer being very wierd so going now, hopefully back before too long

RachieW · 23/10/2009 22:29

CSWS- Have a great evening out. Am confused though as 6pm tomo will be normal 6pm it will be 6pm Sunday that is 5pm. Or are you going out Sunday? Or maybe my one glass of red wine tonight has fried my brain completely

Loulou we've booked for Longleat as a friend recommended that particular one. I'm not too sure how many activities we'll be able to do as J will only be 18months. We def want to hire bikes though, do we need to do that early? Oh and if it makes you feel better about dcs not needing you, J leapt off my lap into the arms of his keyworker at Nursery today. It's great that he is happy there and really likes her but I was also I'll never be happy

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/10/2009 22:44

rachie - I mean in the sense that if he goes to bed at normal 7pm and usually sleeps for say 11hrs, then normally he'd be up at 6am, but that will actually be 5am so as though he'd gone to bed at 6pm on a normal night.

I can see me cancelling my night out at the moment though, as ds now asleep on my lap after another huge screaming fit.

Honeymoonmummy · 23/10/2009 23:13

Woah - less talking about clocks going back please! Are you trying to completely fry my brain??? You'll be talking about time travel next!

I feel a bit better today, the prescribed drugs are escitalopram, I did a new thread and someone has posted a link to say it is OK while BF. Am not sure whether to give that a go or go back to Sertraline and just try it at different time of day and see if I can sleep.

Have a great holiday 50ft and re your hand Pepper. Happy birthday to DS MyJob.

I've blitzed the house today, it was really getting me down as things had got on top of us while we were all ill. My kitchen is now clean, most of the laundry is done and all other rooms are fairly tidy. Gonna blitz the bathroom tomorrow

Oh, DH and I want to make Poppy's birthday cake ourselves We'd like to do a proper one in the shape of something. I'm gonna get a book out of the library. Are they really hard to do? And can I replace sugar with something that's better for babies? [HMM anticipates getting lots of recipes with beetroot in them now]

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/10/2009 23:21

A bit of sugar is fine for babies hmm, really. You know that you can get some great shaped cake tins (from Lakeland ) these days don't you? What shape do you want?

OP posts:
Honeymoonmummy · 24/10/2009 00:10

Dunno. She likes animals so was thinking of an animal of some sort.

aubergenie · 24/10/2009 07:24

HMM- If you've got a specialist cake/baking shop near you you might also be able to hire a tin. they often have those Lakeland ones, which are lovely (but pricey).

Awful, awful night here. D has basically screamed then dozed on and off all night. The minute he woke, he just started screaming again. We brought him into the bed with us but he just wanted to feed for hours and hours. As soon as he stopped feeding, he would start to scream.

Also - dp and I had a bit of a grumpy tired disagreement about this in the night- how bad does it have to be for you to give medication?

star6 · 24/10/2009 08:41

Aubergenie, well, the main problem there of course, is that you were taking care of D instead of S!

So did clocks go back last night, then? should it be 7.40 now?
