April 2007 - The one where we despair about coughs and colds; sickness bugs; cheeky behaviour and the amount of tinsel and fairy lights ALREADY in the shops!!

glad that worked SOL - yes, T started doing that at the promise of a button in the morning
Things OKish here I think. T was last sick at 9 last night, has had some toast this morning so we'll see...he's asleep at the moment which isn't like him, so I hope this is him shaking off the last of the bug. Also hope A hasn't got it - she's had a lot more dirty nappies recently but they've not been bad ones so I'm hoping it's coincidence.

StealthPolarBear · 09/11/2009 10:57

SB, hope you're feeling better soon
sorry for selfish post there

Sexonlegs · 09/11/2009 14:40

SPB, hope T is better soon.

SB, hope you feel better soon too.

StealthPolarBear · 09/11/2009 18:10

StealthPolarBear · 09/11/2009 19:36

runnyhabbit · 09/11/2009 20:08

Just popping to say hello

We were in London at the weekend, for sil wedding (wo the boys ). Short and sweet ceremony, straight into a party, with free bar!!! Great time was had by all, but even though we came home yesterday, I am still feeling a little fragile Though me and dh had today off work, and have managed to get most of the boys Christmas pressies.

Going to sort out school bags etc and then off for an early night x

oooggs · 09/11/2009 20:15

oh katy - I have no idea - I am not good with sick

runny - that sounds like a great weekend

Dippy - I have heard of the 'pasta jar' same thing really but never done anything like that

sol - hope bribery continues to work

bloody cold down here today, must to totally freezing anything north of Bristol!!!

Sexonlegs · 09/11/2009 20:19

Evening

How long has T been puking for SPB?

Runny, your weekend sounded fab!!

Oooggs, lol at freezing North of Bristol!!

Bed time was a battle - half an hour of putting back to bed etc. We shall see what happens overnight. Not hopeful tbh. I don't get it!!

StealthPolarBear · 09/11/2009 20:32

48 hours between 1st & most recent - done it again jusy6 now
glad it was a good trip runny
good luck sol!

Sexonlegs · 09/11/2009 21:21

Sounds unusual to have a 48 hour gap and then be ill again, but then again maybe I have been lucky with the girls in that it has all been over quite quickly. Does he have diahorrea (sp?)as well?

Tesco have just been. We had a laugh. I had ordered baby courgettes and they had been substituted with baby parsnips!! The driver said sometimes if someone has asked for strawberries and they have none, they just substitute with anything ending in berry!!

StealthPolarBear · 10/11/2009 07:42

I know, that's just what I was saying to Mum. Anyway, believe it or not, he slept all night, A only woke once for a feed at 2.30 so I feel much more able to cope this morning
lol at the baby parsnips - be glad you didn't get baby formula or babycham - at least it was still in the category of vegetable

Sexonlegs · 10/11/2009 07:55

A good night for you SPB

K was awake at 3.15 for an hour or so. So, the bribery option doesn't work

lol at Baby Cham! That takes me back!

StealthPolarBear · 10/11/2009 08:18

it would have been perfect (I even got A back in her basket after her feed usually she comes in with me) except I lay there for what seemed like hours waiting for T to wake up!

Bramshott · 10/11/2009 14:30

Evening al

NL - sorry to hear of your friend Thinking of you

Well, I was in hospital this morning, with another bloody kidney stone. Seems I passed it by the time I got hospital. After a few x-rays, tests, and generally being prodded, I was able to come home. Need to make an appt with GP, to see if there's a way to prevent them. Think it's going to be a low(ish) protein diet. We'll see

Take care all x
