Oh go on then.

I'm rubbish at titles though but I bow down to Oli's cakes and supermum.

EasilyConfusedIndith · 28/05/2010 14:32

wb I bow down to you for putting yourself through it again! You deserve a medal.

jabberwocky · 31/05/2010 18:35

wb It so sucks to be like that and not even be able to have a glass of wine. err, although I did have the odd glass anyway

EasilyConfusedIndith · 01/06/2010 10:04

I'm bored!

MyNeighbourTotoro · 01/06/2010 15:58

Me too. And highly shocked as DD2 is sporting a huge bite mark on her cheek, from DD1 who is six!!!!

EasilyConfusedIndith · 01/06/2010 16:13

I bit my sister til it bled once

Watched dvds all morning then dd had a massive nap to make up for last night. Just attempted to get to the park during a lull in the rain but the dcs got distracted by a huge muddy puddle on the way Just got home again and they are eating biscuits after being stripped and showered They both fell over several times so were completely soaked through from head to toe!

castlesintheair · 01/06/2010 16:27

EV, how funny DD1 (also 6) bit DD2 today although she didn't use her teeth, it was more out of frustration. Must be something to do with the mooooooon!

Bored with the weather mostly. Bloody raining at half term. Typical. Going away tomorrow and the forecast is good.

MyNeighbourTotoro · 01/06/2010 17:59

Indith - you are braver than me. I tend not to venture out in the rain, hence the squabbling children.

DD1 doesnt want me to tell daddy about her misdemeanour. Sadly to teeth marks on DD2s face may give her away.

accessorizequeen · 02/06/2010 09:00

Oh dear EV! There's been a lot of squabbling in our house of late, ds3 whacks his sister a lot and ds2 fairly rough. I spend half my day saying no, don't....
Sunny today mehopes and Friday when I have all 4 and nothing to do. Not sure if I'm brave enough to venture to park but don't think I can stand all day at home with them. Shall have to get some backbone for 6 weeks of summer hols clearly.
Shopping trip for Ascot resulted in nothing. Sigh. I am too fat to go to Ascot.

jabberwocky · 02/06/2010 14:31

I've gone to the gym two mornings in a row

will stop and catch up on thread now

EasilyConfusedIndith · 02/06/2010 15:07

Wow Jabber! That's motivation

Must start doing exercise. My cake habit is finally starting to catch up with me. Not exactly sure when I'm supposed to do it though. Dh helpfully suggested that I do a DVD on the nights that he is rowing. Should fit in no problem while I put the dcs to bed, clear up and cook dinner ready for when he gets home.

accessorizequeen · 02/06/2010 15:15

Yes, v impressive Jabber. I am motivated to exercise, I like it. Just the only time I can do it is after 8.30pm when I am so shattered i can barely stand up. Or get up at 5.30/6am. Which I'm sure some of you do already but I drag myself out of bed at 7 as it is.
I do have exercise dvds, they're so covered with dust tho.

MyNeighbourTotoro · 02/06/2010 18:08

A trip down memory lane

weirdbird · 02/06/2010 19:07

I think you might be confusing bravery with stupidity, but its too late now!

Well I don't know what I was complaining about anyway cause I decided to go into premature labour after all my moaning so have spent the last 3 days having steroid injections and seeing consultants, the only good news is that I am not on bed rest this time around!

You may or may not remember but I did this about the same time last time with DD2 and I also did it with DD1 so they have now decided its nothing I am doing it is just me at this stage in pregnancy... tra la la I really do suck at being pregnant!

So have had a couple of days taking it easy, just what you need in half term week and then we shall see. The only trigger DH and I can see is that we have had sex in the immediate day prior to the contractions each time, though this is the one thing no one has ever asked about! so no fun for us for a while we think...

EasilyConfusedIndith · 04/06/2010 14:50

Bertha! I loved Bertha.

Keep your legs crossed wb. Nothing goes in, nothing comes out. Problem solved

weirdbird · 04/06/2010 21:55

Lol

Thank you that made me smile! Just need to find a no entry sign...

I tend to go www.retrojunk.com/ for retro tv, I did love Bertha too can't quite manage all the words these days, but I still know a fair number!

Lenni · 06/06/2010 19:37

WB - Hope you are keeping your legs crossed.

AQ - Ascot?? Did I miss something yeah I know, everything, but what about Ascot? Sounds exciting.

Not been online much lately, nice weather, no computer time and busy RL has kept me away. Am starting to get some time again so will be back, although still fretting on work for next year and things so not sure you'll want me!

Only news is that DD fell off her rocking sheep and fractured her collarbone on Friday evening. Poor mite is in a bad way this evening, think it is getting more painful - surely it should be easing by now? The swelling is still there though so maybe the pain is bruising appearing.

Good on you for getting to the gym Jabber. I am sat in open mouthed admiration here. Of course I'm telling myself let it motivate me to go, but of course I'll have forgotten by the morning.

Lenni · 06/06/2010 19:50

Just read your Ascot post AQ - sounds very exciting!

Indith - read about DS potty training. Can't remember what you said happens if you put him in nappies so forgive me if old ground but if it were me I think I would put him back in nappies and not say a word about potties or toilets or anything for a while so he doesn't get all the attention that is going with wetting/soiling. Sounds like he is resisting for some reason not physical. Either that or I would leave him out of nappies and try my hardest not to give him any additional attention whatsoever for wetting/soiling himself but sounds like might be occuring too often for that to be possible. DD was easily potty trained but does still have accidents, perhaps one every few weeks and we tend to get a spate of them, sometimes a few in a day and then nothing again for ages - there is a girl at her preschool who seems to have an accident everyday and is same age. Not sure if that any reassurance, but it does seem more common than people would let on.

Lenni · 07/06/2010 21:01

oooh, noone here. Have you gone elsewhere?

MyNeighbourTotoro · 08/06/2010 09:33

I'm around. Spending more time on FB and Twitter though really.

jabberwocky · 10/06/2010 14:09

3 times a week in the gym for 2nd week in a row. Wonder if I can lose 10 pounds this summer?

EasilyConfusedIndith · 10/06/2010 16:13

Wow Jabber nice going!

We've been on a bit of a holiday in Northumberland, I think an hour is a good distance away form home for a holiday! MIL had a cottage rented for the week so we've not had to pay for a thing Thankfully dh is rowing this evening before a race on Saturday so we came home today, not sure I could have survived much more MIL! Has been lovely though.

Lenni your poor dd Hope is heals soon. Must be so hard at her age so get her to just rest it.

Ds and potty training. I am going to make a fancy pants chart this weekend in super nanny style with his picture on etc and if that doesn't work after a couple of days he will be back in nappies. Sure dd will be easy. She likes chocolate and can be bribed. Ds is unbribable.

jabberwocky · 10/06/2010 17:31

It sounds like a nice holiday, Indith - MIL notwithstanding Our beach holiday has been sabotaged by BP I just hope we get our money back. We bought travel insurance but with so many people cancelling I'm a bit nervous about it. We're going to do a long weekend closer to home and take the dcs to see the Titanic museum among other things. Both boys have been besotted with the Titanic for well over a year now

accessorizequeen · 10/06/2010 21:51

Poor dd, lenni hope she'll be out of a sling soon

Am just gearing up to PT ds2, he steadfastly refuses to try pants but he's 3.6 I have to make an effort! Have asked for support from HV as so worried will end up with 2nd soiling child. 4 years later ds1 still soils every day. Sigh. I think/hope tho that ds2 is just lazy. Did I mention his speech has FINALLY improved, so much clearer and he seems so much more grown up and with it as a result. Blood tests from paed were negative as well, just physio assessment to go. Come sept I'm going to try to take him and dts to trampolining, that should be interesting!
So anyway, indith, if he ends up in pants again, ds2 has never put any on! Frustrating business tho. I can well imagine dd will be pt before he is.

jabber, you thoroughly deserve to lose 10 pounds if you keep going. I am stuck in zombie comfort eating land these last few months, it's piling on. Tried on several dresses tonight in attempt to look part for Ascot and looked vile in all of them. Squashy stomach from 4 children urrrghh.

EasilyConfusedIndith · 11/06/2010 10:24

Great news on ds AQ

I bet you looked lovely and not vile at all. Shoulders back and have some confidence! You have 4 children, you are not some skinny whatsit with a flat tummy that has never been pg but that does not mean that you are not lovely and cannot look fantastic.

Olihan · 11/06/2010 16:55

AQ, SPANX, nothing else solves that wobbly tummy scenario ime. Go with the ones that come up to your armpits and down to your knees, then everything is sucked in.

Lenni, poor Dd. I remember when ds1 broke his arm. It was horrible knowing he was in pain and not being able to do anything about it bar the usual calpol/ibuprofen every 3 hours. Hope she's perking up a bit now.

WB, Indith is wise .

Indith, loving the sound of a fancy pants chart but that he can't be bribed. Does the boy still not like chocolate?

Jabber, well done on the gym. I can not get motivated at all .

Just back form 5 days at Disneyland. Kids loved it, are absolutely wiped out, as are we - it's not exactly a relaxing holiday but the kids are easily entertained .

Building work is moving on apace. We have walls and roof beams and the builder reckons he'll be knocking through next week . The mess is unbelievable though. The house, and therefore extension, is built of red cheshire brick which must create the messiest dust in the entire history of dust. It's terrible and goes everywhere. Considering it's all still outside I'm lost as to how so much is inside my house. I'm decamping to MILs the second he starts knocking through. My nerves won't take it .
