it's sunny here today (thankfully with all the washing I have to do)

I have been back to the shop several times and there were no lost notices, so the kids have had a couple of treats. Apparently DHs boss found a wad of notes stuffed inside a hoover bought from a charity shop, and another wad in a glasses case also fom a charity shop, amount to several hundreds of pounds, and she kept it with no guilt at all! I still feel a bit bad, so the coat might be getting re-donated!

I do agree with taking responsibilty for ourselves and our happiness - I was surprised to hear what an effect my past could have had but won't be playing the "poor me" card and am certainly more interested in working on turning myself around to make my future better.

Hoorah for lucky finds and cheap DSs etc

Had a nice afternoon visiting a friend and her DS. We got the bus there after work, and had a couple of hours playing there (and eating scones ) until it was time to come home.

Am still coughing and am getting really exhausted now. Time to take the prescription to the chemist and claim my ABs tomorrow I think!

baggins slept in his own bed til about 4am

JammyOLantern · 08/10/2009 18:28

Well done Baggins

I met a MNer this afternoon Greensnail who lives nearby - bumped into her on a local thread. Was a very pleasant hour chatting over a cuppa and cake

LatinDAISYcal · 08/10/2009 22:35

lovely jammy; it's always nice meeting new people and making new friends.

Woohoo baggins.....is that the first time ever Ria?

I have a nappy demo organised ; loving nappies abd telling my friends about them is one thing; but talking to a roomful of strangers about them is something else entirely.....

not sure if I asked this already, but those of us taking ADs; do you find it's a lot worse when you are due on? I'm having a hideous few days and it's the same every bloody month

GrimRIAper · 08/10/2009 23:21

LOL Jammy.

when daisy? It'll be fine. You are quite passionate about your subject matter from what I understand

Don't know about the ADs as I'm not taking mine (though if I went to the GP they would say take them, and TBH I think it would help, but MHN said I don't need them) Had my appointment today. After DHs rant "concern" after last time I went today completely as "me". No make-up, no extra effort to get dressed up nicely. I even told her some stuff I thought I would never speak out loud to anyone but DH. We are dong some sessions on anxiety management next time (as anxiety is my current problem it seems in that is has taken over from the other stuff for a while, and she gave me some "workbooks", I think the book is called "managing anxiety". somewhere I have a list of websites she gave me to look at. ANd the big thing here is "book therapy"...). I noticed her write a number in a circle next to my name, so it seems the sessions here are limited too. It would be good if they told you that to start with.

GrimRIAper · 08/10/2009 23:25

it feels like it daisy. We have a problem tonight though - DS2 and baggins are both in our bed. Yesterday we replaced DS2s bed with a high-sleeper

Think I'll have the sofa!

DS2 got the "superstar" award at school today for being kind and helpful

baggins tripped over my feet while we were tidying his books and fell chin/throat first onto the bottom shelf of the cabinet. More bruises and a bit of blood (think he bit the inside of his mouth). He was Ok(ish) after some arnica and a recue pastille, but he hasn't been quite himself all day.

JammyOLantern · 09/10/2009 02:06

Poor Baggins, but well done Ria's DS2!!

Good luck with the nappies Daisy - but I'm sure you don't need luck, you'll be fab!

LatinDAISYcal · 09/10/2009 19:46

I've spoken to the MNer with the twins a few times in the past; I don't think there is any truth in the rumours at all; poor thing.

trace, did I not reply?

Monday is fine for me if you're still up for it. I'll fb you my address and directions, but I'm not too far from roundhay park.

Hi Trace good to see you. Hope things go well with your DD back home.

Glad the nappies arrived safely Daisy. And that DD liked the card.

I've priced up all the goods we want to try to sell tomorrow and ironed up the clothes, so just got those to price up. Better get back to it!

Sputnik · 09/10/2009 20:47

Hi Trace!
I have no idea about this woman but I find all this is she/isn't she a troll thing sickening really. If she is who cares, if she's not then what a way to treat someone. People on here really go overboard sometimes.

LittleMissNorticiaAdams · 09/10/2009 20:57

Hello, am less stressed than usual seen as its a Friday night....prboably something to do with DD being at nursery again today .

I agree Sputnik, I read some of those threads last weekend before they were deleted.

Ria - have a look here, here, here and here....as you can tell, this is my specialist subject

Daisy, I've no idea about the ADs / PMT thing as I'm still bleeding after having my coil put in 7 weeks ago!! Hope you're ok. Good luck with the nappy talk.

Found a huge credit card bill this morning and the date for it to be paid by (I always pay off in full) was last week . Bollocks bollocks and bollocks.

Ohhhh off to watch the last criminal justice.....what with Eastenders tonight, a cheery night all round!

Hello Trace

JammyOLantern · 09/10/2009 21:00
