thanks norty (BTW, that living life to the full site is the one the MHN suggested)

Am SO tired today, and have sore knees (from trudging round town I expect, nothing sordid!)

DS1 had a training day, but no lie in as one of my mum-friends is a TA at his school and her DS1 is too old for the child-minder her DS2 goes to, so she asked if we would have him before school. (I had just managed to get showered and dressed, open the blinds and shift sleeping DH off the settee when he arrived!) Took DS1 and baggins into town and to the supoermarket. It has been a long day at the end of a long week. DS1 is going to F'lingo Land tomorrow with youth group. (must check what time they are meeting before I go to bed.)

haven't read that Trace, am not much looking at other threads these days. Hope all well with you.

GrimRIAper · 10/10/2009 17:03

am I mean? DS2 was playing with the girl from down the street and I heard her tell him I was stupid and didn't know anything, to which he told her to shush cos I would hear and be cross. She then told him she didn't care 'cos I couldn't do anything as she isn't my kid , so I have told her off for behving inappropriately considering DS2 is only 5, and she was being very rude, and sent her home (in tears). I feel guilty now. But it is my house I didn't shout though or anything.

DS1 was in a pig of a mood this morning. It's a relief that he's out

my anxiety is ridiculous this afternoon. I was fine all morning - used the phone, drove DH to work, collected something from freecycle and went to the supermarket. The when I went to pick DH up from work the tiny carpark was full of motorbikes, and I parked up then realised I didn't have space to turn round if I needed to move before DH came out. I've been in a panic since. and now I'm in a tizz in case her Dad thinks I was oout of order

JammyOLantern · 10/10/2009 18:56

Hug Ria. I don't think you're mean. And try not to let the parking thing upset the rest of your day. Hey, I think a lot of folks (me included) get stressed about parking and whether we can get out easily, so don't beat yourself up about it.

Reasonably successful at the NCT sale. Sold about half our stuff and made 17.60. Spent 14.00 on other bits I wanted. The unsold stuff got taken straight to a charity shop

LatinDAISYcal · 10/10/2009 19:53

OMG Ria, what a horrible and rude (not to mention cocky!) child. Don't feel guilty about telling her off and sending her packing; I'd have done the same, and had words with her parents as well.

Feeling shite here; forgotten my Ads all week and withdrawal sypmtoms have hit big time today.....feel like I am looking at life through a long tunnle and sounds are too loud, but too muffled at the same time. fecking freaky!

blardy ebay buyer left me stinky feedback after me refunding her. She said the shoes I sold weren't new and were grubby; cheeky mare. bumble never even had them on, and i refunded her full price and return postage which is more then my return policy states. She also left me less than five stars for communication, postage and dispatch even though I posted them the following day, responded to her moan query in two hours and refunded the day I received them back and sent an email to let her know that although they had arrived they were at the post office and I wasn't allowed to pick them up for 48 hours. Fucking bitch . I only hope my other feedback will make people realise that perhaps this was a buyer problem rather than one with me as a seller.

OP posts:
GrimRIAper · 10/10/2009 20:40

Can you respond to her feedback with a summary of all that, sounds unfair to me.

well done jammy

kids mad tonight, running round like loons. DS1 is mean tto be helping tidy and is relaxed back in a chair with his mouth open (as usual) and will get his attitude on if I refuse to let him on farmville (I know, but DH said it would teach him responsibility, and he's not allowed on FB itself))

LatinDAISYcal · 10/10/2009 20:56

I've left a respnse to her comments Ria and asked her to change her feedback to reflect that I didn't quibble the refund. Odd thing though she left one negative and one neutral (she bought two things) .

Well done on the NCT stuff Jammy; always nice to clear stuff out.

FB photos lovely Ria; your boys are all gorgeous

There must be something in the air as bumble had a mad half hour before bed as well and DD has been a loon all day.

Dh has gone fishing ...nutter.

OP posts:
GrimRIAper · 10/10/2009 21:33

how odd daisy (had 2 BFs when I was at school who were into fishing. I bever quite got it)

I am tired of my kids tonight even the adorable one.

Have some more photos to put on FB, but the PC crashed while I was trying to do it. Thanks though

Have to finish my bloody assignment tonight/tomorrow too. Final tutorial tomorrow night. I will be SO glad when it's over. I don't care anymore TBH.

Sputnik · 10/10/2009 22:14

I wouldn't worry about the feedback Daisy, if I see one or two negs I usually read it and conclude the person was a nutter.

LatinDAISYcal · 10/10/2009 22:42

lol sputnik

OP posts:
LittleMissNorticiaAdams · 10/10/2009 22:53

can you buy something from her Daisy and leave her shit feedback . What a cow! Sorry you are feeling crap....hope you've taken tablets again now?

Well done Jammy on NCT sale

Ria - you are not mean!! What a little bitch! I also get very stressed about parking....especially when DH is watching / in the car....I had to admit to him the other day I'd "touched" the house when I backed up ....and when he realised it was my car (crappy punto) and not his (decent laguna) he didn't mind

Went to a huge Tesco's today with my doubled up toy vouchers....I had £60 to spend on toys.....didn't go far but got some lovely pressies . Only got the DCs main presents and my 3 nephews left to buy for now

My dad was a fisherman and loved the peace and quiet and solitude. Not many people do it now as we had real trouble finding someone who appreciated his huge collection of fishing gear.

LatinDAISYcal · 10/10/2009 22:59

I have norty and the spacey feelings are getting better, although they have made me feel really sick; can't even drink wine

am off to bed and hoping that DH doesn't wake me up when he gets back (he uses glow in the dark floats if you can believe it!!) He always seems to get frisky after he's been fishing

OP posts:
GrimRIAper · 10/10/2009 23:08

hope you get a good deep sleep daisy (I would have to bleach DH before he came anywhere near me, let alone got frisky!

'scuse the expression, but Fuck it! Guess which dozy cow has managed to lose the cover sheet that needs to be posted in with my OU stuff (have also lost the key to my lovely desk, but while considerably more important and gutting, it's not as urgent as the current problem!)

JammyOLantern · 11/10/2009 19:22

Hope everyone has had a nice day

I slept right through all night last night First time in 2 weeks or more! And today we assembled the toddler bed we were given a couple of months ago. The matress cover needed a wash and we need to get some bedding (it was raingin too much to want to go out so we stayed in and made biscuits instead) so it's not in use yet though. But we sat on it tonight for bedtime stories before Jamlet went to sleep in her cot. She didn't seem keen when we first suggested would she like a bed but now it's up in her room she seems rather more keen! I think I'm taking her shopping on Weds to pick some new bedding for it and then we'll give it a try for real...

LatinDAISYcal · 11/10/2009 19:32

Well done on the sleeping Jammy; good you are feeling better at last

We took DD shopping for new boots today as she has been living in her wellies as she only had canvas shoes left over from the summer and the weather has suddenly turned. She got some hand me downs which are half a size too big and insisted on wearing them today...and fell over her own feet and backed her nose and now looks like a clown, poor thing . Anyhoo we got her these which look fab with stripey tights and a skirt....I'm quite jealous of them in fact!!

She has gone to bed without a nappy on tonight but has been up for a wee four times in the last half hour. DH is upstairs sorting DS1 out and his patience is wearing thin as she's getting a bit savvy about using the loo as a delaying tactic, but we can't really discourage her can we?

OP posts:
LittleMissNorticiaAdams · 11/10/2009 19:58

Hehe.....my DD uses the potty as a tactic for getting down from the table! But the one time you refuse her.....

Glad you're feeling better Jammy!

JammyOLantern · 11/10/2009 20:20

Love those boots Daisy.

We took Jamlet to the horribly expensive independent shoe shop yesterday to get her dull old Clarks shoes checked now that she's had them 2 months, but they said they still fitted fine and there was no need to replace them. Good for them for being honest and postively discouraging us from spending money, I say!!

JammyOLantern · 11/10/2009 20:23

btw been meaning to ask - we bought Jamlet a 2nd hand top that comes from Next. On the sleeve it reads "Next 82". Now I've never really bought from Next, so I don't know what this means - surely it doesn't mean the top dates back to 1982 ? It so it's in remarkably good nick for being 27 years old!!

justbeme · 11/10/2009 20:58

Evening!
No its just their "logo" for certain clothes Jammy!

Daisy - I bought L those boots in pale pink this week from a shop that sells old Next Stock - they were only £12.99!! I think brown is more practical though!

Have felt crap all weekend and havent gone out today - think I have a head cold/sinus and have flounced a few times to my bed when I couldnt cope!

GrimRIAper · 11/10/2009 21:26

OMG they are big girl boots! Our babies are growing up (have been decluttering and sorted 2 bags of clothes for a mum at school - I can't work out if she is mum or gran, Gran I think, and I dont know who to ask tactfully... I am far too sentimental)

sorry you're feeling rough JBM, I am now TBH, ears, throat and head. Don't know if it's cos I've had a pig of a day witht he boys (at one point I wondered about just going out with baggins and not coming back), or because I'm anxious about my OU stuff (that I should be doing now but I'm just so tired) or my exciting new hobby that starts tomorrow!
Glad you feel better jammy.

JammyOLantern · 11/10/2009 21:44

Sorry for others now feeling rough. At least I don't think you can have caught it from me! Still coughing well here, but less so

What's the new hobby Ria? (And sorry if you've said before )

GrimRIAper · 11/10/2009 22:25

I'm going dancing!!!

LatinDAISYcal · 12/10/2009 17:58

Jammy, 1982 was the year Next was founded (remembers them reaching my hometown in 1986!) and a lot of their sportswear has the 1982 logo on it.

Dancing Ria? As in Strictly type dancing? Am very . My DH has two left feet and has stated he'd rather put hot needles under his fingernails than learn ballroom and latin dancing!

My business cards arrived today....they are flipping gorgeous...and I have another nappy demo lined up; an individual one this time

bumble can climb stairs . DD went up to the loo and I thought I had shut the gate; heard the banging and when I went to investigate (he had been playing in the downstairs hall), no bumble, gate open and him sitting grinning and playing drums with a coathanger.

He also went head first off one of the play things at gym minis this morning and landed on his head twisting his neck really awkwardly....he was really quiet for a while and I was a bit worried, but I think it was just the fright. He has been fine since.

OP posts:
JammyOLantern · 12/10/2009 19:39

I did wonder if that was the case Daisy.

Feeling worse again today Went to work but not sure if I'll be doing it tomorrow. As I was going home I was told I looked really ill, and someone who has an office right along the corridoor and round the corner heard me coughing as I went past and said "Oh, so it's you who I've heard barking all afternoon!" DH is well p'd off with me so I'm feeling doubly miserable. He is making tea though.

LatinDAISYcal · 12/10/2009 19:57

aw jammy, poor you . Why is DH p'd off? It's not as though it's your fault you're ill is it?

I have PTA bookkeeping stuff to do this evening and more disco tickets to sort out

Am watching a programme about a new nunnery in N Yorks.....broadband ready rooms, little contact with the outside world, ecologocal building with stunning views over the Vale of York.....where do I sign?

OP posts:
Psychotrace2 · 12/10/2009 20:05
