Awwwww thanks Ria

You are so clever at name changing!

GrimRIAper · 05/10/2009 22:05

I thought that too JBM, and DH said as much (though I think his DF wasn't quite so much a dog-lover as a "dog-handler" IYSWIM, but I suppose it doesn't mean DH would be daft over a dog if we got one (I know he would TBH) and doesn't mean that they didn't know a bit about them). Glad your back has eased a bit.

very very cute jammy.

have discovered tonight it is not a good idea for DS1 (having no front teeth at the top) to say "sit" or "sitting" DM was in stitches!

LittleMissNorticiaAdams · 05/10/2009 22:08

Ooooh been Xmas shopping tonight. What are you all getting your DCs? We're thinking of a small (cheap) kitchen for DD. Any suggestions?

GrimRIAper · 05/10/2009 22:08

aww thanks Norty. I think I maybe need better things to do, and should probably try harder at my bizarre OU questions ( would you believe I am having to use my SW non progress as an example because I can't think of anything more worthy or interesting)

LittleMissNorticiaAdams · 05/10/2009 22:10

I think blind dogs adapt very well. We had a golden retreiver that had cataracts and they can still find their way to food!!! Like people with sight issues, not a great idea to move things around all the time!

LittleMissNorticiaAdams · 05/10/2009 22:11

example of what?

GrimRIAper · 05/10/2009 22:11

no idea norty. my boys have a kitchen and it is their prized possession (got it 2nd hand for DS1 when he was maybe 3. best £25 I ever spent as it's till going when the tool sets have been and gone) I really shouldn't buy any more toys, though I was thinking of a Rosie and Jim boat and Ropsie and Jim if I can find one on ebay (they come up from time to time). I am mean tto be downsizing christmas this year

Sputnik · 05/10/2009 22:15

Kitchens are great. Actually Ikea do a really cute one (seeing as you have to go back anyway )

LittleMissNorticiaAdams · 05/10/2009 22:19

Oh didn't see one on Saturday.....but mind you, I did zoom around a bit quick and had a particularly whiny child!! Shall have a look in the catalogue.

Yes, that's the one Jammy, bit pricy but I think you would get good value from it, especially with 2 children. We have a pink plastic monstrosity we got "free" by virtue of consuming vast quantities of baby yogurt

Did you get the scans?

Sorry about your sleepless night, I was woken by DS at 4 and it took him 2 hours to get back to sleep.

GrimRIAper · 06/10/2009 09:10

jammy, can you take any flower remedies to ease it?

that kitchen (and the pan set) is very -making. I thik even DH would want to break his "no more toys" stance if he saw that. Thank goodness there is no IKEA here! ours is a Little Tykes one.

miserable, horrible wet and grey here today.

and had a row with DS2 about him having lsot his shoes again (when they should be on the rack by the door), and when I threw them downstairs to him one of them hit him ont he leg. I confessed to his teacher!

I am working today. I have reception from 11.45 til 1pm. I don't like having reception classes in the autumn term, they all seem so small I want to cry and take them home with me

LatinDAISYcal · 06/10/2009 10:44

I need to read more carefully, I thought jbm had said that it was the power of our kind words making her back better

We want to get DD a kitchen but they are soooo expensive. There is a really nice one in the Vertbaudet catalogue here but I' torn between getting it and objecting to the overt pinkness of it! Why pink FFS???? tis lovely though and DD gets very excited whenever she look in the catalogue!! I need Holly for discount codes though!!!

We found two boxes full of books and jigsaws in our loft the other week that DS1 got for his 3rd birthday, then we moved they were put in storage and went straigh into the attic when we moved in here . Sorts DD out though as they are ages 3 and up!

LatinDAISYcal · 06/10/2009 10:59

ah well after all that, found a code for £30 off an £80 pound spend and free delivery.

so, got the kitchen, the matching accessory set and added some knickers to take it over the £80 and paid £54 for the lot!!!! DD's Christmas, sorted

Yes it's my DD who's older. He likes all of the above really, plus anything musical. What I really need is something that is 3 for 2 on Boots as they have the Playmobil set DD wants.

JammyOLantern · 06/10/2009 17:48

Love that kitchen Daisy. Jamlet will have to be content with her slightly broken charity shop one though.

Had day in London at a seminar thingy. Thought it would be really dull (Radioactivity and the Law) but was actually very interesting. How dull am I?

OK, Jamlet now and DH now coming homw so better go. Back later I hope!

Sorry to say it but he's not such a doofus Batterfly. X rays are a type of radiation, but once the machine is switched off there is no radiation - the machine is not radioactive in itself it just is capable of producing radiation. But something like radium, uranium, plutonium, whether you are activelt using it or it's just sitting on a shelf, it is always giving off radiation. The substance itself is radioactive.
