I've FB'd you

Ohforfoxsake · 17/01/2010 13:29

Thanks Norty, you know how I hate to feel left out

yes, I see. very awkward.

Ohforfoxsake · 17/01/2010 13:30

awkward? you know how you look at a word and it doesn't look right....

Blimey Trace, you're going to be a Nana?! Congratulations! How lovely

LittleMissNorty · 17/01/2010 13:31

well its looks.....awkward

well lets have a look at the £135 shoes then so we can drool

Ohforfoxsake · 17/01/2010 13:57

I want these ones www.peeptoeshoes.com.au/item/miss-buckingham--nude-silk

LittleMissNorty · 17/01/2010 15:17

god they're fab. Would you seriously be able to wear those all day?

I bought a lovely pair of satin shoes with beads etc embroidered all over - cost an absolute fortune - and as soon as the service was over, when the photos were being done, I got the comfy ones out. They are still in a box upstairs, untouched for the past 5 years

Ohforfoxsake · 17/01/2010 16:10

I have some in a similar style and have no problem wearing them. A wide heel makes them much more comfortable than a stiletto.

I can't find what I'm looking for anywhere

TALLULAHBELLE · 17/01/2010 17:05

Haven't really caught up yet, just marking my spot. DD's all at the GP's, just been collected. I have sooooo much to do but hoping to get back & chat later.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 17/01/2010 17:16

You call that awide heel?

LittleMissNorty · 17/01/2010 17:41

sounds like a bubble bath and glass of wine is in order T

Oh g'on Foxy....just get them.....its not every day you get married is it? I think it was at the florists that I first though, oh fuck it

My DS is screaming and rolling around on the floor inconsolable. I have given him neurofen but cannot comfort him . Is this just stroppiness / new thing or should I call the doctor? How does a baby react when they have a headache? Its horrible . When he does it in his cot, she smacks his head against the side of the cot but this is the first time he's done it during the day

LittleMissNorty · 17/01/2010 17:47

I think its temper, but just don't want to miss anything.

thistimeIknowitstheRiathing · 17/01/2010 19:09

don't know norty, sorry hope he is OK

thistimeIknowitstheRiathing · 17/01/2010 19:11

foxy, very pretty, but very scary!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 17/01/2010 19:41

Sorry Norty, not sure. Hope he sorts out soon though for all your sakes.

Foxy, sorry had to post and run earlier. Those shoes are SO not my style, I doubt I could stand in them, let alone wear them for any length of time or walk in them! But they are nice if that's your sort of shoe.

CharlottesClan · 17/01/2010 20:30

sorry foxy, thought you would have worked it out ;)

hell of a few days for me, been in tears over alot of it, as i feel a bit, i dunno, betrayed? which is silly, but then i do let things get to me i should just ignore. thing is not one person has told me im in the wrong, yet i feel like everyone is saying it behind my back.
paranoid? moi?

hope all is ok norty. if it helps ds1 tantrums were like that, and he rarely has them as bad now.
know what you mean about being worried something is wrong, when they have tempers like that its really hard to tell the difference sometimes.

foxy had a look for shoes but i wasnt getting much up. whats it for?

justbeme · 17/01/2010 20:45

Wow you lot have been chatty!!
Off to catch up.....

justbeme · 17/01/2010 20:56

No , CC, I'm stumped too!!

Foxy in my local BHS last week - they had all wedding stuff REALLY cheap - ie adult bridesmaid silky dresses £10, satin shoes £5, wedding tights, wedding dresses etc. Might be worth a look at a BHS?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 17/01/2010 21:10

I think I know who CC might be (guessing from info on her MN profile). But I may well be wrong.

Had miserable afternoon. DH putting a chest of drawers together for Jamlet and the air was blue and the mood was definitely grumpy! All cheered up now thankfully though.

Mum is now bored in hospital so must be on the mend. She says they put a little tube in her bile dut to keep it open to help let the last couple of stones out that they hadn't managed to break up. She was meant ot come off the drips today but no doctors rounds so she's still hooked up, and no visitors still and not even a trolley selling papers etc

CharlottesClan · 17/01/2010 21:44

i have three kids 3, 2 and 6 months, used to be a hippy

sorry your mum is having a hard time in hospital jammy, my dh felt the same when he went in for his op, as did i when i was stuck there for three days after DS1. hope she is ok and not too fed up

DH's op confirmed for the 9th feb today.. very scary as proper open surgery this time.

justbeme · 17/01/2010 22:39

Got it!!

Just watched Secret Millionaire in the Slums of India - very sad.

Had my 20 week scan on friday - all's well. Still can't quite believe it's really happening though!!

Hope your Mum is ok soon Jammy.

thistimeIknowitstheRiathing · 17/01/2010 22:59

well done JBM do you know what colour you've got?

CC, I know who you are now, but I don't know what issues you've had (and I don't want to), but I can totally identified with letting things get to you. I am in pieces over my friends break-up, she is only giving enough info to make it seem that her partner is in the wrong and has "left" under her own steam. Unfortunately for her we are in contact with her partner too, who is in pieces, didn't expect this and has to collect the rest of their stuff while friend is out and post key through letterbox. It is real car crash TV and I wish I indulged in plain speaking. I am going to take a step back I think as she certainly doesn't seem to need my sympathy and support.

It's been a long hard day, DS1 has a tummy bug. DH a bit grumpy when he got in from work.

Glad your mum is on the mend jammy. what kind of cake are you making? In the hospital MIL was in when she had her stroke (which became a not-stroke as soon as she was home), she could have her own pull-down TV and phone etc. not sureif there was internet access.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 18/01/2010 06:39

Glad things are all OK JBM, 29 weeks already

Ria, hope things are better today. I made a 10-inch-square fruit cake, using the recipe I used for our Christmas cake (Delia's light glace fruit cake) and doubling up the ingrendients. Only it seems they only sell angellica pre-Xmas, so had to put some papaya in instead, but sure that won't matter. Hope it's OK, the outside looks slightly over-brown, maybe I should have put an extra layer of paper round the tin towards the end? Too late now though.

LittleMissNorty · 18/01/2010 09:01

Blimey JBM - half way . Do you know the flavour?

Been up nearly all night with E - HFM is playing havoc with his sleeping pattern. He's gone back to bed now but I can't

CharlottesClan · 18/01/2010 10:25

NBM, cant believe ur halfway already. mind you cant believe charlie is sitting up now

sorry you had a bad night norty, our night wasnt great and neither was daisys by he sounds of it! something in the air me thinks.

starting the new diet today, as well as taking garlic, probiotics and the pills doc gave me. wish me luck!

actually i was quite shocked at my doctor (previously very supportive) suggested i gave up breastfeeding as 'most parents stop at 6 months'
well i put her in her place i can tell you!

CharlottesClan · 18/01/2010 10:26

JBM even.. slippy fingers
