Happy birthday to me and to Rebecca
We're celebrating for Q today by taking him to the london aquarium and out to lunch. Presents before we go I can't believe he's 1 year old!
My ears do that occasionally, too, myjob. I'm getting fed up with it tbh. I can't hear properly when it happens in my class gets away with murder!

yes, hmm was wondering the same - what time from and to csws?

50ftQueenie · 03/10/2009 07:58

Myjob - Boys are quite prone to nightmares. DS still has them but they don't bother him too much. My ear is more annoying than anything else, it doesn't hurt at all.

M managed until 6am in her cot! Maybe her teeth have calmed down, she is getting four through it would appear.

Star - Happy Birthday and enjoy your day celebrating both birthdays.

50ftQueenie · 03/10/2009 08:01

Star - My ears get blocked all the time & when I smoked I thought fair enough. But now I've stopped it's terribly unfair. When I used to work in Crown Court, my ears once got so blocked that I couldn't hear anything. I had to get a colleague to come in with me to tell me what was going on!

star6 · 03/10/2009 08:03

I wonder what it is? I've never smoked. I'm not sure why it happens. I tried the ear wax drops - but it's not that because it doesn't help - and I clean my ears really well!! I also tried swimmer's ear drops in case water was trapped but that didn't help either.

aubergenie · 03/10/2009 09:41

Happy birthday Star! Have a great day. I've never been to the London Aquarium before. We were thinking that it might be fun for S.

HMM - Dp takes S to messy play at one of the children's centres and he loves it!

We've got dp's parents coming later on today. We've got to finish cleaning and make S's birthday cake. And I've got to buy the sand for S's sand pit. And I've got a load of marking to do. Ugggh.

I was right there with you myjob. Feed from 4-4:30, and then up at 5:25. I gave him to dh just after 6:30 (he was in spare room as he'd come to bed v late after sleeping on the sofa all evening whilst I was out), and then apart from feeding dd and a couple of other visits from her I got to stay in bed til 8:30. Ds has now been asleep since 9:45, whilst dd and I have been to ballet.

Happy birthday star .
Happy birthday rebecca too.

You are welcome to come as early as you like and stay til as late as you like next weekend. Fit your travel around when suits your babies best . I'll do something flexible foodwise so that people can eat at lunch or dinner time, or anywhere in between! Do remind me if any of you are still avoiding any food groups. Obv meat for hmm and star. I could make something that I made for mm the other week which you veggies should enjoy. And then I might roast some chickens and do a load of salad and new potatoes as well. All nice and simple and will keep just fine .
hmm - you are welcome to stay over here if you want to, on either the Friday or Saturday night, as you prefer. We are going to friends for lunch on Sunday, so would need to kick you out mid-morning though.

Why are men so stupid? DH decided it would be a good idea to play a game of rolling around on the bed and throwing M on the bedcovers, just before bed. He then dumped her on my lap said goodnight and buggered off downstairs. So I have spent 45 mins trying to get an over-tired, over stimulated M to go to sleep. What a genius plan! I have told him to sort it out which won't work as I M will only settle for me. But at least I get a little 'time out'.

Hello Had a fantastic day out Q LOVED the aquarium... loved running around everywhere and looking in all of the big windows... it was so much fun! Then Pizza Express for dinner (even though we brought Q's dinner - he had a bit of pizza, too!).

We're having cupcakes with friends tomorrow and DH taking me for a nice dinner (but with Q even though I offered to fnd a sitter... ).

star6 · 03/10/2009 20:19

Happy birthday to S tomorrow aubergenie

Honeymoonmummy · 03/10/2009 20:49

Thanks very much CSWS, I'm going downstairs to have a chat to DH about it now, not had chance to speak about it with the party today.

Aww sorry 50ft but now I know your DH I can't stop chuckling at the thought of him and M rolling around having fun! Pops has realised that if she lifts her legs up in the air then slams them down on the bed she can make herself wobble. She thinks this is great, and obviously this is most effective when in one's sleeping bag at nighttime

I'm glad you had such a nice birthday Star and happy birthday to S for tomorrow

God, I bet by the time Pops turns 1/ starts walking, you'll be like "yeah, whatever, well done [bored]"

The party was great fun, except I went in head to toe clown-ery and all the other adults were fairly sedately dressed, e.g. bears ears on their heads and that was it. I had a couple of kids following me round tho, they weren't even part of the party! Everyone said my costume was the best anyway [competitive emoticon] Oh and Pops looked fairly nice too.

Ha ha ha! Hmm - fabulous that you were dressed up in full costume! I bet the kids loved you though. DH used to be Father Christmas every year at the nursery Christmas party and one year I thought it would be good to dress up as Mother Christmas, especially as some of the nursery staff said they'd dress up too. I had a long zip-up fleece jacket (it was dressed shaped) that was red with a white trim. I wore that, some white tights and my sparkly red shoes. I turned up and NOBODY else had dressed up. I felt such a twat that I got DH to take me home so I could get changed! And yes that is exactly how the pre-bed time 'fun' went. I think at this rate P will be walking before lazy lazy M too!

Star - Glad you had a lovely day. Hope tomorrow is just as fun.

Happy Birthday for tomorrow S.

We went to a birthday party today. M seemed to have fun with the other children but genuinely not as much fun as she had at Warwick Castle. She swiped a couple of jaffa cakes (I suspect DH let her have them) and loved them. Surprise surprise, my daughter likes chocolate.

Honeymoonmummy · 03/10/2009 22:56

Ha ha MM. We should maybe come to CSWS's in fancy dress and compare costumes? It wasn't all that bad actually, a lot of the kids were in fancy dress and the party boy's mum and dad were too.

Poppy sat down at the party and the first thing she grabbed was a marshmallow! Bearing in mind I NEVER give her cakes, it's a wonder she's asleep! Mind you, she was up so much last night, I can see the swollen gum now so hopefully the tooth will break thro soon cos we all need the sleep! Does anyone still rub whiskey on the gums or is that a complete no-no now?? [fears that someone will call social services emoticon]

Awww thanks MyJob, you always know the right thing to say x

DH is reluctant to commit to next Sat cos he might have a lot of work on in the coming week, so I need to have a think about coming alone with Pops.

I have indeed got photos Pistachio. Love your wedding pics
