lol at you not knowing that you could add to your order aubergenie. I normally go back in about 5 times to add stuff that I've forgotten!

Eek at 40 people pistachio! Not having a big one here as we'll do that for his Christening, which I guess will be next spring now (was going to be this spring but the fire put paid to that).

myjob - of course we'll miss you. We'll find another date for you all to come up again with a bit more notice.

And of course we'll be celebrating M's birthday too MM!

Dashing about lots today so gotta run!

Happy birthday Q!! flying visit as usual while i have 5 mins to check emails etc. Hope you are all well

Well done on the walking/talking front.

Joe can just about stand on his own for a few seconds and took 2 shuffle steps yesterday as he was trying to pass me something. Had his feet measured last week - he's a 4H already. DS1 was still in size 2 shoes when he started walking at 15 months. The shop assistant said he may need specially made shoes as he has a very high instep/arch - brilliant as if £30 odd quid for Clarks shoes isn't bad enough!!! None of DS1's shoes will fit him either as he's an F fitting. I kept several pairs of his shoes that he barely wore (I know you're not supposed to give them 2nd hand shoes but DS1 was in one pair about 3 times before they were too small!!) - they are now useless. maybe Joe will have to go barefoot til he's at school..

50ftQueenie · 02/10/2009 14:51

Hi Loulou. DS first shoes were a 4H and he was only 11 months when he got them. He too has a very high instep (like his mummy) and we've not had too much trouble with shoes so far. Boots are difficult, for both of us! His feet were a 12G last time they were measured so Joe's may slim down as he gets older. Clarks shoes are sized differently to other children's shoes and I found Start-rite shoes easier for DS. They have a website with a guide to measuring feet at home. Oh wow! Look at those lace up boots they would look SO cute with a little dress and thick woolly tights. Come on M! Start walking!

Oh yes indeed I will be awful won't I?! Eeeek! I have already decided that M needs, yes needs a pair of Converse, a pair of boots and some Mary Janes (like these). Oh and a pair of party shoes. I think I might need to start doing the lottery.

One of my friends has got back to me so I am feeling a bit better about it all.

50ftQueenie · 02/10/2009 15:55

Damn it I must have accidentally become obsessed with those little boots. I meant these.

KSal · 02/10/2009 16:31

MM i have a pair of mary janes just like those... but for me rather than Emma

needless to say i approve

50ftQueenie · 02/10/2009 16:32

That is probably why I like them KSal, I could see myself in a pair.........

50ftQueenie · 02/10/2009 17:44

Hmmm..... I need you to shout at me and tell me I'm being silly. I had a phone call from my doctor (at LAST!) but we didn't manage to get to the phone in time as the phone in the kitchen is knackered. He left a message saying "There's nothing to worry about, my secretary will contact you next week". Now, I don't find that particularly reassuring to be honest. DH is of the opinion that it means everything is A-OK but I'm not so sure. He didn't say everything is fine or the scan was clear, just "there's nothing to worry about". He said that when he told me that the cyst was borderline. I tried calling back but no answer. Am I being silly?

50ftQueenie · 02/10/2009 18:31

Thanks Myjob. My very wise and lovely mummy just pointed out that he probably meant nothing to worry about that he was calling me as he was calling to apologise. That actually makes sense. Which again seems to me like it's all fine if his secretary is calling me in the week. That will probably be just to make a further appointment to see him as planned in November.

50ft - It's horrible to have to wait until next week, but I would have thought that it means isn't anything serious. If it was, they'd be asking you to call back as soon as possible and getting you booked up for an appointment. Plus, I would have thought they'd have got back to you before now as they've got so many targets to hit re cancer in particular. Also they wouldn't leave any actual information about results on an phone message because of patient confidentiality, even if the results are good.

Honestly, that online shopping thing is a revelation to me! I've gone back a couple of times and added things to my order. I had no idea you could amend it. And I've been shopping online for yearS.

star6 · 02/10/2009 20:17

csws I'm going to tell DH that your house is only 45 minutes away (it's 1hr 10 min) so he won't be able to say it's "too far" for Q to travel!

ronshar · 02/10/2009 21:51

Happy birthday to Quinlan. & also to you Star for tomorrow. I hope you have a great time with DH & Q tomorrow.

CSWS can you fb your address to me please. I would love to come up but will have to see about times etc. DDs have gym am & a Brownies swimming gala thing at 6pm. I may be able to leave them with DH and have an away day
.

50ft. Now young lady we talked about this the other day. (ronshar has her hands on her hips) The doctor would never have left a message if he needed to give you news. He would have phoned back. I would breathe a sigh of relief for now.

Myjob N is fabulous. The best things come in small packages.

ronshar · 02/10/2009 21:55

Just in case I dont get time this weekend then happy birthday to Rebecca and Stanley for Saturday and Sunday.

Hmm thats hopeful news about your dad.

It is Dh birthday tomorrow. We have got friends round so have to spend the day cleaning the house
W has just started shouting all the time. An old man asked me to keep him quiet in Sainsbury because he couldnt concentrate on which meat he wanted for his dinner

ronshar · 02/10/2009 21:56

Hmm I have just seen the old thread Brilliant

50ftQueenie · 02/10/2009 22:06

Ronshar - Fabulous about the old man and the meat! Heh heh! Was he being serious? Thank you again for reassuring me. I needed a good Ronshar telling off. It would be great to see you again at CSWS's, especially as W's birthday is so close too. Hope you have a lovely day tomorrow and don't work too hard cleaning.

Aubergenie - I did think that he wouldn't be allowed. I will officially stop worrying now and maybe do a little jig of joy!

Hmm - I'm rubbish, I must have missed the news about your Dad. I'll go back and look in a minute.

Myjob - It is a shame you won't be able to make it to CSWS's. Enjoy your holiday, I hope the weather's good for you.

50ftQueenie · 02/10/2009 22:11

Hmm - Found it. That is good news. Fingers crossed for him on Wednesday.

Night ladies.

50ftQueenie · 02/10/2009 22:43

I have dodgy ears too Myjob. I think I have an inner ear infection as I am deaf in one ear and keep feeling dizzy.

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/10/2009 22:45

Hello .
Been to a Pampered Chef party, so just on quick before I go to bed.
Will message you now ronshar before I forget.

Honeymoonmummy · 02/10/2009 23:41

Hey all, 50ft even before I read Aubergenie's post I was thinking the same, there's no way a doc will leave details on an answerphone msg due to patient confidentiality. I'm a big believer in not tempting fate but I don't think you should worry too much

I've just watched the first prog of a series on channel 5 (the first thing I've watched on that channel for years!). It's called Fast Forward, the first in the series (one of the Fiennes is in it hubba hubba) and it was really good but it was a suspense/ thriller type thing, but due to the PND I've not been able to watch anything scary so I now have the scary-TV threshold of a 5 year old. DH is in bed and I don't want to sleep in there cos he's snoring but on the other hand he might protect me if there's an intruder... (however, he might not, he's not exactly the protector type bless 'im) I'm gonna sleep in the nursery with Pops instead. She'll protect me

I've had a bad PND day again today, my dad (who has a lot of experience with AD's) reckons I'm effectively on nothing while the old AD is out of my system and the new one hasn't kicked in yet. I think they need to up the dose of the new AD, I've been on it 2 weeks now and the doc said it would be 1-2 weeks. My knees are still aching and I'm so irritable.

A fellow tutor rang DH this morning to tell him on the QT that he was being internally assessed on Mon or Weds (nothing untoward, they all get it) so there goes our weekend, he's been working most of the day today) He's coming to the party tomorrow though.

Oh I did messy play with Poppy before for first time and it was soooo much fun! It was washable paint and I was slightly worried when the huggies wipes didn't remove what looked like an all-over body tattoo from her (I was considering taking her to fancy dress tomorrow as Biker Girl), but thankfully it came off after 2 baths and a bit of veg soap.

It's our first 1st birthday party tomorrow! How did this happen??? Am looking forward to it though. My clowns outfit is nearly complete, I just have to sew (yes, sew!) some pom-poms onto my waistcoat

Right, i'm going to check under the bed, night all!

Honeymoonmummy · 02/10/2009 23:43

Oh and of course, happy birthday Q!

I mentioned coming to the party to DH CSWS but didn't really get a straight reply. I'm gonna research some handy stop-over places, probably halfway home, then re-approach.
