Am back, party great. Am now exhhausted and collapsing.

Will be along shortly to read and inform. x

moosemama · 03/10/2009 20:11

Well done alpha mum. Glad the party went well, looking forward to hearing all about it.

Thanks Dog am getting quite excited about it now. Been looking at woodlands online today, couldn't have a horse as we couldn't afford anything local. Everyone on the other thread thought it was a great idea and said to go for it, but noone came up with any ideas or suggestions.

Think I might post in the craft section about crocheting.

VeryHungryLennipillar · 03/10/2009 21:44

Hello!! Almost there with work.

Yay for nappies Elkie! I'll happily shoulder some of the blame, so long as news takes some too

I'm definately going to sell my ittis I think and buy some secondhand BBSS to replace them. If anyone is in need you lot can have first dibs. Need to hunt down some BBSS first though so prob be a week or so before ready to sell.

All okay here apart from work related stress, DS and DD having a rocky patch again with a lot of jealousy, I'm guessing this love/hate thing will last a lifetime. When they are getting on they are so lovely, but then she gets jealous and there is a lot of stropping and hoarding toys etc. Someone tell me it gets easier?

Hello, few minutes of calm here as DD is at tescos with DH and DS has finally gone to sleep. He is a complete grump-ass in the mornings from about 9.15am onwards. Oh, we have gone back to 2 wakings at night.............please walk soon or I will be in danger of snoozing at the wheel or something. He has also decided since last weekend that there is no way on earth that I am allowed to give him a bottle. Nursery can and MIL or DH can, but me.......No chance!! Suprisingly the boobs are keeping up with this pretty well, not leaking whilst I'm at work etc.. Feel like its a bit of a backward step though!

Dog-are you better? Sorry you didn't get out.

Lenni- How is the Bfing going at your end? We are having very similar 'posession battles' going on here. DS used to ignore it but now gets very upset if she takes something out of his hands.

Moose- ceremony ideas sound lovely and crochet is a great idea, I'm sure there are loads of people on here that do it.

News, glad the party went well for you and J.

Hi Tink, sorry to hear about your early mornings!

Shopping accident yesterday but a mild one. Bought winter coat from sainsburys!! I really liked it and was 25% off so got for £42, total bargain. Also it was a size 12 so chuffed! Also bought some lovely sleepsuits for DS and a few butterfly bits for DD's new room. Am loving these colder nights as I got out his velour sleepsuits from La Redoute, they are adorable and he is so warm and cuddly in the night. If only i didn't have to see him so often.

Ahem, dog are you forgetting that my DC's had teeth at 16 weeks??? thats stilltechnically NB right?

Sorry you are feeling a bit sad about babies, it natural at the moment I think with Ilsa coming on leaps and bounds. Why not just concentrate on the DC's for the moment and then leave it with DP that is you still want another it will be in a couple of years. Could kind of be one last fling with motherhood or something! This is what I've said to DH as he is so negative about there being a number 3. We still ought to sort out some contraception though I suppose, need something for at least 2/3 years so looking at the implant. DH has said he definatly does not want the snip as he can see me wanting another when these 2 are at school.

Funniest quote of the day from DD 'mum can you have another baby' 'Maybe one day DD, would you like another?' 'Yes but can you have a girl this time?' 'Maybe, would you like a sister?' 'Yes, and then we could get rid of Daddy'!!!!!!!!.
I'm not quite sure what she meant, but twas hilarious nonetheless.
Your hair will be fine Dog, oh and did you still want to stay at mine in he half term?????? We are meant to be moving in on the 22nd now so should be ok for the following week if you still wanted to?
Sorry, just realised people had gone a bit quite on the meet-up front. Missj, Lenni???You still about? Are we aiming for Bristol?

Oh, and talking of bittersweet moments with PLB's today Z took an unaided step. He looked so bloody pleased with himself, but would not do it again for love nor money. Err, if he can wait till at least 9 mths old that would be good!

PatTheHammer · 04/10/2009 16:26

Oh sorry just realised I changed Isla's name to Ilsa.......wasn't she in Home and away a few yeasr ago???

PatTheHammer · 04/10/2009 16:26

years what is wrong with me!!!

VeryHungryLennipillar · 04/10/2009 21:00

DS is also waking twice a night atm Pat - at midnight and again about 4 or 5am. He's definately teething, but not grumpy just fussing when feeding in the day and at night. Plus he seems to have dropped his mid morning and mid afternoon breastfeeds. Down to first thing, lunchtime, late afternoon and bedtime now plus one or (usually) two in the night. Don't think that has helped with sleep as he's just catching up during the night instead of getting enough in the day. He stands now, but no unaided steps, my DD walked at 9mo, I don't think DS will be that quick. TBH it would be a blessing if he walked now, carrying them both is hard work and it would be a real help to be able to set him down from time to time.

Size 12 - well done! Still a size 16 here, or a 14 when I'm lucky. I'm gradually losing weight still but not really dieting anymore, I found I was losing 7lbs in a week when I dieted and getting really strung out and tired - it wasn't healthy. I think I need to finish bf before I really try to lose weight, it's coming off slowly anyway so am making the most of not having to diet for once. I'm about 5lbs lighter now than before I was pregnant which is nice, just another couple of stone to go

Still on for 29th - why did we decide Bristol again? Was it for someone other than Dog? If Dog is staying with you Pat we could maybe do Forest of Dean and be a bit less of a journey? Can't remember if there was someone Bristol way though??

Dog - once I've found some Blueberrys the ittis are yours!

Moose - try "Stitch and Bitch Crochet" or title to that effect. I learnt to crochet from that book, and to knit from the knitting one. Better still find a knitting/crocheting group locally - there are usually loads about that meet for a cup of tea during the day in cafes and knit together. Sounds very odd but not lots of old people like you'd imagine, a mixture ime. It is far easier to learn to knit and crochet with someone to help you than from a book - particularly if you are thinking of making it a paying hobby. Also evening courses around here for crafts - might be worth looking into.

I had a shopping accident too - I blame Tink - bought this for DS with a £10 off when you spend £30 voucher, and then realised you could use the voucher as many times as you like to bought this and this too for DD That's my spending done for the month already then!

I love the second one too Dog - and the girl in the picture reminds me of Beth

VeryHungryLennipillar · 04/10/2009 21:27

I have 8 ittis - chocolate, light blue (my favourite, matches DS's eyes!), royal blue, orange, green, purple and two tiger print ones. Let me know which you think you'll want - not sure on price, you probably know better than me what secondhand are going for atm.

Lenni.....I Lurveeeeeee that snowsuit! What size did you get for DS?? I am looking for Z at the moment and quite like the polartec ones from Jojomaman but this is much cuter! Also what is the code if I may be cheeky can you FB it to me?? Dresses adorable too. I have just bought some funky stripey tights for DD and some robot t-shirts for DS from Vertbaudet using £15 discount found on mumsnet, hurrah!
Think MissJ is easier for Bristol, but Forest of Dean would be lovely for the 29th as there are some great places to meet.
Well done on your weightloss too! I will only really feel like progress when size 12 trousers and skirts fit again though, suppose a coat is a start! Wanted to wear it out this afternoon when I took the kids out for a walk by the canal, but DH pointed out it was boiling. Will hope for colder weather tomorrow.

Dog- fine to stay with us! You may have to help unpack though. We will have no new sofa by then but I am hoping our bed will have come, if so then our present double will be in the playroom/spare room and you and Mr.A could sleep in there with bebe in travel cot and DD1 could bunk down with my DD in room next door in ready bed??? We live about 25mins further than Bristol, long drive for you, bout 3 hours or something but just think of all the great people you will meet (well me and Lenni and MissJ so far!!!).

Two more single steps from the Z this evening, both when DH tempting him with the remote control

Night Dog, it is fine I promise.......As long as you tell A that 5am doesn't exist in my house

VeryHungryLennipillar · 04/10/2009 22:24

12-18 months Pat - he's pretty much grown out of 9-12 months now and need it to fit over winter. Voucher code was passed on from a friend, XNHT I think but will check. Bristol still fine with me if easier for Dog/MissJ.

Lol at you wearing your coat when boiling! I have a new knitted tunic I bought recently that I keep trying to wear with my new ugg boots, not a good look in the heat!

Dog - they are size large. Is that ok?

missjackson · 04/10/2009 23:35

Hi all. Got back from wedding this afternoon and have been unpacking, sorting, cleaning etc, but will post properly tomorrow.

Lenni we have that snowsuit! Same size too. Slightly too big now but should be perfect for winter. Pat boden guideline is 12kg for 12-18 months I think, so am sure Z would be same.

meetup F of D great for me, same distance and no bridge toll . Did we say 29th? Any day fine though. Too exciting if dog and pups come too! Anyone else?

missjackson · 04/10/2009 23:40

stripey thank you, thank you, thank you for NCSS which was waiting for me on my return. From flicking through, am not sure it is the miracle cure I am hoping for, but very realistic.... and makes me feel entirely better about my approach . Will keep you updated. Fingers crossed.

SparkleandShine · 05/10/2009 07:08

morning bookmarking, not caught up yet!

Christening was super, weather lovely had the party in the garden. Everyone said dress lovely!! James looked great in the emile et rose suit and DS1 was in monsoon velvet trousers and waistcoat.... lovely!

VeryHungryLennipillar · 05/10/2009 08:47
