Happy Birthday Dylan!!

FT-Awww so cute about the horse and towel, Shannons speaking has come on in volumes, aan she repeats every single thing we say.

Leonie got up at 6.40 this morning with Shannon and fed her and they watched tv, then my freind came around 12 and took them with her, bless her. Rich is going to collect Shannon after work and Leonies DF is picking her up from my friends.
TMI I know but just been to the loo for the first time, it was awful, like giving birth So glad that its over with though!

I so want to get on with my assignments but aren't able to, I keep going dizzy and nearly passed out last night, not sure why, suppose I just need to keep resting grr

strawberrylace · 30/10/2009 15:07

happy birthday dylan! hope you have a great day xx

LisaLessLumpy · 30/10/2009 20:24

NC - hope you start to feel better soon x

I am so excited, I bought the potty into the lounge last night and thought I would start introducing Ben to it, no pressure, just see how he is with it.

He sat on it a few times last night with his nappy on and read his book and then this morning I got him to sit on it without a nappy which he did, but didn't do any wees.

Then mid morning I put him some pull up pants on, I was on the laptop and I looked up to see him sat on it, I thought he would have his nappy on still, but he hadn't, he had pulled them down of his own accord and done the tiniest of wees, but I am just so surprised he did it of his own accord. and all of a sudden he keeps telling me when he has done a wee in his nappy and he wants it changing.

I made a big song and dance out of it and he was so excited aswell :D
This evening he has kept sitting on it and trying to do one and he managed another tiny dribble :D

I think I may keep it like this for a few weeks see what happens and if he is really taking to it I will do the full on training bit over Xmas.

Dalrymps · 30/10/2009 21:55

Thanks for all the birthday wishes ladies

Dylan's had a great day. He got lots of lovely presents and a nice little family party at tea time.

His 'big' present off us was a handy manny talking figure with all the tools, he loves it!

My mil very kindly provided most of the buffet food to help out as 'i'm pregnant' and made the cake. I ordered a handy manny cake topper for it and it looked fab

Litle man is snoozing away now. I kept thinking all day about what stage of labour I would have been in 2 years ago... It's so crazy that he's 2 now, I can remember it all like it was yesterday

Will catch up properly when am less tired.

NC - Hope going to the toilet gets better soon. Have they given you somthing like lactulose? Are your painkillers strong enough? Make sure you keep resting, hope you feel better soon.

LLL - Great news on the potty!

Dylan did a 'birthday poo' on the floor this morning . Since he's been a bit constipated we've been putting him on the potty when we can to do a poo as it's easier for him to go in that position. Anyway, we had the potty ready today when he was showing signs but he just pushed all of a sudden then shouted 'stones' lol, he thinks his poo's are stones

Les - Sorry you've been having a rough time lately, hope things improve soon and that the new school is better.

Off to chill with dh now, back soon x

FloriaTosca · 30/10/2009 22:11

LLL; that is fabulous! Really wonderful that he is so keen

NC I hope you are feeling a bit more comfortable..I believe the worst is over now you have had the ...er...1st attempt

We have had a bit of a rubbish day...missed the halloween party because Alex threw back his breakfast (he's not been sick since he was a tiny baby)and was running a low fever....he has been clingy all day and off his food and having restless 30min mini naps so was utterly exhausted at 7pm, passed out 15mins later but woke crying for me at 9, he just kept saying he "hurts Mummy!" but couldnt tell me where [worried and frustrated emoticon]...temp up to 39/102...Gave him Calpol and cuddled him back to sleep but it is a restless sleep so I think it might be a rough night ahead....Being a Mum isn't easy sometimes is it?

NC - hope you're feeling a bit better
Dal - glad Dylan had a fab birthday
LLL - that's great re: the potty, have given up with DS now for a while as he's not be interested in the potty (unless you read him loads of books while he sits there)
FT - hope you manage to get a good night, and that Alex is feeling better soon

Hello to everyone xxxx

Dalrymps · 30/10/2009 23:13

Floria - Hope Alex doesn't sleep too badly tonight and that he feels better soon. It's so worrying when you're not sure what's wrong, sure he'll be fine though.

Strawberry - Thanks, hope you're doing ok x

I know it's late but have added a few birthday pics on fb if anyone fancies a look.

Night all x

NeedCoffee · 31/10/2009 13:38

Hi Ladies

LLL-great News with the potty hope it wasn't a fluke.

FT-poor Alex and poor you, how was he last night and is he today? Hope he slept it off last night.

Dal-Glad Dylan had a good day(and you) you big softy I just remember pain when I think of the day I gave birth. So nice of MIL to help out LOL at birthday poo-yes I've got lactulose and disgusting fibregel, will share with Dylan if you like!

Hi Strawberry-hows things?

WWAJC-Hows things with you? Hope you're doing okay x

LES-have a fab party tonight, wish I was coming

Still in a lot of pain, would probably be okay with just the localised pain but keep needing the toilet and daren't go cos it hurts soooo much But scared I end up constipated, oh the joys of having children-wish I'd never had the op done though and just coped with the inconvenience of having them. Oh drugs are kicking in now, so going to end up tallking rubbish if I stick around. Love to all x

herjazz · 31/10/2009 23:11

quick hello off me

happy boxing birthday to dylan (sorry I'm late!) pics are gorge

WWAJC - sorry to read of yr mares. Hope things are settling down and you are ok

jealous of halloween parties and fun. I feel like shite - birrova cacky chest thing going on

NC - have just skimmed but have the grapes of wrath gone? It'll be worth it. My dh had that done a few months ago - he needed BED REST and waiting on for 2 days it was so bad (! oh he dined out on it) The way he walked made me think of dodgy prison shower scenes

hello and big wave to everyone else

Hi All

Inzi; Glad Janes party went well. Well done on the cake making...hope she is better and enjoys the 'actual' big day tomorrow.

NC Hope you are getting better too...I have to say that what you are describing sounds exactly how I felt after having Alex and needing all those stitches.. you have all my sympathy....

Herjazz;I hope the cacky chest thing gets better soon too...Snap!I've got the same thing: Fun isn't it?

Thanks for the well wishes for Alex...he has given me a horrendous weekend sleepwise. The temp was up and down like a yoyo all weekend, his temper was on the shortest of fuses, he wouldn't eat(screaming fot "milk" all the time)wouldn't nap for more than 30 mins despite being exhausted, and Fri night he got me up 7 times, Saturday 5 times and 3 times last night (after a 1hr fight to get him to go to bed at all!) and after all that was it 'swine flu' or 'measles' or any other serious virus? No, he is teething!!! (he finally took my hand and shoved my finger in his mouth asking me to 'rub it better'on Sunday afternoon)...Oh and the lack of sleep seems to be impeding my immune system because the viral thing I started with last Sunday and which appeared to be in retreat has regrouped and hit the throat and chest big time.... oh the joys of mother hood!!!!!!!

Happy birthday Jane!

Skinsl - for 2nd birthday we went out for lunch and had my parents round for birthday tea & cake. Then on the weekend after we had a toddler party - only about 4 friends though to keep it under control! Glad you found somewhere else for your party - sounds like it's going to be fun!

NC - hope you're feeling better now. Shame your mum couldn't/wouldn't be more helpful - sounds like Leonie made up for it .

FT - hope Alex is better today - what a miserable weekend for you. At least you know what it was. Hope you are feeling better yourself too.

Lisa - wonderful that potty training is going so well - I hope Anya takes to it that quickly when the time comes (leaving it a bit longer yet).

Dal/Inzi - glad Dylan & Jane had great bithday parties.

herjazz - hope your chest thing is better.

Anya had a cold all last week - it's just about gone now but she missed another Halloween party. Nothing much else happening at the moment.

strawberrylace · 03/11/2009 19:59

Happy birthday Jane!

NeedCoffee · 03/11/2009 20:31

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANE!!!
Hope you have a fab holiday Inzi
And that Jane is better soon.

Herjazz-hope you're feeling better too
WWAJC-Glad Anya is nearly better, how you doing?

FT-Hope Alex is feeling better and sleeping better, and you!
That is so cute him asking you to 'rub it better' Its good that they are getting more able to tell us whats wrong, am keeping an eye on Shannon as she keeps saying 'ow ow' when shes having a wee, but has no soreness, bit worried she may have a urine infection, shes drinking a lot too.

Managed to get into college today, getting the bus with the pram was no easy feat, and the woman driver crazy girl racer going round the corners at high speed wasn't helpful either, but managed it and glad I did, although I've maybe put my recovery time back. Had a proper look at the surgery site today, with mirror and light and I've been given stitches when they said I hadn't and also have a just fading massive bruise, no wonder it hurt to sit down!

Oh and due to the erm windiness to my condition at the moment, Shannon shouted to me in the kitchen earlier(gotton from Leonie no doubt) 'Mummy, you farted'

Hope she has had a fab day Inzi and that you all have a wonderful holiday.

NC It certainly sounds like Shannon has a unrinary tract infection I hope you can get her some treatment soon. Sorry to hear that you are still uncomfortable but at least the bruising is fading now and the stitches will no doubt dissolve very soon. Well done on getting into college, you are very brave. lol at Shannon shouting "Mummy you farted" ..Alex has been taught (by Daddy) that they are called "flabby woof, woof"s [despairing emoticon] he finds announcing one to be utterly hysterically delightful along with gleefully wafting a hand under his nose saying "pooey! smells!"

FloriaTosca · 03/11/2009 22:20

Meant to say that teeth appears not to have been the only problem over the weekend...I had to get him to the Drs today because he suddenly came up in a rash on his back, chest and face...I did the glass test and it faded but got an emergency appt anyway...the rash was already fading by the time we got there turns out to be a 'non-specific viral rash', the temp and sickness and general crabbiness of the weekend was probaby viral..as well as teething [bad mummy emoticon] but at least he is on the mend....just hope I didnt pass it on to any of the kids at tea 'n toys yesterday

herjazz · 03/11/2009 22:51

oops bit ablushed at my last post - really hope I didn't come across as trite and unsympathetic to you NC. Don't think dh had the same as what you - eek NO stitches or anaesthetic.. and I was nice and supportive to him as well. I just come across as glib and abrubt on internet message boards

FT - haha. I did an AIBU about that very subject of teaching young son to laugh at farts a few months ago. Looksee

Glad Alex is on the mend. DD actually had this weird pin prick spot thing t'other week and it didn't blanche - we were in hossie anyway and it turned out to be nothing - then I got it on my arms over the weekend. Nothing like menigitis rash - you really had to strain to see it but it was like I literally had been nervously attacked with tiny tacking pin. Nasty lurgies

Still feel quite lousy. The internet is my only voice at the mo. I can't actually speak! And am fed up of lying about the house / coughing / wetting myself when I cough

NC - take a wee sample to gp if you suspect UTI. They can get quite nasty in little ones. Hope she's ok soon

All the birthday pics on fb are lovely. I haven't put any up yet. Prolly stick em up with some christmas ones

LisaLessLumpy · 04/11/2009 08:12

Hi ladies, time marching away from me again

NC - glad you are starting to feel a little better, its made me think twice about getting my one removed tho

Well the potty hasn't progressed any further, he keeps asking for it but hasn't done a proper wee on it yet. I am just letting him lead the way at the moment tho, I'm in no rush

He is currently running around naked along with Sam and jumping all over the sofa cushions, so he had better not do a crafty one!

His fave word at the moment is 'hurtin' so whenever he does something to himself he comes to me and says 'hurtin' and wants me to kiss it better

Inzi - You look fab in your picture with Jane. Have a great holiday

FT and Herjazz - hope you both start to feel better soon, its no fun dealing with children/sick children when you are feeling rough yourself.

Touch wood I have been well for quite a while now, amazing for me

I'm off out with DH tonight to watch UP in 3D. Took Sam to see it on Thursday and it was fab, so going again

Hope you all have a good day

I'm really poorly. Come out in another rash today. Been to docs and have got double dose of ab to take 4 times a day. And need to go back tomorrow to check in

Eeeek. Not always worth being a trojan and not bothering docs with pesky colds it seems. I'm up there like a shot with the kids but not for myself. Off to bed now. Have offloaded little man on my pares and dd is at school

NeedCoffee · 04/11/2009 14:15

wow lots of posts today!

Herjazz-sorry you're feeling rubbish, I meant to say after the post that if your DH had had what I did I thought he did quite well to only have 2 days bed rest, but forgot to write it due to the drugs probably lol. Don't worry about sounding abrubt, you didn't Hope you recover soon, get DH to wait on you later

Inzi-Hope Jane is better really soon, it did cross my mind that she may be copying but don't think shes seen me sat on the toilet crying as I always go upstairs, weirdly, she's been fine today so not sure what to do really, see how she goes I suppose and keep an eye out for temp etc.

FT-poor Alex, theres so much going around at the moment, hope Hes better soon. Naughty Daddy!

LLL-fingers crossed for no sneaky dribbles on your furniture. Ooooh I really fancy seeing that film, it looks funny, I never go to cinema, think there are a few I'd like to see in 3D. Have a nice evning

Dal-or anyone else that has, or oging to have a little one-do you want a baby bouncer I got it new, but never used it, lent it out to Richies Aunty but don't think she used it much. Will post if anyone wants it, sick of seeing it.

felt very dizzy when I woke up, prob did too much yesterday, and today if I'm honest but the house was a tip, and if I'm physically able to do it, I just have to, only have to do tea now, so going to chill on da net for a bit Oh and need to see if I can mend my pram, took Shannon to shop earlier and realised the back rest has snapped in half horizontally it was at the pram park all day yesterday and then Rich put it in the car last night so its either been done at nursery or by Rich, but hes' managed to fold it plenty of times before without breaking it so I think one of the other Mums have done it, called the nursery and she said she'd left it out for me knowing how rubbish I was feeling, yet when I picked it up, it had been put right to the back and I'd struggled to get it out, so it has definately been moved by someone other than me or a member of staff grr
