FB'ed!!

littleboyblue · 27/09/2009 01:01

MS yuck @ your swimming trip!
dinky poor you and Danny, hope he settles down soon.
spotty oh dear........you and MN not getting along at the mo?

Thank you all for concern over ds1. He has just woken now, but his temp is ok. I put him to bed in just a nappy with a sheet over him. He hates being covered up so felt a bit cold. I've bought him in with me so he doesn't wake Luke and hopefully stays asleep now.
Fingers crossed it was a 24hr thing and all will be well tomorrow.

PinkTulips · 27/09/2009 12:09

hope he's a happier chap this morning lbb

dinkystinky · 27/09/2009 14:52

Spotty is on FB and sending love in our direction (with a bit of Spotty news and poss news).... If you can Spotty get in touch with MN site stuff to see if they can figure out what is up with your computer, we miss you

LBB - hope J is better now.

Ugh, just discovered a mouse in our kitchen (was enjoying the fruits of BLWing and DH's attempt at clearing up ) and managed to corner it and while trying to catch it to chuck it out into the cemetery DH brained it... cant help but think am now going to have terrible rodent karma...

OP posts:
MarkStretch · 27/09/2009 20:15

How appropriate that you threw it directly into a cemetery though Dinky! I'm sure that cancels out the bad karma...

We went out today to a little farm and showed DS the animals, he was very excited by the goats, especially when they tried to nibble him, and the donkeys when one of them headbutted DH in the belly- HA!

Had all of DD's hair cut off into a bob, makes her look really grown up and it suits her- arrrghhhhh!

Have posted on FB too.

rosieposey · 27/09/2009 20:57

Hello everybody,Its been weeks since ive posted and just wanted to see how everybody else was getting on with their lo's.

Milo is walking around the furniture and having all sorts of accidents (he currently has carpet burn on the side of his nose and a bruise on his forehead bless him).

5 teeth in two weeks was a bit traumatic too but he is a little sweetie and i am really enjoying him.

How is everybody getting on going back to work? Hope the shock isnt too much!

Im going to have a look at some BLW threads as im considering going down that route with Milo - he seems to be too independent to want to let me spoon feed him but im terribly paranoid about him choking as he seems to want to shove as much stuff in his little mouth as possible.

Cant believe that we were only about 5 months pregnant this time last year - its all gone so quickly. Hope you are all well and and your little ones are giving you as much pleasure as Milo is me

littleboyblue · 28/09/2009 08:27

dinky Oh no on the mouse. It/they probably arewn't living in your house, just coming in to eat. If you decide to get traps, the best thing for bait is peanut butter. It's what I used in the pubs.
rosie I'm BLWing Luke, as it sounds like he is the same as Milo. Try not to worry too much about the choking. He should be ok as long as you on't put anything in his moth, that's where the danger comes in most of the time iyswim.
Last night Luke had stuffed jacket potatoes. I cut up the skin and he even managed that! He's had steak, pork chops etc and never had any problems. The only thing I do't give him is apples.
With ds1, we had more gagging incidents on purees than 'proper' food.
Goodluck, and I'll see you on the BLW thread.

Ds1 was up all last night again with a temp but is fine again now.
They were both up most of the night and think I fianlly fell asleep at about 5am. Dp got up wih them this morning, but seems to have the ump about it and keep yawning . What I'd also like to know, is why is it, when he lays-in, I shut the bedroom door to minimise disturbance, but when I lay-in, the door stays open o Javcob can keep coming in yelling "mummy wakey wakey"?????????????

dinkystinky · 28/09/2009 08:46

Ugh. Max of 3 hours sleep last night thanks to Danny. Why oh why is it on the school nights that he doesnt sleep??? Am sending him to the doctors today I think as he is still not eating/drinking and his cough is getting worse.

Rosie - lovely to see you on and wow at Milo cruising already. DH refuses to use the term cruising as it sounds a little too effeminate for his liking - he prefers to call it traversing

Hello all....

I havent been on for ages as we have been so busy recently... And we are all suffering with colds again....

Owen is doing really well he is crawling everywhere. He started at six and a half months and to top it off last night he crawled up to me on the sofa and pulled himself up onto his feet.... And started walking around holding on to the sofa does he not know that IT IS TO EARLY FOR HIM TO BE DOING THIS who ever said boys are lazy did't know owen that is for sure!!!

Only down point is his weight. He is still only 16lb and 9oz and has just dropped below the 25th centile. I am getting grief from hv but am ignoring her at the moment....

Jessica is being so good at the moment I have my little baby girl back!!

MS and Spotty are you mad.........

I still havent had AF since having owen is this normal??? It is over 7 months now!!

BLW is going well if a little messy... Owen loves feeding himself and we love watching... We are alergy weaning him but Jessica cave him cake this morning from her party bag so waiting to see if there is a reaction. There is obviously flour and egg in the cake and was wondering what I should be looking out for? Can anyone help?

bumpsnowjustplump · 28/09/2009 09:27

BLW is going well if a little messy... Owen loves feeding himself and we love watching... We are alergy weaning him at the moment so he is not aloud dairy, gluton, wheat or eggs. Jessica went to a party yesterday and I walked in this morning and she had given him half her cake from her party bag!! So I am waiting to see if there is a reaction. There is obviously flour and egg in the cake and was wondering what I should be looking out for? Can anyone help? bless her for sharing though!!!

bumpsnowjustplump · 28/09/2009 09:28

ignore the last message I was going to put that in allergy section whoops...

PinkTulips · 28/09/2009 10:15

are they pregnant?

[scuttles off to FB to check]

littleboyblue · 28/09/2009 10:38

I'm halfway through the month on my contraceptive pill and have started bleeding. First the old brown stuff and now the fresh red. Sorry for TMI, but we don't care do we? Have been through too much tgether to care about bloody undies
What to do?
What could it be?

PinkTulips · 28/09/2009 10:42

sorry lbb, i've never taken the pill so have no idea... i'd stop the pill and head to the docs i think though... implantation or mc are possibilities i'd imagine so best to get it checked out

littleboyblue · 28/09/2009 10:45

Yeah, gonna ring and make an appointment. I forgot to take saturday's one, and there was 1 last week that I lost on the kitchen floor, and I know I should have taken the one from the end of the pack but I didn't....

LittleMissNorty · 28/09/2009 10:50

LBB - have you taken this particular brand before? Could be breakthrough bleeding which may indicate a different brand required with more hormones in.

MarkStretch · 28/09/2009 11:32

I just found cat poo outside the door of my shed so got a spade and got the cat poo on the spade, stood up to move the poo and walked straight in to a massive cobweb which stuck to my face and I staggered up the garden blinded whilst trying to balance the poo on the spade.

I wonder if I could convice DD's school to do that as a race next sports day?

PinkTulips · 28/09/2009 11:54

pmsl MS.... sorry, not funny for you i'm sure but i bet any neighbours watching had a good giggle

littleboyblue · 28/09/2009 12:17

MS I'd die if I walked into a spider web!!!!!

Just been docs who wanted to do a pg test, but me being me, couldn't pee in a public toilet. Am going back on wednesday for a smear and some swabs to check for infection.

I'm not up the duff from forgetting 1 pill.

PinkTulips · 28/09/2009 12:31

oh fgs buy a test lbb!

rosieposey · 28/09/2009 12:59

Lol Dinky, my DH thinks that cruising is a little 'inappropriate' for walking around the furniture too - but i tried to tell him that it was a term that had been around for ages .

Lbb are you up the duff again? take a test like PT says and put me out of my misery! Talking of BLW i tried it today properly for the first time (strawberries, ricecakes, wheatbix and cheese cubes) OMG the mess!!! lol i take it no one else has to change their baby at every meal because there is no way that an ordinary bib is doing the job anymore i think i need something a little more heavy duty. The dog is looking pleased with my decision though

Ohh how is everyone getting on with sleeping? Milo is waking up really early but is still obviously tired and it would be better for all concerned if he went through till about 7, i think he is hungry you know as he tends to have his last bottle at around 8 or 9 pm and thats it then. He was not doing so well with the spoonfeeding weaning method and would refuse more than half a jar or plastic bowl of homemade hence i was worried as he definately looks alot less chubby than he used to but this is the first day of BLW for us and he seems to have taken to it like a duck to water - did have one gagging/choking episode though - god did i panic but i am trying to think that thats pretty much normal with BLW and im going to read some more threads later on this afternoon about it all.

Are two naps a day enough? it tends to be one hour to two hours in the late morning and then again lateish afternoon then he goes to sleep somewhere between 8.30 and 9.30 in the evening. I let him stay up that bit later than i seem to remember with my girls because DH doesnt get in till at least 7.30 and he would so hate not to see him and have cuddles.

PinkTulips · 28/09/2009 13:08

rosie, we either strip A down or replace the top he's wearing with an already stained top that would otherwise be fit only for the bin and change him back after the meal.

littleboyblue · 28/09/2009 13:39

I did a test. negative woo-hoo! Although I've been thinking it'd be nice to have another one, being faced with the possibility was a bit scary! lol.
Have also made an appointment for wednesday for swabs etc.

rosie It is messy isn't it! I have to change Luke after every meal or I just get him naked before he eats.

Luke goes to bed at 7pm, gets up at 6am, naps normally 9-10am and then 1-3pm ish.
