I can do Monday or Friday of that week, and can get to South Bank quite easily, but already have to choose out of 3 possibilities what to do on the Monday so would prefer Friday. Could also do Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Need to go and get ready for a BLW meet up, just one other mum and baby but I have to leave the house in half an hour.

my older two could sleep drenched to the skin, still can if they wet the bed.

unfortunately to my shame i have to have A in sposies at night as he's to paticular about being dry and i cannot cope with nappy changing 2 times a night when he was in the hospital one of the nurses even commented on the fact that he always cried as soon as he'd wet the nappy

good to have you back MS... i know exactly what you mean about it being a good day, my irish grandmothers funeral was like that and it was great to celebrate her life like that.

hello woozlet, anybody's welcome to join... was ds your first?

Hi littleboyblue. Cool, only a day between them!

Yes he is my 1st. It's going good! Just got 2 teeth last week, sits by himself now and usually sleeps all night. Last night was pretty bad though, he woke at 1am and wouldn't go back to sleep til 2. Seems a far way off crawling - anyone else's baby crawling yet?

Hi Woozlet My DS2 was born 2nd March but I still hang out with the Feb ladies as was originally due then

Sam got up on his hands and knees this morning DS1 spent a good 6 weeks doing this and rocking backwards and forwards before finally crawling (backwards!) so hopefully I'll have a bit more time before I have to tear around after BOTH of them!!

o bugger... think i need to dig out the stairgates, just found A up on his hands and knees

Flipping hell, dd was almost 9 months before she got up on hands and knees to crawl and ds1 never really managed it at all..... i'm not ready for a crawler!

pmsl, just read the last few posts and looks like i'm not alone. He's not doing as well as Sam is spotty, dd only had a days or two gap between forwards and backwards so don't relax too much yet A got so excited about being up on his hands and knees he promptly fell over but he's been practicing since and seems to be getting the hang of it, think we might have movement soon.

Welcome Woozlet - your ds is a birthday twin of mine - what time was your son born?

Good to see you back MS, I'm glad that your family was able to take the chance of a big get together, that's got to be a good way to remember him.

Just quickly popping on. Luke puked up his whole dinner. It smelt like proper sick too. Dp quickly legged it.

Just off to put him to bed, back later

Ds1 crawled at 10 months. Luke may or may not be sooner. He isn't sitting for longer than a minute or so though.

Evening all. What no baking Markstretch? Lovely to see you on Markstretch and great that big Frank had a send off in style! And lovely to hear that little Frank (or not so little any more Frank) is doing so well!

Welcome Woozlet - glad you found us. Hope your little one is doing well. My DS2 Danny was born on 10 Feb and like Spotty (hugs to you too lady - been tooooooooo long since you were last with us) am broody as all hell again now - particularly as Danny is doing the getting on all fours thing and commando crawling (mostly backwards though) across our floors. DS1 was a roller from an early age - Danny appears to want to be a crawler from an early age DH has a few days off and put together Danny's high chair (Tripp Trapp - same as DS1's) this morning and Danny was delighted to be up at the table - he's been busily gumming away on melon, pitta bread and courgette batons today bless him. I swear he's almost eating more than DS1 already! Sadly he's not sleeping through yet (awake once or twice a night) but think my body has adapted to that now as I seem to be able to function as long as I get a slot of 4 hours sleep in somewhere in the night. Danny slept a grand total of 2 hours today (in snatches here and there) and was in pieces by 5.30 so has been in bed since 6.15 - god only knows what time he'll want to be up in the morning...

MoS - replacing the gravestone sounds like a really lovely thing to do. I'm sure your parents are looking over you and really proud of their little girl.

So, London August Meetup - southbank on Friday 28 August (enough bold words there ). Spotty - can we tempt you down south for the day? So far we have me, Elkidee, MoS and THOM up for it. Whereabouts are you based Woozlet? Wanna come join us?

hello all and welcome woozlet my DS was born on 8th Feb.
Welcome back spotty, its been a long time and I was wondering how you and DH have been doing. Hope all is ok?

Been a very long day today. Drove down to mum's getting there at lunchtime so had fish and chips by the beach which was nice. Noticed that there was a little train running along the front so went and did a few hours sorting and clearing out at the bungalow whilst DD2 played in the trees out the front (many happy memories of DC1 and 2 playing there when they were little and used to stay with nannie and grandad)
Then went back and took the kids on the train up to the funfair and spent an hour or so there. DD2 went on the helterskelter and waltzer and loved them both. Long drive back and just home about 20 mins ago.

DS1 and DD1 off with their dad tomorrow for a week and actually quite looking forward to the peace and quiet. I'm sick of them squabbling. I've had two really hard days back to back and could do without all their stupid bickering

ref meet up, just realised the friday is just before the bank hol weekend and wonder whether that will be difficult for some (if others on here have lives?) if so I can do Tues or Thurs that week

Ahhh LBB, he's not so little anymore!

MOS- re your earlier post, North Walsham is lovely, have a friend who lives there. It's a nice little town half way between Norwich and the North Coast so you are perfectly between city/seaside.

Would love to chat to you about it, FB if you like? (and a link to the house so I can be nosey!)

And Dinky- no baking, infact no cooking at all as DH went and got us fish and chips for dinner

How do you give Danny pitta bread? [thick] Will he not get a bit off and choke on it?

Hey all,
Yey I have found the new thread..
It has been a long time.. how is everyone ?

Markstretch sorry to hear your sad news, I hope you doing well..

MOS you are doing really well, really made me well up when you mentioned nearly ringing your mum

welcome woozlet my dd was born 4th Feb.. were you affected by the snow? did you manage to get to the hospital ok ?

Dinky well done in organising another do.. i am very envious, i want to come.. but can't

THOM i really feel for you re. teh c.pox. i know i say this about everything BUT ... ALOE VERA JELLY... cover your lo from head to toe.. relieves the itch, helps healing

work is going ok.. little bit stressful in this current climate, but hopefully all will be well..

DD is sitting and attempting to get to interesting things out of her reach, so think she will be making a break for it fairly soon. She is fully weaned..LOVES eating and is happy with both purees and finger food.. so we are pleased with that.. DS is growing everyday and doing full conversations now..but utterly, utterly refuses the potty training.. i am so envious of all you clever mamas who have managed to potty train similar aged lo's!!

morning all,
MS I'll see if I can find details of the house and email them to you to satisfy your nosiness
DH and I are going to go up to Norfolk in 3 weeks when he is back to have a proper look, can you recommend any nice places in particular to start looking? We'd like something a bit rural but still close enough to civilisation if that makes sense?

nkweto such a shame you can't make meet up, it was so nice meeting you, A & C last time. Ref the potty training, I tried so many times with DD on the potty and was getting so frustrated that she just wouldn't perform when so many of her friends were 'dry'. Then it sort of happened overnight. She wouldn't use the potty but would sit on the toilet so we bought her a little step and trainer seat and literally within a week or so (with a few accidents) she was dry. This was in May and over the past few months she has been brilliant and had maybe two accidents, mainly when she was tired and dozed off in pushchair. Its been a bit close a few times and sometimes if we are in a strange place we tend to take the potty with us for emergency pit stops and also on long car journeys. If you see a volvo xc90 parked by the side of a road with a toddler flashing her butt it will be us as she tends to want to stop by the side of a main road

H is doing well on the feeding now and is trying to feed himself, pinched a bit of his sisters toasted cheese sandwich yesterday and sucked on that and a few days ago actually grabbed a bowl off the table at meal time

Am hoping for a quiet weekend now. DCs 1 & 2 being picked up by their dad this morning and hopefully I can start to tidy up some of the mess they make. Honestly, if you think toddlers are bad, you wait til you have teenagers. House permanently looks like we've been burgled. It will probably take me til Friday to get it spotless then the little buggers/darlings will be back Saturday

Hope everyone has a good weekend x

Hi Dinky, MOS.

Well done Danny with your great eating! Always nice to hear people doing BLW.

I'm In Jersey the last week of Aug. Although haven't booked the flights yet but provisionally will have to say no but will keep an eye on your plans incase flights/dates change. Where is Southbank?

Anyone know how to get Sweet Potato poo out of the carpet?? I have just stupidly whipped off Sam's nappy whilst he was on the floor and he exploded that very second before the new one could go on - typical

Arrggh Potty Training - Isn't your DS the same age as mine? April 07? I'm trying my best to avoid it but wont be able to put it off much longer. He takes his nappy off and runs round naked wehenever we are at home Some days he climbs on the toilet (we have a training seat) and does wees & poos of his own accord, yet another day he will refuse to go if I ask him and has a full on rage if I try and put him on myself. He also HATES potty's and will not go on them at all, and also wees as soon as he has a pair of pants on. If he had it his way he would be a free naked wild boy free to widdle around the garden.

I think I might start at the end of Sept when our holidays are out of the way but am NOT looking forward to it.
