Red wine? Yes please.

bonym · 02/06/2005 20:59

Hmm- would love a red wine but am trying to lose weight . Friday tomorrow though and weekends I allow myself one! .

We are exclusively breastfeeding but dod sometimes have the problem in the evenings when she get very frustrated and screams at the slow flow. Am the same as misdee though - can't be bothered making up bottles! I did read somewhere (might have been the dreaded Gina) that it's a good idea to express some milk early in the day when it is richer and give it as a top up bottle in the evening. Needless to say, I haven't tried this as expressing seems to be too much of a faff - if and when I try again I will try that hand-expressing techinque that you did a link to Popsy.

Have put some more photos of Grace on the photobucket.

Thanx for the advice yesterday re Dylans sleeping. We fed more in day and woke him at 5p.m as normally he sleeps until 7p.m, we bathed him and gave him his bottle and put him to bed at 7.30pm. (the earliest yet!) he woke at 4am for feed then slept right through til 8am. feel great today, its amazing what some sleep can do.
Thanx ladies.

tamula · 03/06/2005 15:17

Hi popsy,

Glad babe is feeling better

What injection did he have?

Girly · 03/06/2005 15:17

we are fine here, Milie had her 2nd injections today and seems alright although she did scream the place down and all the old ladies were comiserating with her when she came out!

its half term so am quite busy with all 3 at home but am enjoying it as the weather is so good, the sunshine is cheering me up.

Hope all is well with everyone

popsycal · 03/06/2005 15:31

hi it was the standard 5 in 1 and meningitus c injections

girly - glad to see you have survived half term

bonym · 04/06/2005 12:13

Grace slept from 8.30pm to 6.00am . I am one happy mummy!

norash · 04/06/2005 12:16

Morning y'all,

Hope that everyone is fine and that all the babies that had their injections this week are feeling much better.

I am worried about the injections because Kieran will be having his first one on Tuesday .

tamula · 04/06/2005 12:21

Hi Norash,
Hi everyone, hope everyone had a good nights sleep

Norash I'm a bit concerned my GP has made no mention of giving Ava any injections as yet, did you make an appointment or was it automatically sent out to you?

norash · 04/06/2005 12:33

Bonym , congrats .

Kieran would not settle down last night cried for an hour and finally fell asleep at 10pm (very restless). Was up at 1am for a feed then again at 2am and 3am when I finaly put him in bed with us hence no more sleep for Mama as he was wrigling so much.

Just when I thought things were getting better! Oh well let's hope it was a one off.

Very 'TIRED' mummy

Autopilot on.

norash · 04/06/2005 12:37

Hi Tamula, when i took Kieran for his 6 week checkup the GP told me that all I needed to do was take him in for baby clinic, which iis on Tuesdays.

I would call your surgery and ask, it might be the same as well.

tamula · 04/06/2005 13:49

thanks popsy, well done bonym and thanks norash!

bonym · 04/06/2005 17:19

Tam - we were sent an appointment for the jabs so I guess it probably varies from area to area. I would give your surgery a ring om Monday - 1st jabs should be at 8 weeks.

tamula · 04/06/2005 18:53

Thanks Bonym, i'll pop round on Monday, they dont seem to be able to do telephone calls without asking a zillion people first and then still not knowing anything useful

misdee · 04/06/2005 19:01

serena has started to cut 2 bottom teeth

OP posts:
norash · 04/06/2005 19:30

Hey Misdee, I hope that Serena is well as sometimes the little ones can have problems when teething. All the best gal.

Kieran is drooling quite a bit and is very restless maybe his gums are itching, but then again he might just be teething. My youngest brother had his two by the time he was 3 months old and so did his daughter. Maybe it runs in the family.

norash · 04/06/2005 20:25

Red wine anyone? I know I deserve it after the day my Hubby and I have had with Kieran. Oh well the joys of motherhood.

tamula · 05/06/2005 06:43

YAY!!!! morning -if a tad early-

Ava went down at 1840 woke at 0430 for a quick natter with herself dropped back by herself and up again at 0600 but chattered again for 10 mins at which point i was soooo pleased and happy i had to go get her!!! that and because my boobs were like rock

Norash - any wine left? I'll have a glass with lunch!!!

Pidge · 05/06/2005 11:35

We're back on totally random mode with sleep - two nights ago it was 10pm, 1am, 3am, 4am, 6am, 7am ... YUK! Then last night we were back on track with 10pm, 2am, 5.30am, 7am. Still not brilliant for a 3 month old by the sounds of some of your babies. I can't remember what dd1 was doing at this age. But I'm considering dropping the 10pm dreamfeed as I feel like she's hardly taking anything, and she goes to sleep at 7pm ish. So I might try leaving her one night to see what she does.

Off out for lunch, so must dash off.

jambot · 05/06/2005 12:51

Don't you find that things change from week to week? Just when you think you've got a handle on things something else comes up! Lauren was up until a few days a hopeless morning napper. Had to wheel her around in the pram and even then she'd only sleep for 20 mins before waking. Ever since she droppped her night feed and is sleeping from 6:45pm to 6:30am, she's started sleeping for an hour and a half from 9:00 to 10:30! I feed her at 11:00 and I'm now putting her down for her long nap 12ish. She seems very happy with this set up and is more alert and less niggly. She's also napping happily in her bed which she wouldn't do before. Took her through wide awake at 12ish, cuddled her and put her down and told her to go to sleep. She played with her little blankie for a few minutes and was gone! Oh what a joy!! No crying, moaning!
Though next week it'll probably be totally different.

jambot · 05/06/2005 12:52

Are yours very farty? Lauren farts all the time! Don't know if this is normal or not? Worried her bowels aren't what they should be.
Am I the only March Mum not breastfeeding?

tamula · 05/06/2005 13:25

jambot - Ava trumps for England we call her our little farty girl as well as other things Its so funny sometimes, we'll put her down to sleep and it'll be all quiet and then Ava will let one go, hysterical!!
