myjob thats not good re falling over! Should you go to the drs? Maybe your iron levels are low?

I felt rather at the pizza but luckily I had gone in just in time as it was nicely cooked and ready for me

Ouch to sore nips! I dont know where my nipples or boobs have gone

P is very snotty too, teething snot I think, pure green and big bubbles!

Another baby with red tinges in his hair here. I think it looks gorgeous. My best mate and my cousin are both red heads and have the most amazing coloured hair, it's beautiful. Some people are so stupid HMM ignore it. If anyone comments on J's hair looking red I say something along the lines of 'yes it is, i love it and I hope it stays that way'

Not good news about the falling over myjob, it probably is tiredness but maybe get checked out if it happens again.

Star- hope you feel better after your thinking. Another row with DH here this morning so sending yet more sympathies!

Ds is asleep at the moment thank god, all he wants to do is climb up me and I'm not in the mood. Trying to get stuff ready for holiday, clean house etc It's all a bit too much. Next door's stupid yappy dog keeps yapping and I really hope he doesn't wake ds up. Sometimes I could happily kick it, always yapping Apologies to any yappy dog lovers.

KSal · 18/08/2009 13:34

just popping in to say hi!

myjob... you take care of yourself!! falling over tired is not good at all!

star sorry to hear about your probs with DH I hope some thinking time helps. I think i let my DH get away with a lot for a quiet life.... but if i think about it a bit more, he probably does the same!! (having said that i actually think he's an amazing husband overall... ahhh)

i've been wondering about biting... emma has bitten me a couple of times (i'm not BF by the way, she just bites my shoulder or arm). Its definitely not malicious, it seems more like she's trying her teeth out or something... does that make sense? she has been teething quite badly the last few days so i wondered if that was it. I am terrified of her biting at nursery or something and them thinking she's being aggressive.

Just on quick. Sleep not going well at parents. Dd played up at bedtime, joined my parents in bed around midnight, and was already awake and chatting by 5am, so has been tired and grumpy (and in denial) all day. Ds also had dreadful night, which of course meant that I did too. And we are used to aircon at home, but parents don't have it, so hot stuffy room didn't help with sleep either.

I have read, but haven't taken much in, except go to bed early myjob, and don't wait for dh to get back from work!

50ftQueenie · 18/08/2009 18:03

Just a quick message, I will be back on later. We took M swimming for the first time today. She absolutely loved it, looks like she might be a bit of a natural water baby. But.....I well and truly had my big fat judgey pants on! Dear lord there was a very group of 'adults' looking after a small girl. Poor little thing. She was in a rubber ring with armbands and was splashing about happily when a big fat twat her dad(?) picked her up out of the water and threw her about half the length of the pool! The poor little girl sunk under the water and came up sobbing her eyes out. The adults all laughed at her and told her to shut up. Then they took her rubber ring off and put her on a float. The mum(?) then tipped the float over, dumping her in the water. Again, poor little girl surfaces in tears. The mum thinks it's really funny and tell small girl (about 3 I would guess) not to be so 'paftik'. Lovely.

what's paftik?

MM that's HORRIBLE. How old was this little girl? was she able to swim a little bit to get herself up? Not that it makes it any less horrifying. I'm so so so when I see things like that!

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/08/2009 19:32

'pathetic' star.

We were planning on going swimming this week, but mum had to have a biopsy today, and she's not allowed to get it wet, so if we do go it will have to be without her.

50ftQueenie · 18/08/2009 19:44

Star - That was my attempt to spell 'Pathetic" phonetically. No she couldn't swim it was really shocking, but obviously there were no life guards around to sort it out. DH nearly 'had a word' but they left soon after, plus the fat bloke was HUGE compared to slim-line DH. I am the same. I wanted to grab that little girl and give her a big cuddle. How are you today?

Myjob - I am sure she'll be ok. If she is anything like M then the sight of other babies will perk her up.

CSWS - I am sooooo about your air conditioning. I have asked DH if we can get air conditioning but insists we don't need it in this country. Sorry things aren't very comfortable for you at your mum's.

Rachie - I too hate yappy dogs. The MIL has one, say no more!

Listening to you all talking about your biting babies I'm glad I've still got a gummy girl! [toothless grin]

M has been practicing her standing on her own and is getting a little over-confident. She fell flat on her face from standing this morning. She was fine, she landed on her forehead, the really hard bit, had a cuddle & some calpol. Poor little love!

star6 · 18/08/2009 19:49

latest: DH TOLD me not asked, like I do... TOLD me 5 min before leaving tonight that he's going out to play snooker with his friend tonight.
I've been encouraging him to do this for days and days
so I'm not upset that he's gone out at all
I'm upset that I ALWAYS ask him if he's ok to be home when I go out on my own (b/c he will need to watch Q) and tell him well in advance but when he wants to go, he just assumes it's fine and tells me 5 min before leaving!?????
I don't need him to ASK... just run it by me, iyswim...? I do this for him. I think it's inconsiderate for either of us to just assume the other will stay and look after Q while the other goes out and has fun without at LEAST giving a bit of advance notice. ??? UNless we had a routine, like, every friday he gets to go out, every saturday I do, sunday together... like it sort of was during hte school year, but I only got to go sat afternoon (I'd rather go after Q's bed so I don't miss out on time with Q).

If I were to say "hey, mr star I'm going out with some girl friends in 5 minutes. you put Q to bed. See you later" he'd be like, wtf?? right?? He'd give me hell for not having the common courtesy to tell him in advance.

And I saw on his phone - he made this plan YESTERDAY (just saw it before he left).

Am I crazy???

I THINK he wanted a reaction. So... I didn't give him one . Instead of saying all of the above, I said, "Ok, love you. have fun". He was a bit stunned. Has since text
"just got off the bus"
and later
"just got to the pub xx"

star6 · 18/08/2009 19:56

oh and I was 30 min later than usual getting home from school today because of a meeting. He text me "you know, you should have the common courtesy to let me know if you're going to be this late"
??????????

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/08/2009 20:00

So, about 8:45am on Sunday let him know that you and Q are going out for the day. Leave home at 8:50am. And we'll see you an hour and 40 minutes later .

I LOVE my aircon MM. We only have it upstairs, but it's bliss when it's all hot and stuffy elsewhere. We put it in in 2006 when dd was an unsettled baby and we were trying to find the cause.

Not inlaws myjob - my parents.

I bought loads of lovely clothes for dd in H&M today. My trip there is the highlight of every visit here! She was of course tired and ungrateful when I showed her them.

Might do West Mids Safari Park tomorrow if we have a reasonable night.

Ah, we occasionally hear concerts at Knebworth too pistachio. Listened to a bit of Robbie from our garden a few years back.

Also considering a beach trip to Weston-Super-Mare tomorrow. Decisions decisions...

Think I'm going to go and have an early night shortly.

RachieW · 18/08/2009 20:55

Glad I am not the only yappy dog hater

Star- well done for the reaction to dh going out. I like CSWS' idea for Saturday too

50ft- Yay for M enjoying swimming but for those parents.

CSWS- for sticky hot nights and I'm also very about air conditioning.

Have had a pretty hideous day with ds today. Despite having a good morning sleep he has been so demanding, wanting to be held constantly, happy to be put down if I sit next to him but if I move, not even leave the room, just move would cry and cry. It got to lunch time and he was just hanging off me and I just lost it. I actually felt quite scared that I would chuck him out the window so phoned my lovely sensible mum who told me to strap him in the highchair and let him cry while I made lunch.

I was supposed to be going to a playgroup with a friend from work but looked such a blotchy cry faced state that she ended up coming to me and sorting me out. Ds was quite happy with visitors being here especially as she has a 4 year old who he loves. He played quite happily for the rest of the afternoon and I was a lot calmer with adult company. Just one of those hideous days that I'm putting down to grumpiness on his part or teething or over-tired

star6 · 18/08/2009 21:05

ahhhhh
dh just text me that if I want to go to warwick on sunday, he'll go. ughhhh I wanted to go myself now that I've ranted about him on mn and fb!!! Don't know what to say now.

pistachio yes I think he is trying to get a reaction. It is stupid, I agree!!

star6 · 18/08/2009 21:07

pistachio a friend of mine went to see U2 in london this weekend. Enjoy the concert from your house!! lucky you!

Rachie - for rough day. Great that your friend came over, that is always helpful! When do you start work again?

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/08/2009 21:09

Come star! We'll bite our tongues so as not to get you into trouble.
I expect that his friend might have pointed out that he's being unreasonable.

RachieW · 18/08/2009 21:19

Star- I go back two weeks on Thursday. I have to say today I was thinking it can't come soon enough but then I feel horrible as I'll miss J loads. IMO you should take dh up on his offer to go to Warwick. No one would say anything I'm sure, what goes on mn stays on mn I'd imagine/hope and it sounds like meeting new people is a big thing so it sounds as if this is a type of apology?
