Pistachio - M has been waking up once a night, at around 5.30am but last night woke four times. Maybe there was something in the air........ Or in M's case it was probably something in her gums.

Myjob - I am still waiting for Next stuff to come (I think). I got all my Monsoon stuff and am very pleased with it indeed! I got M the following:

These

this

this and this that wasn't in the sale but it was lovely so had to get it. I also got ds some shoes, but M&S was a bit rubbish for older boys last season so that was all for him. Nothing for me, obviously.

Ahhh, great minds eh? I love the colour of the blue one I got M. I've seen it in the flesh and it is gorgeous. If only M's eyes were staying blue then it would compliment them, but alas, they are turning green like mine.

Went to Bluewater and was really disappointed with the M&S sale. Nothing I liked for ds but there did seem to be lovely girls bits. Also nothing for me but to be honest I always get a bit lost in the BW M&S so didn't look everywhere. Once J is in bed I'll check out the web.

MM- I've had about half of my Next order, including a green pair of trousers I brought to J with flowers on They didn't seem flowery in the photo.

J has been really moany all day, making that 'mmmmmm' noise which I think is teething pain. He's had two sleeps, one of me and one in the car so I feel like I've not had 2 mins to myself all day. Dh home in the next ten mins- would it be wrong to wait on the doorstep?

Marthasmama · 23/07/2009 18:23

M is teething too Rachie. She has been grumpy pretty much all day, except when on a mission to do something naughty. Then she giggles. I find the on-line M&S sale is always much better and easier to negotiate than rl m&s. I agree about getting lost in BW M&S, it is so confusing and just when you think you've worked out where things are, they move them again! Grrrr!

My body is being very unkind to me. It has decided that it would be a good idea to throw a period into the mix along with the op recovery. I feel dreadful. Ugh.

Myjob - I was told that it was likely that I would have some bleeding initially after the op but I only had a tiny weeny bit on the actual day. The timing is right for it to be just an ordinary period and I doubt it would have suddenly started 9 days afterwards. Could be wrong though..... It feels like an ordinary period. Yuck. I wonder what's going on with your periods Myjob!!! Definitely not pregnant? No contraception is 100% you know.... [naughty]

M and J sound very similar today. The only time he has been happy is when he's been up to no good! I stupidly let him hold one of those yapping dogs at the gadget shop which he thought was excellent but then screamed when I took it off him. We had to walk away very quickly.

Myjob- I did laugh at the trousers too. Should have know such a pretty green couldn't be boyswear

star6 · 23/07/2009 19:41

just looked up bluewater - it's a 55 min drive from me Maybe I should visit it... it looks like an American shopping mall... am I correct?
Q cried 6 minutes tonight and 3 min for nap then quiet then cried again 9 min and then slept. second nap was in the car
I am now getting selfish and jus want him to settle without any crying AT ALL so I know he's happy to go to bed.

jenwa · 23/07/2009 20:05

rachie Yeh work were great and understanding, think if my headaches there tomorrow will go to drs whilst my mum has kids, did not want to go today and take kids with me. As for the sleep P was better today! She went down fine this am and this afty although bit shorter this afty, only prob now is she still not impressed about being in bed and not gone off to sleep yet lol at J being into everything, P is the same, she always wants what she is not allowed

myjob wow to N being able to stay awake all day! I am sure P would drop at some point. I am hoping she does not drop her sleep yet and likes sleep as much as I do although clearly she is starting to become an early bird

mm p jiggles around to music too, we have been putting stuff on u tube for dd1 to sing along too in her pink microphone and DD2 loves it and has a wiggle Also you are no doubt right about the headaches and I am sort of hoping its stress and not a spring!! Sorry about the period Mine arrived yesterday and I keep flooding! yuk! Horrible and yuck again!

RachieW · 23/07/2009 20:12

Does anyone know anything about babies bellybuttons? J had his quarterised (sp??) when he was a few months old and the GP said it might need doing again as it was so tiny she struggled a bit. I've never been convinced it's completely healed but tonight am sure I've seen a little gap. It's not weepy though or red and doesn't seem to bother him. Will it join itself or do I need to go again. How likely am I to get an appt with swine flu

Star- Bluewater is a shopping centre/mall. It's quite good, big M&S, John Lewis and lots of the other usual shops. Not too many independent shops which is a shame. It's only 20mins from me so if you fancy coming and meeting for lunch let me know. Maybe we could do it when MM is fully recovered? And of course anyone else. Are we still on for Godstone next week?

Jenwa- Glad work were understanding. Hope you are feeling happier today? I'm glad J isn't the only cheeky monkey getting everywhere. He's now worked out how to open the bottom draw on my dressing table, it's really heavy. The child has the strength of a bear!

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/07/2009 20:36

at all this talk of giving up bf.
Star - not that I've ever done it, so talking theoretically, but you should try to just drop 1 feed per 5-7days, so that you don't get engorged and end up with mastitis again! You can try just replacing it with cows milk, but if he doesn't seem to like it at first, then you can mix with EBM in ever increasing/decreasing proportions until it is 100% cows milk.

Have a feeling that my first period may not be a million miles off. Even took my mooncup out with me today just in case. Mind you, glad I didn't need it, as would like to reclean/sterilise as it's been sitting in the bathroom cabinet for the last 18 months!

No idea re belly button sorry rachie.

Was down your way today star. Took me over 2 hours to get home as the traffic was so bloody awful.

I added a few things to my basket on M&S, but then my mac died as dd had pulled the power cable out a few mins before and I hadn't noticed (battery is shot).

star6 · 23/07/2009 20:37

yes still on for godstone. meet up at bluewater for lunch sounds nice when MM is recovered, though will have to be holiday or weekend by then

star6 · 23/07/2009 20:39

you were down my way and didn't tell me?
next time let me know and I'll meet you for a coffee well I don't drink coffee... but for a juice... and a quick playdate for D and Q

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/07/2009 20:40

I was down visiting my friend who is due on 3rd August, so wouldn't have had time to meet up today, else I would have told you!

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/07/2009 20:41

Ahem - when you all coming up to Whipsnade Zoo or to play in my garden?

Marthasmama · 23/07/2009 20:45

I agree about the CSWS. I don't know if I want to give up so maybe I won't. However it would be nice if DH and I could have a weekend away at some point. It's our 5th anniversary this year and we wanted to do something special. And my mum is less than supportive of extending bfing which is a pain in the bottom as otherwise she is fabulous.

Rachie - I have no idea either! Why did J need it cauterised?

And oooo yes, Bluewater for lunch or a coffee would be good.

OP posts:
RachieW · 23/07/2009 21:04

MM- When we went for his 6 week check it was still weepy and gunky so the GP said it could be cauterised. I might just ring the Health Visitor for advice, if they answer/call back

RachieW · 23/07/2009 21:13

Ooh Star- forgot to say glad Godston is still on. CSWS are you able to come?

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/07/2009 21:33

Not sure rachie. No-one responded to my request to meet earlier than 11:30, and after my drive back today, there's no way I'm coming if I can't leave by 3 at the absolute latest!
