SOL, hope you are feeling a bit brighter today.

I am feeling a bit rough today. Ended up picking F up from nursery early yesterday as she had a temp of 40. Got her seen by the GP and it is viral, but I think she has kindly shared it with me

Have a good day all xx

LadyStealthPolarBear · 04/09/2009 12:26

oh no, lots of ill people
Are you planning to cancel, SOL?

leakyR · 04/09/2009 16:47

Hi all

I am so tired and have a wriggly Iris on my knee, so this will be quick.

Off to Lakes tomorrow for a week of rain with ILs. Looking forward to the break, but hoping G gets over his cold while we're away. The whining is making my head hurt.

at W's fall downstairs. I'm always imagining G falling down as he seems to mess about more at the top of the stairs than anywhere else.

SPB - do not have that baby until I am back. I liked Spatone in my OJ. Think I'm a bit weird

Off for chinese meal with dh, the dc and my mam at 6 o'clock. It's an early birthday thing as I'll be away opn Sunday, my actual birthday. Mam has been here all week. It's been nice to have her but it hasn't stopped raining since she arrived!

elkiedee · 04/09/2009 22:10

Happy birthday for Sunday Leaky. Hope the rain eases off for you. Today's weather forecast was dreadful here in Ilkley but we managed to spend quite a bit of time out and about without getting wet.

Hope you feel better soon SOL.

ScarletBandit · 05/09/2009 16:54

Happy birthday for Sunday leaky

I feel pants. Full up with a vile cold thanks to my lovely daughter! Hoping I feel better tomorrow.

Hi to all

runnyhabbit · 06/09/2009 09:06

Happy Birthday Leaky

Hope you're feeling better soon Sol x

Dh working today, so rather glad the weather is fine, so the boys can play outside

And we are already planning our next camping trip Friends and family are finding rather amusing that I love camping so much. Especially as I said, about 3 mths ago, in no uncertain terms, that camping was not my idea of fun

elkiedee · 06/09/2009 10:34

Runny, glad the camping was a pleasant surprise.

SOL and Scarlet, hope you feel better soon.

Am sad and yet a bit relieved to have come home. I love Ilkley and love seeing my mum but it's nice having a little more control over what happens and not worrying that my hot bath habit or Danny's noise are going to annoy my mum's dh. I don't think we'll get up there before Christmas, and that will be for a week perhaps even more, but maybe next year we'll have to plan more shorter visits - our last was Saturday-Wednesday and it disappeared very fast but perhaps worked better, this one was a week Saturday-Saturday.

I'm also hoping the LOs and I will see my mum in London the Tuesday after next, so that's not long now .

Hope all are well.

Sexonlegs · 06/09/2009 17:39

Happy Birthday Leaky!!

SB, hope you are feeling better xx

Runny, get you and your camping passion

Elkie, hope you are doing ok.

Where is everyone???

Thanks for your messages We ended up going to Holland, and it was fine. Exhausting, esp with the children, but strangely, feel a lot better I sometimes wonder if this house makes me feel il!!??

Right, need to crack on with tea, but see you later. xx

oooggs · 06/09/2009 20:35

Happy Birthday Leaky

Erin had a fall on friday and had cracked her head, she has stitches. She hit her head on the bobbly concrete floor jsut as we left the library, right next door to the doctors so I whizzed her straight in, blood puimping everywhere.

The 'lovely' receptionist said to leave the pram (single pushchair) outside (I was carrying a bleeding Erin with Jack holding onto my leg) 'not with my baby in it I'm not' was my reply

She is fine, Jack was more worried!

Glad you had a good time sol

elkiedee · 06/09/2009 23:26

oooggs, eek at the fall and doctor's receptionist, glad she's ok.

Sexonlegs · 07/09/2009 10:47

Morning

Oooggs, how awful. How is E now poor love? GP's receptionist are a different breed I am sure.

What's everyone up to today? Just me and K today and we are having a quiet one. I am shattered after the weekend!

Hope everyone is well.

LadyStealthPolarBear · 07/09/2009 11:13

Poor E oooggs
Glad you're feeling better SOL - SB, how are you??

ScarletBandit · 07/09/2009 11:34

Poor little Erin Oooggs, hope she is ok. Aren't doctor's receptionists the most helpful of creatures My mum is one, but she assures me she is nice!

SOL, glad you had a good time in Holland

F is still poorly so I haven't sent her to playgroup today. I took her to the GP earlier as she is still spiking high temps and she now has a chest infection. Feel kind of relieved tbh because at least now the antibiotics will make her better. She has been quite poorly over the weekend.

ScarletBandit · 07/09/2009 11:35

And I am ok thanks SPB. Still feel a bit rough, but have to get on since F isn't well either!

oooggs · 07/09/2009 12:33

My JoJo parcel has just arrived bedding for Erins room and the letters to put their names on the doors

easily pleased

oooggs · 07/09/2009 12:59

Katy - I take it you have someones contact details so we will know when this baby has arrived?

LadyStealthPolarBear · 07/09/2009 13:03

Can tell Dippy - is she around much these days? Or if anyone wants to volunteer for the job, email me your mobile number!
Bedding and letters sound lovely, if you're easily pleased then so am I! Got the baby's bedroom all done the other day (e.g. bedding on moses basket, changing area all set out) and keep going in to have a look at how lovely it all is! Unfortunately so does T, so far he's laid in the moses basket, bouced in the councy chair and keeps pulling all of the toys out of the toy box!

phdlife · 07/09/2009 13:14

Hey Leaky - my birthday yesterday too!

gtg. up 2:15-4am last night while dd fed, then practised reaching her toes It is soooo past my bedtime...

oooggs · 07/09/2009 13:24

I would love to know about your baby Katy - I have mailed you

LadyStealthPolarBear · 07/09/2009 13:34

got it thanks oooggs, have saved it. Although I plan to have an 'unplanned' home birth while MNing so it may not be necessary

CaptainDippy · 07/09/2009 22:43

YES!!!! ME PLEASE SPB!!!! I am on most days and would love baby news

elkiedee · 08/09/2009 00:08

I've emailed you my phone number SPB. Good luck with the MN live home birth, but make sure you do it at a time of evening when I can get online uninterrupted....

LadyStealthPolarBear · 08/09/2009 05:30

OK everyone, will text the three of you! Would imagine I'll end up in hospital but will use my phone this time (unfortunately not for MN )
How is everyone? T seems to have another ear infection and is really suffering so I've brought him downstairs to see if he'll settle on the sofa. His usual order of amoxycillin later today no doubt

ScarletBandit · 08/09/2009 12:15

So exciting this baby news!! Was extrememly tempted to mail you my number too, but I think you probably have enough contact details now!!

I am feeling loads better today thank goodness and F is on the mend. She started her antibiotics yesterday and she is definitely brighter today. She slept a bit more peacefully last night which was great, and didn't wake up with a high temp this morning, phew!
She is asleep atm, and she slept 2 hours in the day yesterday too. She dropped her day sleep over a year ago so it just goes to show how much this has run her down. The sleep is great for me though, peace and quiet!!

ScarletBandit · 08/09/2009 12:16

Has anyone else got two lots of the mumsnet latest bit and the useful tools? I have, and so the messages are scrunched up on the left side of the page!
