Hopeeveryone enjoys/are enjoying their hols.
Positive news here.
Our Mp's PA on the case re 20+weeks of Tax Credits and the same re Child benefit.
His PA phoned today to say they used the MP'S hotline to Child Benefit[after no response]and they have given the boys child benefit numbers and will be back dating the child benefit!!!!
She will now forward the numbers to Tax Credits so they can get a move on...the Home Office is looking into M's nationality[which we know is British!]But things are on the move. She is fab and will be receiving Big box o chocs and flowers when this sorted...I feel worried for people in our situation who don't complain etc.
Anyway DS1 is 10 tommorrow....Double Digits...I cannot really believe it!!!!!!!!and remember so well when he was born.I told him he will always be my baby even when he is 60!He tolerated this comment well

oooggs · 28/08/2009 22:03

Sexonlegs · 30/08/2009 17:39

Hello! Or should I say Bonjour!!

Back from France, and had a lovely time. The weather was fab, the house was gorgeous, and we saw and did lots. K was ill (tummy bug) for a couple of days which was a bit of a downer, but luckily we escaped it going round!

Lovely to be back home though - nothing like your own bed! I am getting old

Had a quick read but apologies if I miss stuff.

POTC, glad you had a good Grand Tour!

Leaky, hope your Mum is doing ok.

SPB, can't believe you have finished work and have only a couple of weeks to go! How exciting!

Oooggs, where did you head off to?

SB, hope you are having a lovely time away.

Dooby, glad things are coming together for you now.

Dippy, ikwym re school being required!!

Erm...

Brain emptied. Pretty knackered with all the travelling and unpacking - never seen so much washing!

Glad it is a Bank Holiday tomorrow; off to Mum and Dad's for lunch, and B is having a sleep-over so I can work on Tuesday. Dh away again for a few nights this week, and in fact every other week which is a pita. Hey ho.

Right, need to get on; may catch you lovelies later on.

LadyStealthPolarBear · 30/08/2009 17:41

Welcome back SOL
Glad you had a good time - is K fully better?

CaptainDippy · 30/08/2009 17:44

Glad you had a good time SOL

Cheeky request - any of of you with older DCs got any 6-7 yrs polo shirts, grey skirts, grey pinafores or a pair of size 11 black plimsolls??

Bramshott · 30/08/2009 20:55

I have a pair of size 10.5 clarks plimsolls if that's any good Dippy?

Dooby - glad that your MP is on the case. Happy Birthday to M! Wow - double figures sounds very grown up (am in denial about N turning 7, so what I will be like when she's 10 I dread to think!).

Not much to report - computer issues (grr), then away with work Friday & Saturday (knackered), now home and tired (with wine)!

Bramshott · 30/08/2009 21:02

St Austell is nice dooby - we go every year it is between 45 - 60 minutes from Plymouth

runny - glad you enjoyed the wine camping

hope you had a good time mj and that you managed to do loads despite the weather

Friend a couple of doors up - her son and his girlfriend are having a baby in January - they are on a tight budget and they are coming down on wednesday night to hopefully buy most of my baby stuff (I still have lots of doubles) and stuff that by December Luke will no longer need - will save me ebaying them and go towards my Christmas fund.

LadyStealthPolarBear · 31/08/2009 19:13

Ah brilliant oooggs, I love it when you can get rid of things. I'm having a good clear out here and it feels so good. PLus, as this baby is going to be the last (barring an accident) all the baby stuff will be got rid of instead of going in the loft this time
