Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Bramshott · 22/08/2009 22:00

DH is being all trendy at the V Festival in Chelmsford.

I am sitting here nursing a beer and thinking about doing the washing up - it's all glamour!

Still, off to my mum's with the girls tomorrow, and then up to London for the Prom some friends are playing in on Tuesday night so I shouldn't complain really.

DD1 has had wall-to-wall courses this week - 3 days of drama, followed by 3 days of music , but she has been a little trooper, and has really enjoyed it I think, despite the fact that her friend who was doing it with her bailed out after Day 1 of the music course saying she was "too tired"!

LadyStealthPolarBear · 23/08/2009 07:46

morning everyone
Feeling better SB?
Well the good nights have gone, to be replaced by the wingey feedy nights from hell

LadyStealthPolarBear · 23/08/2009 09:35

ScarletBandit · 23/08/2009 09:40

Oh SPB, lets hope the good nights return quickly x
And I am feeling much better, thanks for asking! Tbh I think I have just worked far too many hours lately and my body decided to protest!! Feeling much better today after a day at home yesterday and a good sleep!

Oooggs, have a fab holiday!

Bramshott, your dd1 has a fab social calendar, wish mine was even a fraction as interesting as hers!

I am having another calm day at home today, just need to pop out to see a friend later but am enjoying a bit of time off. Have a good day ladies xx

ScarletBandit · 23/08/2009 09:43

Thanks for that SPB, have just left her a message, so exciting!

POTC · 23/08/2009 22:06

Hi all, just popped on to say hi/bye before we trundle off on visits

Watch out Eddas, here we come

leakyR · 23/08/2009 22:47

Just a quickie.

We're all fine here. Very little sleep last night. Not the dc keeping me awake but the bloody neighbours. They've been working on their garden all week. Yesterday loads of chairs and 2 gazebos appeared and dh said he got the impresion they were having an engagement party for their dd who no longer lives at home. They can be noisy at times but we figured that a family party shouldn't get too out of hand. WRONG!! The music and chat was loud but we could maange to get the kids to bed and drop off ourselves as our rooms are at the front of the house. At 1am it all kicked off in the street below, shouting screaming and swearing, lots of swearing until nearly 4am. G was woken twice and to be honest I didn't know what to say to him when he asked "What dat man and lady doing?" We live in a quiet street with lots of older neighbours so it's not really what you'd expect. Grrr.

The dc are fine Iris is getting huge, smiley and noisy and is already 4 months old!!! George has been naughtier recently but I think it's because the summer hols have spoiled my routine of diversions and activities for him.

We had a quandary about moving back to the North East when dh was offered a jobin Gateshead. after a week of considering our options we've decided to stay put.

My dad finally moved out! My mam is still in a bad way but slowly getting her head together.

My dbro and his dp had a baby girl on August 3rd. Hannah, she's beautiful and seems tiny next to Iris.

Well that's huge for a quick message. Hope all are well and I'll catch up soon I hope.

LadyStealthPolarBear · 24/08/2009 08:47

Morning everyone
Enjoy your trip POTC
at that leaky, you're right that you'd expect a family party to have music and talking but not fighting!
Congratulations to your brother.
Can't believe you decided not to move up here I'm taking that personally!

Well T slept OK again last night, woke at 4.15 but had slept from 8 until then, so was fine. For some reason it's just Friday and Saturday nights that are dreadful (so far, fingers crossed...) - I felt like a zombie yesterday. I'm sure he just does it so we don't get too complacent!

Doobydoo · 24/08/2009 09:00

EEk to party Leaky
Congrats to your brother
Really hope your mum is ok.
Have fun to all on their holsand POTC's Grand Tour.
Dp in Somerset for 8 weeks sunday to Thursday night.
Have good day all.

elkiedee · 24/08/2009 09:03

Good to hear from you Leaky. It seems like yuo only just moved to where you are.

I'm so looking forward to next Saturday, a whole week at my mum's. But at the same time as counting off the time until we go up there, I'm very conscious of my maternity leave ticking away - I've had 30 of my 39 weeks already - need to go and talk to my boss this week about what the plan is.

ScarletBandit · 24/08/2009 10:53

Morning ladies.

Leaky, lovely to hear from you. Your neighbours sound a bit like mine. They had a birthday party on Friday night, but were very noisy, especially when all the guests were leaving at 1.30am. Really does annoy me when they can't be even be slightly considerate of those living around them. My street is normally really quiet too!

Elkie, have a fab time at your mums when you go. I can't believe you are so far into your maternity leave already

POTC, enjoy your hols

Not much going on here today, raining yet again. Going on our weekend to Devon on Friday so will be spending this week sorting out clothes to take. Feel like I need to take clothes for summer and autumn just in case as the weather here is quite chilly and wet atm, but I am hoping for some sunshine when we are away!

CaptainDippy · 24/08/2009 11:41

Yo!

Yey for duchesse - hope all goes well for her

and at your neighbours Leaky! Hope that's the end of that Hope your mum is doing ok. Congratulation to your bro and partner on their birth of their little girlie

Just working atm and trying to upload pics onto FB (nightmare) Off to Mini Railway this pm with my rabble, friend and yummy Godson ....

leakyR · 24/08/2009 21:20

LOL Katy! More like I want to be 150 miles away from MY dysfunctional family.

CaptainDippy · 25/08/2009 14:24

I am

elkiedee · 25/08/2009 16:47

Glad to hear it Dippy, any special news in particular?

POTC · 25/08/2009 21:24

hello all

Fab day with Eddas (well half a day really by the time I'd got myself un-lost ) on Monday, J quite funny in his adoration of her dd

Arrived with Ange last night (yes, got lost on the way here too, stupidly because I was trying to avoid going the wrong way like I had first time I came here but actually ended up avoiding the right way )
J awake til gone midnight after sleeping all the way here and then up again at 7.30 , but did make up for it by sleeping all afternoon!
J and Izzy have been hilarious, lots of arguments and disagreements including one which ended up with them telling each other in cross voices to go and sit on the step while me and Ange were wetting ourselves with laughter and trying to hide it from them
Off to see Dippy tomorrow and really hoping the forecast heavy rain doesn't appear

Ta Ta for now!

LadyStealthPolarBear · 26/08/2009 12:03

My last day at work today

ScarletBandit · 26/08/2009 12:25

Ooh fab SPB! Enjoy your last day, and then the time off

POTC, glad you are enjoying your trip. Hoping the rain has passed you by. It is awful here, but sometimes the south of England seems to miss these weather fronts so you never know!

Just got back from school shoe shopping for ds. That is him sorted for next week, can't quite believe that the holidays have whizzed by so quickly. I have enjoyed him being here with me in the days and will miss him when he goes back!

elkiedee · 26/08/2009 13:16

Already SPB? That was quick. How long are you off for before the due date?

I've had exciting news from two RL friends who had babies in April 2007 (unlike me of course as D was so late) - one had her second son on Friday and the other is 8 weeks pregnant.

LadyStealthPolarBear · 26/08/2009 13:40

to your friends' news!
My due date is 2 weeks on Saturday

LadyStealthPolarBear · 27/08/2009 15:02

Hello! anyone there??

ScarletBandit · 27/08/2009 17:55

I am here, but signing off until after the bank holiday weekend as I am off on my weekend break tomorrow!

Have a fab weekend ladies, see you next week

LadyStealthPolarBear · 27/08/2009 19:00

you too SB - see you then

elkiedee · 27/08/2009 19:39

Am around - am going up to Ilkley on Saturday but will probably still be hanging out on mn late evenings.

LadyStealthPolarBear · 27/08/2009 19:42

hi elkie
