Hi AM, lovely to hear from you after so long, congratulations on the new job.

On a more cheerful note, since we last saw you, we've had a few new babies and there are more on the way.

ScarletBandit · 19/08/2009 08:36

Hi AuntieMeemz, lovely to see you
Glad to hear you are doing ok and congrats on the job x

I am feeling much better today. Went to bed at 7pm last night and didn't surface until just after 7am this morning so I have slept a full twelve hours!

My dad is having the dc's for a couple of hours this morning for me to go to the Blood Transfusion place. I gave blood a while back and signed up to be a platelet donor, so now I am off to get a sample taken to see if I am able to do it.

See you all later ladies. Come on oooggs, I am waiting for your Devon ideas!

StealthBearWipesBumOnDailyMail · 19/08/2009 10:30

Hello AuntieM - great stuff about job, what is it?

All ok here, just catching up on work bits and DH has 3pm finish today

runnyhabbit · 19/08/2009 17:19

Afternoon all

Hiya auntie meemz

Caz - so sorry to here your news

Well, on the sleep front, I managed 10.15pm til 7.40am Mainly because the boys were at mums, and I rediscoverd my love of Budweiser I love that drink spent many a Sunday night drinking Bud in a pub called The Roof, (SB, did I ever see you there?). Was great - no under age drinkers, because they wouldn't be able to get up for school the next day Music was fab...eye candy even better...ahhhh I'm really enjoying this trip down memory lane

Ahem, now back to reality Very productive day - got the boys school/winter shoes - and no queueing was involved Got J uniform a few weeks ago, so we're all set. Can't believe they go back in 2 weeks - where on earth has the time gone?

Getting more and more bits for camping - we have been invited to several "end of summer" camping trips. Think it's just an excuse for a piss up As long as I've got my Bud, I'll be happy

runnyhabbit · 19/08/2009 17:21

Just running in quickly to say "au revoir" as we set sail for France tonight!

Am running so late as overslept; well woke at 5.30 thinking of extra things to pack, and then fell in to a deep sleep unti 7.30. Finally hauled myself out of bed at 8! Now shoveling breakfast, and need to get K to nursery and the cats to the cattery, oh and get ourselves dressed. HELP!!!!!

Hope everyone is ok, lots of love to all, and see you next weekend

elkiedee · 21/08/2009 09:11

Hoping rain clears up today - wanting to go out for picnic and spent pm at Mini Railway ...

Sexonlegs · 21/08/2009 13:53

Dippy, B got up at 7.30 and went downstairs to watch TV and K didn't wake up until 8 - quite a regular occurence

Girls now despatched and have nearly packed cases. Had planned to clean the kitchen floor as it is yuk, and I hate coming back to a mess (me, anal????)

Better go!!!

StealthPolarBear · 21/08/2009 16:04

Oh yes, POTC - the "Sunshine Coast" will work for us

ScarletBandit · 22/08/2009 09:17

Morning ladies. Feeling a little rough here today, was sick in the night so feeling a little sorry for myself! On the plus side I am now off work for two weeks which will be fab. May get an agency shift early next week for the cash, but other than that I am on my holidays!!

SOL, I know you will probably be in France already, but have a fab time!

POTC, so cute of M to write you a letter. Would have had me in a blubbering mess too! A talk from Dippy eh? Should you be scared?!!

Oh Runny, you took me down memory lane too. Yes, I remember The Roof very very well, I actually met dh in there through a mutual friend!

Right, off now, see you ladies later xx

oooggs · 22/08/2009 09:27

MJ - when are you down?
Living Coasts in Torquay, Paignton Zoo, Nice pub just outside of Torquay (Hungry Horse chain) fab for kids, The Willows shopping has a massive M&S, Next, Mothercare & Sainsbury if you are really bored. Trago Mills at Newton Abbot is a big shopping selling everything really cheap also has outside playarea, soft play, steam train, animals and bits like that.

We don't venture up that way too much.

Plymouth has the new Shopping Centre (Drake Circus) which is indoors but not as good as Cribbs. Of and of course a Jump!!!

oooggs · 22/08/2009 09:36

12 years ago today dh and I moved into our first house and so much has happened since

elkiedee · 22/08/2009 10:08

Oooh oooggs, that's an exciting anniversary. 12 years ago today I'd probably just moved house again but I was living in rooms in shared properties or in other people's homes. My landlady in this one had callbarred outgoing calls, and she kept saying she was going to undo it but not doing so. I had to go over the road to the phone box to make calls.

6 months later dp and I got together and at the end of that year we moved in here.

I was going to say I feel nostalgic but actually I don't feel much nostalgia about all those years of never feeling like I had a proper home.

CaptainDippy · 22/08/2009 16:52

It's our 7th Wedding Anniversary on Monday - good grief!!

Enjoy your hols SB

ScarletBandit · 22/08/2009 17:20
