CaptainDippy · 17/08/2009 22:34

Room = fab oooggs

CaptainDippy · 17/08/2009 22:35

Your mum is a sweetie SOL - how is she doing?? xx

StealthBearWipesBumOnDailyMail · 18/08/2009 09:11

My SOL luring plan worked then
Good luck getting sorted, and your parents are lovely (and I bet they have fun too!)
Well after all my boasting last night wasn't wonderful - not too bad though, can't complain!

cazboldy · 18/08/2009 09:32

Feeling a bit weird..... a bloke I know through cricket has committed suicide yesterday

He always seemed so happy - always the one larking around - all the little boys adored him....

guess beneath that happy face he was miserable....

37 years old

such a waste

noddyintoyland · 18/08/2009 09:40

Oh no Caz I'm so sorry.

noddyintoyland · 18/08/2009 09:49

Sorry it's Ange!

Hello everyone else...As usual I've been reading and lurking.

Good to hear from POTC and Pesha.

SOL - With regard to your poll. Izzy is still in her cot, I have no plans to move her as yet, because she sleeps and settles so well in it.
She decided last week she wasn't wearing nappies anymore she managed quite well for the first two days (one of those being at my Mum's ) but after that she started holding on and not weeing for 4-5 hours and then dribbling some out. So we decided back to nappies for a little while.

oooggs - In answer to your girl question. Izzy loves Peppa Pig, and mostly boy stuff that J likes star wars , ben 10 etc. Beginning to like Dora and Fifi.

SPB - Sorry last night wasn't so good.

Caz - Your need for a shag did make me pmsl That dress is lovely I'd quite like it for myself!!

Bye for now xxx

Can't remember anything else

StealthBearWipesBumOnDailyMail · 18/08/2009 10:07

that's awful caz, I'm so sorry Did he have a family?
We had the same thing a little while ago with an old school friend (of DH's, I knew him but wasn't a friend) - he died suddenly which was awful, then it came out he had committed suicide. Really makes you wonder what goes on behind people's masks. This guy had a toddler and a 10 week old and apparently this all happened after an argument with his wife.

StealthBearWipesBumOnDailyMail · 18/08/2009 10:08

Sorry that turned into me-me-me!
It's just such a shock, I hope you're OK caz.
Hi Ange

cazboldy · 18/08/2009 10:23

He had no dc of his own, but a 12 year old and a 9 year old whose Mum he had lived with since she was pg with the 9 year old who he treated as if they were his own, and who clearly treated him as their dad.

Unforunately he had split with their Mum nearly a year ago. He was drinking too much, and after a lot of deliberation she had thrown him out, to try and make him wake up to how he had been behaving but they had remained very close.

apparantly he had tried to gas himself with the car in the garage, but a neighbour found him, and stopped him, but then just went off to work.... and then he hung himself.

He sent a text saying goodbye to his ex girlfriend, but as they had been texting, she just thought he was saying "bye" and thought no more of it

Then a man from cricket rang my mum last night, and explained what had happened..... My mum went round to see he lady (as they are good friends) and she didnt know

cazboldy · 18/08/2009 10:25

Im fine, but it is a bit of a shock, and you cant help but feel bad

Bramshott · 18/08/2009 10:43

Oh no Caz, how awful. Hope your mum is okay too - that must have been very hard for her.

StealthBearWipesBumOnDailyMail · 18/08/2009 10:57

Yes that is a shock! Can't believe his ex didn't know - your mum must have had to break the news!

ScarletBandit · 18/08/2009 10:57

Caz, that is just awful. Hope you are ok xx

Oooggs, we are staying in a B&B in Torquay. Tried to get into Paignton but had left it too late and all the ones that looked nice were full so we decided to go a little further up the coast! We are heading your way as we want to go to Paignton Zoo, maybe Sea Life in Plymouth depending on the weather, the beach and possibly that other sea life type place which I think is in Torquay itself. Any ideas for good places to visit?

Not much more to say here as I am sleepy. Worked nights last night again (mainly because I will have the money next Friday for us to take to Devon with us). Will be up all day with the dc's so looking forward to dh getting home at around 4.45pm this afternoon as I will be hanging on by a thread by then!

POTC · 18/08/2009 12:24

Caz that's awful
Really does make you realise how important it is to have a support network

Think I have my tour itinerary planned now
Monday - Eddas
Tuesday - Ange
Wednesday - Dippy

Also hoping to visit Dooby at some point and Caz too

I neeeeed to get away, J already asking if we can go and pick M up - he's only been gone just over a day!

ScarletBandit · 18/08/2009 12:42

Hello POTC!

ScarletBandit · 18/08/2009 12:47

Sorry POTC, have just realised that you sent me an email but it is dated from several days ago. Have you sorted things? I am sure you have probably had lots of advice already!

CaptainDippy · 18/08/2009 12:55

Oooooh, yey POTC - it is going to be fun

Oh Caz Such a waste and so sad for those hcildren he treated as his own and all his friends and family. No words .....

POTC · 18/08/2009 13:11

You can mail me back if you want to but yes, they've all told me I'm right

ScarletBandit · 18/08/2009 13:39
