Glad to hear you're getting your money back for the triple buggy oooggs.

Good to see you POTC. Congratulations on the new job. Hope things go well for Skott too.

Sexonlegs · 16/08/2009 09:57

Morning

Dh away with the girls, so have only just got up! Had the cats sleep up with me as a treat!!

Oooggs, good news on the buggy front!

Caz, did you get your shag

POTC, hope you are well today and managed to get M all packed.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Had a great day yesterday at the Middlesex Sevens (Rugby); many hours spent with my binoculars scanning for hunky rugby players - who are probably half my age!!!

Planning to go shopping today as dh is camping with the girls - v brave!

Quick poll -

whose lo is still in a cor/cotbed with sides up

whose lo is not potty trained/started on that route

oooggs · 16/08/2009 10:21

Erin is potty traing (week & a half so far) and is still in her cot bed with sides on

Jack is still in nappies and no intention as yet to train him, he is in a bed with a bed guard

so SOL can cover all avenues there

those of you with girls - what do they play with/watch on tv/like to read????

Erin is bombarded with Bob, Thomas, Little Red Tractor, Pirate Books, train stes & cars - need some ideas for her - Thank you

Sexonlegs · 16/08/2009 11:08

Oooggs, K just watches whatever B watches - sometimes CBeebies, sometimes CBBC - although K never really watches for long.

Book-wise, K loves car/train books! She also likes books with animals in - Dear Zoo is a favourite.

She plays with trains, cars, and dolls.

runnyhabbit · 16/08/2009 11:18

morning all

Sol - William is in a full size single bed (no bed guard) and haven't started potty training. Sometimes he tells me when he's done a wee (and his nappy feels warm) but going to wait a while.

POTC - very good to see you back

Oooggs - from I've heard (of parents with girls) Fifi, Dora and Peppa Pig seem to be the favourites

Caz - best not get me started on men atm Have realised that over the past week (which we've both had off) I have not had one single lie in. The boys still get up anywhere between 6 and 7, and they'll only play in their bedroom for so long. Did let dh have it both barrels this morning, which made me feel a bit better

And thanks to everyones advice re J swimming x

StealthBearWipesBumOnDailyMail · 16/08/2009 11:41

morning
T in a full sized single - although he did fall out tghe other night
Not potty traiing, he ocassionally says he wants potty so we let him sit on it, but only one wee so far! NO plans to speed things up

Bramshott · 16/08/2009 12:28

Hi everyone. Back from holidays and not caught up at all!

O is still in a cot, and not remotely interested in potty training - long may it continue! She's my baaaaaby!

How are you all?

Bramshott · 16/08/2009 12:30

Dooby - we were in the West, near Galway. How are things with you.

Nutty (if you're still around) - congrats, and great name!!!!

StealthBearWipesBumOnDailyMail · 16/08/2009 13:02

hi Bramshott, did you have a good holiday?
We've had a couple of dreadful nights with T - ended up taking him to OOH at 2am after we'd been up for over two hours - anther ear infection. It seems much better now so I'm hoping for a sleep through tonight

StealthBearWipesBumOnDailyMail · 16/08/2009 21:21

i want to cry
T still wide awake
No sleep last night and looks like this is going to be as bad
I have so much to do before I can go to bed

Sexonlegs · 16/08/2009 21:30

Evening all.

Girls and dh back from their camping trip, and all seems to have gone well.

Welcome home Bramshott.

Thanks all for responding to my poll. Always good to get an idea of where everyone is at. K is still in her cotbed with the sides up. She is also no-where near starting to be out of nappies. She tells me when she has done a wee or poo sometimes, but not consistently!

SPB, is T in bed and crying? Or is he not in bed yet?

StealthBearWipesBumOnDailyMail · 16/08/2009 22:08

Hi SOL
he;s asleep now, after dreadful night last night we both slept late this morning and then he had an hour's sleep this afternoon - must make sure he doesn't do that from now on!
Anyway, must go to bed at some point. T sounds similar to K
"I pooed"
"Oh right, have you had a poo?"
"Noo"
"Gerry [giraffe] pooed"

cazboldy · 17/08/2009 09:51

Hello

SPB hope your night wasn't too bad

SOL - no! I didn't give in and go and ask him! lol, but feeling better today if you get my drift

ScarletBandit · 17/08/2009 11:10

Hi ladies. Here I am again for my weekly visit! I feel like I am constantly at work lately. Am very tired, but the extra hours are keeping me sane on the financial front, and paying for a bank holiday weekend break to devon so it's not all bad!

SOL, F is still in her cot bed with the sides up, more from me not having time to convert to the bed! I have to say that she sleeps so well in it just now that I am reluctant to change anything!
She is not potty trained either, will always come and tell me when she has pooed, but won't tell me before the event iykwim. She does the occassional wee on the potty, but I think she will be in nappies for some time yet.

I am very sorry that I haven't really caught up, except to say hello to POTC, and Caz I am glad you are feeling better today

StealthBearWipesBumOnDailyMail · 17/08/2009 12:36

Wonderful night thanks -T slept through, hopefully he's back to his good habits
I'm glad so many others aren't potty trained - HV made me feel like a neglectful mother because I hadn't 'trained' him yet

ScarletBandit · 17/08/2009 13:17

SPB, glad you had a better night last night. Don't let the HV make you feel bad, they will all be out of nappies when they are ready and there is little point in pushing them to get there any quicker imo!
And I really like your name choices too. We had Dylan picked out for F had she been a boy, would never have used it though, since BIL used it for his son just a few months before F was born. Thank goodness she was a girl or I may have struggled for another nice boys name!!

cazboldy · 17/08/2009 15:47

daft woman SPB

You can't "train" them anyway IME hey just do it hemelve when they are ready..... and I definitely wouldnt push it if I were you atm - Jumping up and down every 5 mins to go to the loo isn't my idea of fun at 8 monhs pg! and he would more than likely go backwards when LO arrives anyway..........

but then again you will have 2 in nappies........

StealthBearWipesBumOnDailyMail · 17/08/2009 17:23

I know, that's what I thought! We've bought potties and 'big boy' pants, and now we're just working on speech so he can tell us when he needs to go. I don't want to push it any further. Thanks you two
2 in nappies...hmm- well T loves changing nappies so he'll probably do it for me Unfortunately it'll be old nappy off, bum cream, wipe with one sheet of toilet paper and that's it - no cleaning or new nappy He may need some training on that

oooggs · 17/08/2009 20:03

Don't push the training - we did with James - due to peer pressure and we paid for it infact today Erin had one accident and so did James (he is 5.5). Erin is ready, Jack is no where near ready.

To in nappies isn't a problem, I had 3 in nappies and still have 4 in nappies at night!!!

Glad things are better caz

sol - well done dh on a successful trip

mj - where abouts in Devon? No not trying to gate crash!!

Glad to see you back Bramshott

Saturday night was hell, Jack in with me and dh in with Erin, last night me in with Erin and dh up most of night with Luke - we are shattered

Luke has a chest infection and is now on anti b's. Just hoping for some decent sleep tonight so we can both function.

oooggs · 17/08/2009 20:04

TWO

StealthBearWipesBumOnDailyMail · 17/08/2009 20:10

oh no, hope you get some sleep oooggs

oooggs · 17/08/2009 20:19

yes I hope T is ok again tonight - we seem to go through this alot katy!

StealthBearWipesBumOnDailyMail · 17/08/2009 20:26

T has actually been fine recently for a few weeks - sleeping through or one quick wake and straight back to sleep - sometimes no feed
Talking of potty training he was sat at the kitchen table when he told DH he'd had a poo. DH peeked down the side of his nappy and said no he hadn't. Well he had - it was just heavily to the other side Need to go and dettol the bar stool now!

oooggs · 17/08/2009 20:29

Nice , L poos to one side as well [weird]

Sexonlegs · 17/08/2009 21:54

Poo talk and SOL is back

Hope you all get better nights tonight.

I am not going to push on the potty training front either - they all get it at some point.

How is everyone? I am knackered - slept terribly last night - and not even dc-related. Just woke up with my heart racing, and then felt ill. Bizarre. Geting stressed about going away at the end of the week I think. So much to sort out. Dh was supposed to be off all week, and now he is having to work - including being away Wednesday and Thursday night Mum, bless her, phoned today and said she and Dad are going to come over on Thursday afternoon and have the girls while I sort stuff out. Love her
