MissJ Teeth? Or perhaps a growth spurt? Is he better now, or could it be related to having been/being ill?

Sympathies on the job front SAS - what kind of post are you advertising for? Is it London based? Know what you mean about people overestimating their capabilities, I'm struggling with DH and BIL who are both looking for opportunities right now and both seem to be wanting £35k+ jobs when they are coming out of redundancy/self-employment with industry experience that is becoming fast irrelevant. It's a tough world out there at the moment, I would be snapping your arm off for a job if I needed one, whether or not I was living with parents still.

Dog kiddocare and blooming marvellous have clothes in their sales. (Just had a couple of shopping accidents - ah well that's what he gets for leaving me at home alone with a credit card. )

moosemama · 14/07/2009 14:34

Kiddicare not kiddocare!

PatTheHammer · 14/07/2009 14:41

Dog!!!!!!!!! Be back later, just wanted to say hi quickly

missjackson · 14/07/2009 17:40

Lenni I think maybe a growth spurt, he doesn't seem to want to let go of my nipple at the moment! He is fast asleep in the car now - disaster bedtime-wise as he fell asleep at 5.30pm but I haven't got the heart to wake him up as he's been so miserable all day. Cheered up for his Daddy though when I took him up to the farm, and he even sat on a horse for the first time by himself (with Daddy holding on, obviously). He seems better after his cold, so who knows? Maybe teeth as he has been ramming his fist in his mouth, but that's not unusual! Maybe just got out of bed the wrong side...

dog that horse sounds lovely - but try to keep your friend as the owner if that's possible, then you avoid any nasty vet bills etc! Hope you found something great to spend your paypal money on - it never seems real, does it?!

Nye is a bit older than Isla - 29th Jan. In our Mum&Baby group, there are 3 boy babies all born in the same week including Nye - it's really sweet to watch them grow together. Nye of course is the biggest!

DH is away and ds1 has come home from school poorly. He had a temp of 37.9 when he came home from school and 38.5 just before bed, has had two episodes of diarrhea at school (why on earth didn't they call me?!) has a sore throat and a headache. Am seriously hoping its not swine flu. He ate his tea though so not desperately ill. Have given him some calpol and made him drink lots of water and he has gone off to bed. Am feeling a bit twitchy about it though, think I will be checking on him A LOT through the night.

So we have been liberally covering ourselves in antibacterial hand gel and I've been going overboard with the milton spray. Hopefully it is just a virus and noone else will get it.

Really wish I could just take both the boys out of school now. They aren't doing any work any more anyway and only have until next Tuesday until they break up. There have been cases of what sounds incredibly like SF at the school, but nothing has been said. One of the suspect cases involved a boy in ds1's class last week and his mum sent him back to school after 3 days. I spoke with his mum and she told me how ill her eldest daughter was with it - she had every symptom on the list.

I'm not really that worried about ds1, he's a tough little cookie, but more concerned about dd and ds2 as he had such a lot of lung trauma with the flu and pneumonia at Christmas.

Oh I am such a worry wort. It will probably come to nothing.

Dog Tree has been on a day out with dd's preschool today. Hopefully we'll hear from her later tonight.

stephaniefry · 14/07/2009 20:36

hello there

just been reading last few posts - i know all about off days, let me tell you...

is anyone else having sleeping problems still? 7 mo ds just won't sleep all night (wakes 4ish times nowadays), i'm strictly anti controlled crying (but honestly don't judge others who do) but i'm slowly going mad with long-term sleep deprivation i think.

i know the real answer is just to ride it out. wondered if anyone else with more than one dc had long term problems that eventually went away! so i can live in hope. have posted and ranted on sleep threads in the past but don't go there any more, as it's too depressing!

oh blimey, don't listen to me, i'm having one of those days..

blw still going great guns - if only i had a personal cleaner upper after each meal!

treedelivery · 14/07/2009 20:43

Hello!

Hellooooooo Dog Welcome back!

Amby grand, people use them up to about 9-12 months I believe. this is the home site.
Are you thinking of one or for a friend? I think they are lush myself, and if dd would agree to be put down anywhere, she would really enjoy it!
We use ours on and off for bounces, and quite regulary for sleeps, though she is recently going in her crib more. Don't tell anyone but things have been better here recently. Funny you mention it though, we are going to use it tonight!

Am also thinking of selling it on should the colic keep at bay for another month or so. Pass on the good healing hand etc!
Great news about Arlo and the house and garden

Moose I can see why you would want to keep them off. Would they miss lots of social events?
Don't apologise about not getting back to the thread last night - no need! Sounds nothing like milk intolerance which is fabbo!

Had the preschool outing, was fab. I will miss those teachers so so much - they are stars Also no playschool tomorrow, non eThursday as usual, and only a morning on Friday. Then 8 loooooong weeks of full time bored child and bored baby. Argh!

Sparkle - can I have the job? I don't know what the job is exactly, but am v v v reluctant to go back to my own do can I have yours instead?
Glad you have the itti sorted, inserts never look like they will fit, until you pull the nappy to stretch the leg elastic. Then it all pops into place.

Haven't read thread properly

treedelivery · 14/07/2009 20:46

SF - me. My sympathy.
DD is up between 8pm and 10pm, sleeps till 1am ish, then up for feed. then up 3-4ish, then again 6-7ish.

Am dribbling tired most of the time.

oh tree - it's madness isn't it?

like feels quite surreal sometimes when you're this knackered doesn't it. i wonder what it will be like when i get to sleep again!

stephaniefry · 14/07/2009 20:58

life feels. see, can't spell even.

treedelivery · 14/07/2009 21:01

Knackering!

My mum helps out loads, as do the in laws - and the one night I get off means the next day I am not so much dribble tired as vomit tired. It's like the body says 'oh I like this lets do more' and tries to slow you down.

My 1st slept fine at night so this has been a very difficult time for me. Undestatement of the year

What suprises me is how physically tired I feel. My legs and feet ache towards afternoon. My neck is stiff and achey and I have a lower back ache a lot too. I have a fairly constant sore throat and a headache that just lives in my head, usually just behind my eyes. It just lives there, it's comfortable.......the git.

You're not alone, and it will get better

kittypink · 14/07/2009 21:07

Hia all, I havn't posted for a few days and you ladies have sure been busy! I will attempt to catch up.

Have just had a swig of low alcohol perry and its gone straight to my head! lightweight!

DD was weighed yesterday and is 19 pounds at 23 weeks which puts her on 98th centile!

Am still waiting for news on my cardiac trace as there is a 7 week waiting list at the place they refered me to first. trying not to worry.

moose sorry to hear that ds1 is ill, I hope its its just a bug, but even if it were swine flu, pretty much everyone recovers well from it. Its probably just a bad summer cold.

kittypink · 14/07/2009 21:12

stephfry DD still doesnt sleep through, she did for about a week once. We got a vtech sleepy bear sweet dreams light and music box. Its great because she sends herself back to sleep pressing the button on it and watching the lights. Not always but sometimes! We dont do controlled crying either.

PatTheHammer · 14/07/2009 21:14

Tree and SF, I wholly sympathise at the moment. Z up at 10.30pm for feed and then twice in the night (out of character for him too as he has had long periods of time where he has just done one waking). Last few nights have been HORRENDOUS though as DD has been up at intervals as very poorly. Throw going back to work into mix and you get me=living dead .

Went to docs this morning and DD has an ear and throat infection. Antibiotics required, just waiting for the botic bum to appear.....it gives her the serious trots!

Lovely day today, went on a trip to the WWF at Slimbridge with the kids. I sneaked Zach along so wasn't like work at all. He enjoyed being cooed over by lots of teenage girls, and some boys too .

moose Poor DS, hope its not the swine flu. Really worried here too at the moment. Fingers crossed for you. I would just keep them off if I were you, the end of term is more about social/fun stuff than educational and maybe they can miss this one year if you are worried about health?

dog how cute latest photos on FB. Big yay for house and garden. How sweet that Beth thinks Arlo shres her dreams .

missJ sounds like a growth/developmental spurt. I wll consult Stripey's fantastic wonder weeks for you. Although he can't get much bigger, eh! .

Read rest in a mo....

kittypink · 14/07/2009 21:20

EEEK! strange poo situation

Have just been up to DD because of squeaking and she was really straining, I looked in her nappy and it was really small and solid, thats not normal for her. could she be a bit constipated or maybe because i've given her too many veg?

Ok, moose sports day sounds manic. Hope BLW went well and you are coping with your 3 without DH.....sounds a nightmare!

dog good on you with the college thing and think its sensible to hold off on number 4 for a while. Give your body a rest woman. Good news about Isla's ears and Arlo's speech . Boo to periods though, not looking forward to that!

sparkle sounds awfully taxing with the job thing. Should be loads of capable people milling about and all you seem to get is the dregs . Mind you, you should see some of the whack-jobs that turn up for teaching interviews......how they are still in the profession is beyond me .

Kitty welcome to the fat baby club, there are plenty of us in it on here . Hope your appt comes through soon.

kittypink · 14/07/2009 21:28

Thanks dog am glad you are enjoying your house.

kittypink · 14/07/2009 21:32

My computer is going sooooo slooooowwwwly today!

pat Thanks! my Dad thinks she looks like the michelin man which I think is quite harsh
