no1putsbabyinthecorner · 08/07/2009 10:23

Oh and my sister has practicaly given me her horse
She may need a hip replacement (at 36) so can't ride until x ray results, well can't ride anyway due to pain.
So went to mum's shop got kitted out with everything, stepped out few hundred quid lighter, have all the horse tack in my boot, all set to go but...... no babysitter or when I have it has been pissing chucking it down.
How is that fair. [stamps feet in the manner of spoilt child]

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 08/07/2009 10:26

My mum also gave dd some Jodphurs, she looks so very cute

TwilightSurfer · 08/07/2009 11:16

OK! I'm up but I'm not happy about it.

Miamla · 08/07/2009 11:17

pleased you're having fun with the playdough

happy anniversary TS

hi to everyone else, you're on a previous page

and i can't blame my seive brain on a lack of sleep either. we had 3 or 4 wakeups, DS decided 4.45 was a good time to get up. I'm played with him for a little while and then nudged DP at 6 to take over. I then slept from 7 til 10 as did DS

hmm, it would seem it was an hour since i started writing this so hello to everyone i'm x posting with

hi miamla. tis reese. we had a discussion a little while ago about the 1am and 5am wakes requiring food. i explained to her that this was a step backwards and was not good for either of us. she quietly took it all in (with bottle in hand). i think my tone took her by surprise because she is not use to being the one getting a scolding. time to get with the program!!

dd1 got out of bed but i swiftly diverted her back without issue.

dh is STILL in bed.

at least i've done a bit of banking and balancing.

no1 that's totally cool about the horse. not cool about your sister's pain, of course.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 08/07/2009 12:55

Hope you are feeling a bit better ts miamla hope you get some rest today.
Yes I have rode in rain before, but not in the rain we have been having the last day or so.
By the time I had towel dried her and tacked up she would be soaked again.
Not to mention what state I would look. Not sure rain and red hair dye is a good mix.
lol
My mum persuaded me I needed this gorgeous 'ANKY' horse coat, which I suppose is versatile as doesn't look just like a horse coat iykwim (could wear it anytime)
It also has a hood so I can cover the hair. I have not had a coat with a hood for year's
Only thing is I know If it rains I will probably get hair dye on it. Should have just got a cheap waterproof.

I am starting to think thos whole hair dye lark is not that great afterall.

Hi everyone. Can I say I loved the meet yesterday. Lovely ladies, and lovely babies Seb well and truly tired out, he slept in the pushchair despite the thunder, lightning and the noise of hail bouncing off a metal roof. My train got cancelled so had to wait another half hour for the next one, so a total of 50 minutes waiting watching the weather.
Stupid me had a latte in the cafe though and ended up awake till 3 this morning! Aaargh. I KNOW not to have caffeine after 2pm, but I still did it. Anyhoo, need to do some serious washing up. Am also going to weigh myself again this evening, so hopefully will have lost more weight.

TS hope you are feeling a bit better now.

AnnVan · 08/07/2009 13:41

miamla could you fb me your email address? I tried to message mine to you, but for some reason at the moment, when I typ on fb, my T key doesn't work Seeing as my email address contains Ts... Anyhoo. THinking of having a nap.

Oh forgot to mention that DS was a total flirt on the train home. He really laid on the charm for all the commuters - chatting, shouting, laughing, walking around holding random peoples' knees etc. I think he brightened up their journey home somewhat [smil]

Hello.

no1 rain and red hair dye do not mix. I used to keep my hair very short and very red. When at college in W yorks I had to walk from campus to the bus stop in a summer storm and realised as I got there that i had red rivers coming down my face. not cool.

I also ended up buying red towels so that I wouldn't wreck them on the many post-dye-job washes.
I've been thinking about dying my hair again, though not dark red. the only thing is once your hair is long and dyed then doncha have to keep at it otherwise you get roots? and I am far too lazy for that. I'm thinking a light auburn.

Though v cool about the horse no1

Steaknife · 08/07/2009 14:19

I was going to post more but lil miss awake - catcha later...

sambo303 · 08/07/2009 16:00

steak I too once had red hair, now back to mousy brown. Tried the whole henna thing before graduating to chemicals, yuk, will not forget the smell of the drying mud pack on my head

oopsacoconut · 08/07/2009 18:41

dizzydixies · 08/07/2009 19:24

oopsacoconut · 08/07/2009 19:25

dizzydixies · 08/07/2009 19:27

right DD2 demanding attention so will probably be back tomorrow with full christening/birthday update - am sure you're all thrilled at the thought

dizzydixies · 08/07/2009 19:28

oh and happy anny mr and Mrs TS - I shall be able to remind you next year in plenty of time as it is DD1's birthday

CaptainCaveman · 08/07/2009 20:29

AM a little confused no1, is the ANKY for you or the horse? I must also confess to being a bit scared of horses - we lived opposite a field whilst growing up, which had horses in it. I used to have no problem walking through it until this foal (ie. bloody giant) chased me. My friend told me to walk into a bushy area to 'hide' but the ruddy thing chased me in there. It didn't actually hurt me, I ran off with this horse in hot pursuit, and i managed to jump over the fence to get out of the field. CAn you tell I'm mentally scarred?

Work insane today with swine flu causing mayhem...I need some ruddy wine!
