Pertelote - inadequate.
You goose!

You have steered your family through all the challenges of a baby's first year, and through major surgery, with love and humour and kindness when most people would have crumbled. (And crumbling would have been fine of course too)

Pshaw to anyone who thinks any family member could outshine you!

I can put that on Aug08 notepaper for your mum and aunt if that would help.

Also, purple shoes for small girls are fantastic.

Glad you had lovely times today TS. Steaky - how are you and Izzy this morning?

alittlebitshy · 19/07/2009 08:53

Hi all.
Albs looking fab in your skirt and how clever of you Miamla

We are okay this morning though Izzy still has a blotchy face and the rash has spread to arms and legs but does not seem bothered by it.

It is not a heat rash, could be from the virus that caused her temp, but could also be a reaction to the bug bite I noticed on her arm on Friday.
Fairly sure it isn't pig flu as the only people I know with it are you lot and I haven't seen the news that there is a mutant strain that manifests through the internet.

Off to post on Children's health boards for info.

If it is still here tomorrow we are back to the drs.

DH coming in early afternoon. I am sure he will have lots to say on the subject.

LWFH forgot to say, Magdelaine or Magdelena [confused name speller emoticon] are v pretty and Isobel is a fab name

Miamla · 19/07/2009 09:39

to all you knitters out there have a look at this new yarn from Bernat. I haven't seen it in RL yet but its in funky colours and its a baby wool! unheard of from my experience!

ps thanks all for lovely comments about albs' skirt

Is anyone an expert on fake tan / tinted moisturisers?
I bought a gorgeous dress for a wedding next Sat (can't link as it's not on JL site ) but it shows off excatly how much i caught the sun a few weeks ago and i have an expanse of white from the shoulder to a quarter of the way down my upper arm and barowner the rest of the way down. not v attractive at all. Heeeelp.

steaknife · 19/07/2009 10:39

Albs I'm no expert, only enough to know that if you've never used it before using it for the first time for a wedding is a bad idea. Is there a salon near you that does spray tan? That might be a safer fake option.

steaknife · 19/07/2009 10:44

oh good gawd why did I ût the Cranberries on the CD player - talk about depressing.

Nooooo Steaky step away from the Cranberries, they're not worth it Just wanted to say that you amaze me with your grace and determination despite overwhelming provocation. I hope you can find a way forward that makes you happy Oh, and your cat looks just like mine will put a picture on in a bit and you can see.

ALBS I agree let a proper expert help you, or find a lovely cropped cardi

Nearly better thanks VG, just a bit wobbly and still tired. While the idea of a massive walk through beautiful countryside is really appealing, think I will spend the day lounging around eating get well chocs hoping the sun comes out Did your DS recover enough for his surprise party?

Off on me holliers for a week.

Love to all.

Will find you on your new thread unless you hide it really well ...

hotterpotter · 19/07/2009 11:37

Cannot help I'm afraid VG as I am an inadequate knitter at best.

Have a lovely time Red don't forget to send us a postcard

Very of your swim Sazzles and bizarrely also of the trip to Northampton Lived in a village just outside Northampton from age 10-18 but have never been back and would love to have another look. And sorry but I am LOLing at 'luck of the drawer' is that like when you can't find something for ages but then there it is?

I was more lol'ing at 'feeling very virtual' You're always very virtual to us, Sazz.

Mucho screaming in the night from little one but he is better today, no temp, cheery if tired, so that's a plus. We're off to Twycross zoo in a bit, weather be damned. Must shower first as I am not fit for human consumption.

Going back to bed / going to the zoo both sounding like good plans Think I will be cleaning as DH did a great job looking after us all last week but he could only do so much and it's yucky upstairs
