hi Sazzles I'll swap you packing for a clingy baby and a leaky dishwasher.

I forgot to say thanks to you all for compliments on the desses and on Iz. Thanks!
Pert you were asking about the brown dotty dress, it is a one off as it was a short length that I had left. What size is your DD?

The dress measurements are
Chest 20 inches / 50 cm
Waist 20 inches / 50 cm

Finished length at back 16 inches / 40 cm

dizzy the photos are wonderful.

My poor kitty has some sort of liver disease He's at the vets having blood tests now - they phoned to ask if they could do an extra test for pancreatitis. We've got to pick him up at a specific time this pm, which makes me think they need to talk to us about something...really hope it's just to go through his medication and not anything more serious

Also feeling extra bad because I've been a bit short with him lately, lots of 'oh bugger off' 'leave me alone' in the middle of the night and so on. But I love him really, he's just a bit overenthusiastic.

TwilightSurfer · 07/07/2009 17:09

Cyteen {{{hugs}}}

Miamla honestly that is incredible news. You are making great strides with T.

Our night SUCKED! It would have been fine had dd1 not gotten her feathers ruffled. You see I "thought" dh fed Reese before I put her down to sleep. He didn't cue wake up at 10pm then 11pm then 12am at which time I figured food was the issue so I had to get her to feed her in the hopes she wouldn't wake dd1. Once fed I just put her down in the playyard in our room where she went back off to dream land. DD1 woke around 2am and noticed I'd moved Reese so she came crying into my room wanting to sleep with us because "SHE WAS DONE WITH HER ROOM!" This made me mad and I refused to deal with her. She ended up on the floor between my bed and Reeses. She woke up several more times fussing at me because she was cold. I told her each time "THEN GO BACK TO YOUR BED!" Then Reese woke at her normal 5am needing food. DD1 woke to complain again at 6am. DH's alarm went off at 7am. Said TO HELL WITH TRYING TO SLEEP by 8am.

got up...drove thru and picked up breakfast foods...went to park to play...went to store to get needed items...back home and both girls playing in their room.

THEY WILL BOTH NAP in a little while!!!

dizzydixies · 07/07/2009 17:24

AARRGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I cannot stress enough how fecking annoyed I am. am positively seething here but trying to fight it for DH's sake

families

Steaknife · 07/07/2009 17:48

Breath dizzy.

Steaknife · 07/07/2009 17:52

I can offer a cup of tea and bits of steak and green beans that dd is not eating for her supper. Sorry a bit low on comfort food since i finished the ice cream last night. Fidget pants is ready for her bath, catch up later.

hotterpotter · 07/07/2009 17:55

Dizzy sounds like your PIL are doing your head in again deep breaths kiddo they'll be going home soon and you can relax (I hope, don't say they're with you for a week!).

TS are you going to try it again with the DDs together? Can't be any worse than last night can it

Cyteen poor kitty hope you get good news from the vets

Well we had a lovely time with Stay and Play at nursery, despite getting absolutely piss-wet through on the way there as the heavens opened when we were two minutes down the road. Weekend over now, back to work in the morning still soon be Friday

TwilightSurfer · 07/07/2009 18:18

Dizzy {{{hands over pint of Jack}}}

HP YES. Last nights fiasco was a combination of poor parental communication and moody 5 year old crap. I've had words with the 5 year old. I will have words with the 40 year old this evening. Reese is a good kid and will do very well in her location, I'm sure of it.

Miamla · 07/07/2009 18:19

oh Dizz, come back to rant on here if it'll help

TS thank you but i really couldn't have done it without the support from you guys. DP has just thrown a trip to pil on me...this weekend!!! argh!! i'm really hoping that all my good work this week isn't back to square one when we return home

back in a sec

OP posts:
oopsacoconut · 07/07/2009 19:08

Dizzy - please vent here - if you hold it will explode when you least what it to and it could be messy

Cyteen - Sorry to hear about your cat {{{HUGS}}}

TS Hoping tonight is better and DD1 has reaslised that her actions has consequences. If she is fussy then DD2 won't sleep with her and the floor is cold!

Miamla - just try and carry it on as close to normal as possible when you are away - we did DD's same bedtime routine but jst a little later than normal.

Today - I took Miamal's lead and went to see the doc about my very sore bottom I had a fissure after DD was born and it has never really healed and recently split open quite badly. It was very as the doc I was supposed to see (a faceless locum) was ill and I had to see the Doc who I once lived nextdoor to, he is a family friend of DH's parents so was all very awkward. I have some lovely headache inducing cream and have to see a man about a bottom at the hospital. Oh yippee more people peering at my rear end. It seems to be one thing after another at the moment [blah]

DH and DD gone for a walk, she was pointing to the garden so out they went and have dissapeared, to the woods I presume.

Back later.

CaptainCaveman · 07/07/2009 19:22

cyteen praying for you and your kittykat. I must get ours back to the vet as he needs blood tests for hyperthyroidism .

miamla we have the pils too this weekend - although they are coming to us for a change so hopefully not too bad

no1 hotpot & cyteen I was free on 14th July but since sports day was abandoned today, ds seems to think it has been rearranged for next tues, which is of course the 14th. If sports day isn't next tues, are you all still free on 14th? oops it sounds wrong to say I'm praying for you and your bottom...but I hope you know what i mean?!

TS I had 2 night visits from ds1 but managed to put him back to bed.

hello everyone

alittlebitshy · 07/07/2009 19:51

cc as your post followed oops one i rad pils and piles. lol lol lol.

meetup was fabbo. pertelote made a v good choice re venue and i apologise for my sceptism .

sambo303 · 07/07/2009 20:15

evening all

lovely day out at minimeet with lovely august ladies and our good looking, well behaved babies. Excellent venue, I saw a toy from my very dim and distant baby days which was lovely. (banging coloured pegs into holes type thing)

ds worn out and fell asleep really quickly tonight

cyteen poor kitty, hope it's not serious

twilight fingers crossed for a better night for you

oops poor botty

dizzy sounds like you need a nice cup of tea and a sit down

hi to everyone not mentioned above

cyteen · 07/07/2009 20:30

Glad it was all good. sambo DS has one of those peg-banging things, he loves it but the hammer is a bit of a liability as yet

Thanks all for good wishes re. poorly cat. He's back from the vets and looking a lot more like himself, albeit still bony and tired, but at least he's been eating this evening and giving me the imperious stare Got to ring up for test results tomorrow, also have bags of pills to force down him. Hopefully it's just some kind of infection.

Miamla · 07/07/2009 20:34

DS settled in five minutes woo hoooooooo!!

must have been all the flirting he was doing with pertelote today
Oh and I absolutely agree about the venue! It couldn't have been better. Actually, it could have been, we could have spent more time in the fun bits and less in the cafe but at least we know for next time

oops your bum has my bum's sympathy! well done for getting it looked at!

cyteen miaow miaoow miaow (and in case you can't read 'cat' that means get better soon)

cc there's obviously something in the air! i actually wish they were coming to us instead of us visiting them. I never thought i'd be typing that particular sentence! Hope yours behave impeccably!

waves to sambo I'm not surprised DS was worn out! glad you got back ok

alittlebitshy · 07/07/2009 20:46

I was about to say how come the one evening i'm on the puter noone else is . but now i see some of you are. yay.

miamla yay for 5 min settling! My ds was so tired, but he perked up after you got off the train (not insinuating anything lol) and wasn't at all whingy even though he must have been shattered.

Loads of dd's class are off. I think a good few of them have swine flu. Another girl in the class and her brother (but not the other brother or mum and dad) had it last week and the week before so i guess our class is pretty likely to get it, but i'm hoping we don;t. dd is most concenred that she'd miss prizegiving if she got ill . i love 6yr old thought processes.

pertelote · 07/07/2009 21:11

Yay Miamla! Wearing boys out my speciality Glad the museum worked out... a revisit with extra playtime is definitely in our future! I raced the rain home and slammed the front door just as it really chucked it down again. VG and Red, hope your meet was as good as ours!

Oops we were sorry not to have you with us today but very well done for going to the Dr. I can imagine how embarassing it feels (of course it isn't/shouldn't be really) but v good to be on the way to sorting it out.

Cyteen glad it looks as though your cat is ok. One small dependent waking you at night is more than enough I think...

Hugs to TS and Dizzy. Good luck to you both for tonight... Repeat after me, "I am the model of saintly good temper, nothing can ruffle my calm..."

Miamla · 07/07/2009 21:23

i got absolutely drenched! i'd have been alright if i hadn't stoppped in at my old office to use their toilet! hey ho, DS was fine so that's the main thing. He was lovely and dry under my coat and my umbrella. somebody actually shouted from a house to check i was ok...they hadn't realised that their was a baby under the umbrella! i must have looked a right freak walking along getting drenched whilst keeping my tummy dry with an umbrella

right, i'm tired so going to make use of DS being asleep. DP already upstairs. I think he fancies some shreddies tonight but i think he's underestimating how tired I am so i'd better go and break the good news!

night all...sleepy babies and non-challenging pils to you all
see you in the morning

Attention All
I am an absolute idiot.
TODAY...the 7th of JULY...is my wedding anniversary.

DH texted at 4:30pm to remind me.

Where oh Where has my mind gone?

All went well.
DH brought home some Olive Garden takeout.
Then he mowed the yard while I let the kids play in the road. That just sounds too funny for words to me.

We are both in our little spots on our personal computers in our special little worlds. DD1 is running around like a wild animal. She claims she's doing an obstacle course. That explains why all the pillows from both sofas are spread out throughout the house. Reese is asleep. I fed her before putting her down. She's in our room though. DD1 was playing so nicely, although loudly, so I let her play. We can attempt the room change another night.

I'm so thrilled for all of you who got to meet up today. I'm feeling a bit lonely at the moment with most of my rl friends tied up in summer things. Your stories brightened my day.

Best wishes on a restful evening.
Night.

TwilightSurfer · 08/07/2009 02:25

btw
he really did mow the yard
and the kids really did play in the road

i wasn't trying to say "something" "something"
that's why it sounded so funny to me

night again

SoNotExpectant · 08/07/2009 05:00

TS happy anniversary.

Cyteen hope the cat is making a good recovery at home. I was adamant before DS arrived that ours wouldn't get any less attention but unfortunately I've not been quite as attentive as I would like to be however DS is very attentive to them but I don't think this is what they had in mind . I had to take them to the vets yesterday for their vaccinations. The taxi driver thought I was mad lugging 2 cats the combined weight of which is about equal to that of DS in their carry box plus DS in his carrier. The assistants/receptionists were only too pleased to chase DS around the surgery whilst the cats got their jabs.

DS decided to wake at 5am again both days this week not crying but happily chattering away to himself. He's aso been really difficult to get to sleep in the afternoon which usually is no problem. Maybe it's time to cut back on his morning nap to get him to sleep longer? Any advice?

Sambo, Miamla, Pertelote et al glad you had a nice day yesterday sounds like a lovely location for a meet up.

hotterpotter · 08/07/2009 06:28

LOL TS were you thinking of your ladygarden? Glad your forgetfulness didn't spoil your anniversary, and thanks for the reminder - mine is next week

Expectant DS just dropped his morning nap a couple of weeks ago - he usually lasts till lunchtime, falls asleep at the table then up to bed for 90mins to 2 hours. Although yesterday he survived from 6.20am until 7.45pm with half an hour's sleep Luckily he is sunnier than his sister when she is tired

Hello all have a lovely day. Looks drier today anyway... Better go and get dressed, my train leaves in 30 minutes!

alittlebitshy · 08/07/2009 09:00

Noone been on since I last checked . Am just waiting for ds to tire so I can chuck him into his cot for a nap....

oopsacoconut · 08/07/2009 09:07

HAPPY ANIVERSARY TS and MrTS

Sazzles - the 20th is good for us. Is anyone else around?

DD woke at 5 was fed and put back to bed and 30mins later she was yelling like a banshee so I brought her into bed with us and she went back to sleep, with much coaxing, until 8.15.

Weather looking good here to, we are off to the BF group today then off to meet friends for tea.
