Sazzles that sounds so cute!

Steak hope you have gone to bed and are getting some sleep. No extra advice here just sympathy. What an awful situation. You are so good to be so careful and fair.

Cyteen poor lad! Hope a good night's sleep has him feeling better - likewise to everyone else with feverish/spotty/poorly little ones, am I imagining it or are there quite a few at the moment? Poor poppets.

LWFH a lovely name as everyone has said! How lovely and exciting to have had a scan, hope you can get the itching fixed though.

TS hope your crazy weekend isn't driving you to distraction...

Oops, save me some tiffin please, yum yum yum!

We bought DD her first shoes today - they are so adorable. Can't believe we're at that stage. Oh and they are called Dizzy .

pertelote · 18/07/2009 21:36

x-post Sazzles, it was DD's yoga pose that sounded cute not your personal grooming!

Sazzles - I am still up for the ooz as it is know in our house! If you can't rearrange then we can organise for another day. Buckets is up this neck of the woods in August too so maybe we can arrange a meet then as well.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 18/07/2009 21:55

sazzles great you get some grooming time, and lol at googling that.

My dad and stepmum are having ds tomorow so I can spend some time with dd, as she has been very affectionate and clingy lately and still hitting ds. We are going to a horse show. My mum is doing a trade stand and handing out rosettes to winners. (she is chuffed as her shop name wright's town & country will beon all the rosettes)

pert I have been undecided about shoes for ds. He is trying so hard to walk on his own. He happily wobbles walks between me and whoever and is like lightening when you just hold one hand.
I just can't seem to work out which shoes he needs and what style. Is it cruisers.
I had in mind something firm but still soft for his little feet. Does that make sense. Anyone have any suggestions?

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 18/07/2009 21:57

Booked another short break today too. Dreading it already. I have said I would go camping with my dsis and her kids.
Was only for 4 nights as I didnt think I could cope for longer than that. Not done it with dcs yet. The site was offering 7 nights for price of 4. So we will see how it goes.
dh gladly paid as he will get sleep peace and quiet.

oopsacoconut · 18/07/2009 21:59

No1 we have cruisers for DD - they are very soft but still firm enough for her walk about outside without getting wet/prickled and the rubber toes mean she can crawl when she feels she needs to. both startrite and clarks do them.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 18/07/2009 22:02

thanks for that will have a look.

TwilightSurfer · 19/07/2009 02:23

hi. not read just posting before bed.

il visit was stressing but short. fil is so in love with both dcs. that was nice to see.

my aunt & uncle made it. they love the b&b i suggested. we had dinner at the marina next door then came back and played in the yard until dark. it was awesome. i love them so so much. tomorrow we're meeting downtown at the market then who knows what.

didn't want anyone to worry sense i did a crazy post before.

wishing all a sweet night.

pertelote · 19/07/2009 07:53

How quickly one gets used to not being woken at 3am, the 5am one is now the source of my irritation when I used to greet it (when it was the first one) with joy.

TS glad you had a good day after all. Have fun at the market.

ALBS the skirt is gorgeous - glad you had a good day too! Miamla you are so clever... and while I have your attention, are you and T feeling up to this picnic tomorrow, and do you want to meet at Stratford? It starts at noon, so would 11.30ish outside WHSmith suit you?

No1 the shoes I have are called cruisers. The assistant was extremely helpful (much better than I expected in our crappy little store) asked how much and how independently DD was walking and so on. The only thing he found hard to understand was that I wasn't enamoured of the pink sparkly girls' shoes and was actually quite keen to look at boys' styles! (Ended up with girls' though, but purple not pink at least ) They didn't have anything her size in the sale though [typical]. She isn't actually walking independently but she wants to be helped to cruise all the time and in our local playgrounds she really needs something on her feet!

I'm off to meet my cousin's baby today - he was born in May just before his dad took his final exams and they moved house. Yes, insane, I think so too. But the family grapevine has it that she is super-organised and coping wonderfully and of course baby James is sleeping through already. We shall see - I think that is partly my mother and my aunt doing their usual thing but I expect to come away feeling thoroughly inadequate anyway. Hope the cardigan I knitted him still fits, can't remember his birth weight but his dad is a big chap...
