June 2007 They're (almost all) two which makes them hard work in a whole new range of ways. But just as adorable!

Unable to sleep thought I'd see what had been going on and saw we were due a new thread. Hope this is OK?

makes sense Daisy....I feel like I did when E was newborn though. Mind you the anxiety is better which is the main thing.

Ohforfoxsake · 09/07/2009 10:12

Good luck Bumper! How very exciting!

Natty, I don't have a William, but a variation of the name. Love it, it suits my DS2 down to the ground.

Hello everyone

Sputnik · 09/07/2009 11:00

I like William too, actually that was my other Grandad's name!

Speaking of names, for some reason DD has decided to call DS Hamish

Fury, take him gently by the hand, mumble "Mummy/Daddy is a zombie, sweetheart" and lead him gently but firmly back to bed. Repeat as necessary.

Right, DH bought a cross trainer yesterday, off to try it out.

William is good. I prefer it to Charlie, but that's good too of course, and it's not my baby!

Been to the optician but no change in my prescription And picked up a half price eye test voucher on the way into Boots so only cost me £10 Jamlet was very good. I'd bought her a 99p sticker thing to play with but she was so fascinated watching what was happening she didn't touch it .

OK, I had my judgey pants on earlier. I met a mum I know (wouldn't quite go as far as to say friend) while out and she told me her husband had died 11 months earlier. Of course I gave her my sympathy, but I'm sure she must have seen the look of on my face when she then said she was 5.5 months pregnant .

Jammy, I would have found it hard not to have a shocked look at that as well! She certainly didn't hang about did she? or maybe it was a comfort shag in the depths of grief that had an unexpected outcome?

DD was fascinated at the opticians as well Jammy, and wanted to try the "funny glasses" on

My two babies have had naps, but are up now and still grumpy

Rialentless · 09/07/2009 11:42

think I would have had my judgey pants on too jammy. (and probably my tactless gob) but I would need a size smaller today (actually these jeans are a tad tight, but I got them on!)

DH made me take baggins to church group today, and I actually chatted to another mum, baggins was prowling round scowling at the other children. There was a lovely vango baby backpack in the pile of stuff for the bric-a-brac on Saturday - I want it!

appointment with mental health nurse this afternoon

Rialentless · 09/07/2009 11:42

maybe it was frozen sperm?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 09/07/2009 11:48

Yay Ria in your smaller trousers!

OP posts:
Rialentless · 09/07/2009 11:51

thanks jammy - they're new look ones too (I always think their sizes are small, couldn't get the M&S ones on though)

Rialentless · 09/07/2009 11:55

can anyone help me choose a wedding gift for our friends? they live together already so don't need anything (and have said no gifts on the invitation), but we would like to give them something (I was thinking a Woodland Trust tree?), also, is there a modern alternative to horseshoe/rolling pin on ribbon?

am off for a bit, need to prepare for appt.

Natty - how about Nathaniel? (combines both your names in a way)

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 09/07/2009 11:56

By the way, I have been very lax on the healthy eating front for about a month now. But last night I tried on "the dress" and miraculously it fitted . It should ideally be slightly looser, but I can wear it in 2 weeks time as long as I get myslef in order and don't put on any more weight in the meantime Sad thing is that if I'd hadn't just had a month "off" it'd be ever so much better . DH reminded me that I need to go get special bra at the weekend as it's low backed, so might pick up some "harvest festival knickers" (all is safely gathered in) to help?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 09/07/2009 12:01

charity gifts? Ria?

Rialentless · 09/07/2009 12:17

LOL @ knickers jammy. are you coming back to the other thread?

I am NOT here... (will look at that link tonight)

Sputnik · 09/07/2009 14:07

Congratulations on getting into your jeans and dress repectively!
Jammy maybe it was frozen sperm.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2009 14:14

Does anyone need any suncream? I've just had an email from Nivea Kids asking if my readers can test some. I have 5 so chop chop!

I've just set up a product testing website to run alongside my blog (once it's up and running properly I'll try and do what we discussed daisy ). What do you think? www.thebabyexperts.co.uk

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2009 14:15

Meant to say that you lot don't have to pay the membership fee, I'll send you stuff for free!!

] at the pg widow! Blimey!

Rialentless · 09/07/2009 14:19

I'll do it holly - what do I have to do?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2009 14:22

Thanks Ria. I'll get the company to send you some suncream and you just review it. A copy goes on my website and a copy goes on the company's. I'll let you know when I hear back from Nivea what you have to do.

Sputnik · 09/07/2009 14:22

I bought sun cream recently but I'll test anything else going!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2009 14:24

So did I sputnik, hence not keeping any for me !! I have various bits and bobs that need reviewing, I'll have a look at what I've got and let you know.

FrazzledFairyFay · 09/07/2009 14:25

Great website Holly. I'd be happy to test it for you

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2009 14:27

Thanks fairy...that's two, any more?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2009 14:29

Once I've got some more reviews on the site I'll start contacting companies asking if they want their products to be tested. I'll give you lot first refusal!!
