Thanks Myjob. Now if we can get him to make an effort...... Can't blame him, I was the same. I coasted through school and my degree. BTW, he goes to the pub with DH, not me! And as for giving him 'froot shoots'.....! Oh and how did you manage to produce such gorgeous babies if you're not attractive?

Tsk! Don't be silly! Your ds is the image of you!

I am stuck with sickly M asleep on my chest so I am watch Maury . However there is a 4 year old girl who weighs 7lbs more than I did three years ago!

Marthasmama · 08/07/2009 13:15

Oh My God! There is a 4 year old who weighs 10 stone! F*ing hell!

She weighs 7st 6. Unbelievable!

CantSleepWontSleep · 08/07/2009 14:08

Is there a medical reason for it mm, or just a terrible diet and lack of exercise?

OP posts:
Marthasmama · 08/07/2009 14:11

Terrible diet CSWS, in all the cases! One mum is proud her 3 year old daughter weighs 6 stone!

Yes you should have myjob! I've always been big, and my memories of food when I was growing up are of frozen cream cakes for supper, and butter and/or cream with everything. I mentioned this to parents recently, but they claim that we had the cream cakes once in a blue moon (big fat lie - they were only ever interested in making sure that my diabetic brother had the right amount of carbohydrates, and so if I ate a load of shite as a result they couldn't have cared less) and said that my weight problems were all my own fault, as I've got even bigger as an adult.

OP posts:
Marthasmama · 08/07/2009 14:35

Oh don't worry Myjob, I totally agree. Oh and DS is nearly 6 and weighs 3 stone.

Marthasmama · 08/07/2009 14:39

CSWS - Parents never seem to remember things as they were do they?

star6 · 08/07/2009 14:55

Thanks MM, it's taken me ages to get those from the camera... so much easier to just click and send blurry blackberry photos most of the time.

I hope I'm not one of those parents who can't remember things as they were one day...

star6 · 08/07/2009 15:01

all this talk is making me want to get ice cream from the freezer! Actually, they're smoothie popsicles but they will serve the same purpose.

jenwa · 08/07/2009 15:08

hey all
Just a quick one from work
Got out the house this am and inlaws arrived at 7:30 and I was at work for 7:50. Work from 8 -4:30 so not too bad. Just a shame I am not with the girls

Stop talking about food you lot! I had jacket potato here as they put on a lunch for the student. yummy.

star you are not overweight.

mm your ds, how sweet, my sister did that and told htem all how my grandad drank whiskey when it was only occasional.

agree with parents not remembering things. At least we have mn to look back on and remind us what we were doing and when

Gotto go and look busy although been told I can leave when I am done!

Marthasmama · 08/07/2009 15:09

DS's school uniform for next year has just arrived......I have ordered him girl's polo shirts. I am sure there was nothing on the website that said they were frilly necked girl's tops. Oh well, do you think he'll notice mind?

pepperrabbit · 08/07/2009 16:30

MM you could wait for DD to grow into them? maybe??

Marthasmama · 08/07/2009 16:34

I'll just take the back to the local M&S. I wouldn't really make ds wear them. Would be pretty funny though. I will definitely wind him up when he gets home.....

pepperrabbit · 08/07/2009 16:46

Oh, I thought you meant like logo'd stuff for the school not M&S!

Honeymoonmummy · 08/07/2009 19:22

Hey all. Sorry I've not been on for a few days. I'm really tired all the time. Went to counsellor today. Got to go now, Pops just finished in bath.

Ah Myjob I always find that too. I have a 'magical' weight that I aim for but nothing ever seems as fabulous as I had expected. DS didn't even notice. I told him that I had his new school uniform and he was pleased. I asked him if the shirts were ok, he said 'cool, you've got me blue ones again. I like the blue ones'. I asked him again if they were ok, he said yes. This went on for ages, me asking if he was sure him saying yes they were good thank you. In the end I had to get him to look at the collars. Typical man, doesn't ever see anything!

Hmm - How did the counsellor go? Do you feel it helped/will help? Are you still taking the ADs? Could you be anaemic? I find that a few days before and a few days after my period I am stupidly tired, plus I feel dizzy, weak and my pulse is fast. I was convinced I had high blood pressure, but I haven't (and never have had so it would have been odd). I am convinced that due to the timing it must have been periods. Are you eating enough?

M has been a mixture of draining and wonderful today! She is still under the weather so has needed to be cuddled pretty much all day. But she has started dancing. It is adorable. She wiggles her bottom, shakes her had and waves her arms about. I love it!!!
